Thank you, Sara. So many women believe BHRT is dangerous(“it causes cancer!”) and don’t consider the benefits of appropriately prescribed therapy. A science-backed overview really needs to get out to the public! Looking forward to the follow-up videos.

I am 64 and started on Bioidentical hormones 2 years ago. I have worked out my entire life. I am not over weight and take no meds. I started this journey because I no longer felt well. I felt like I had served my purpose in having children and no matter how much I worked out or ate a proper diet, I was done. My body was changing, muscle. converting to fat, loss of libido and energy, exhausted from poor sleep, night after night. My lifetime of working with the same trainers was getting me no where and for the first time in my life I didn't want to go to the gym. Bioidenticals changed my life. I haven't felt this good in 15 years. It makes the risk worth the quality I now have.

You mentioned the window of opportunity being between 50 and 55 years old. I was told that the window is between five to 10 years after you became post menopausal.
I had mi last period at 57 in December 2019 and was one year without a period period in December 2020. I’m 60, do not have a medical condition, have a healthy life style, hace been exercising for the last 35 years, have my uterus and I’m considering starting Hrt. Am I going to get the benefits of using this therapy?

Hi Dr, I am 2 years in Menopause and was just started 3 months ago on HRT, although I was having severe symptoms years before. How long does a woman take HRT after she is already in Menopause? Thanks

Can you take estrogen BHRT if you have a uterine polyp? My dr says it can feed cancer if the polyp is cancerous. And if it isn’t it can be in time…

Dear dr. Sara, what about women in early menopause (45) when it’s best to start HRT?

Thank you for clarifications. What do you think of COC (e.g., Qlaira) as a therapy for peri-menopause?

Dr.Sara I’m 69 and finally got a level of estrogen drawn after 8 years on bio identical hormones. It came back 556. My PCP said “ it’s high, but you’re supplementing,”. It was so above what the lab range said though that I got a second opinion and she was aghast, said she’s never seen a level that high in s9 done my age, and wants me at 60. Taking only for bones, had no symptoms with menopause. Is there a level one should strive for?

Thank you! I have gallstones. From what I understand, transdermal progesterone has a better safety profile than oral? Is this true?

Dr Sara, I am 46 and entered menopause. I am healthy and did all check ups, and hormone panels. What is out of balance is low estradiol and progesterone and high DHEA/s. I eat healthily, and I exercise. Do I need HRT as I do not have symptoms or do I need HRT?

I am used to listen and read medical doctors for years, my 25 years investigation made me cure myself of 4 UNcurable diseases, I am educated in science, and listen regularly to dr Bergman and Eckberg... I've never heard someone say so many words with so little actual information...

Hi, I have endometriosis and I’m facing the decision to possibly have a full hysterectomy. I know this will force me in to menopause. I’m only 37. I’m trying to look at all my options. I’m assuming I would take hormone replacements. What are other big symptoms I should look out for?

Thank you for this! I've always been scared of HRT, but I'm struggling. Do you think if your menopausal symptoms are still many at age 57, it would be okay to take HRT as you described for 3-5 years?

How do you treat a woman in young age who had estrogen based cancer.
Would you treat with estrogen and progesterone?
As I heard women are treated with estrogen even their cancer was estrogen related.
Those women are mostly treated with estrogen blockers for a while. But then after the treatment they can still get estrogen?
    I believe that's odd.

goodness where do I begin... I don't even know how to approach my Dr or OB about this issue... I am 47 had hysterotomy almost 2 years ago (still have ovaries) and I am exhausted!!! There are things I want to do and accomplish in my head but I lack the energy to get it done.. all my lab work "looks good" TSH B12 Vit D but they didn't test estrogen testosterone etc... and honestly I am scared of hormone Therapy (my mom died of uterine cancer 4 years ago at 74...

But wait....these studies were with the non-bio identical types of hormones so I don't see how they are even relevant besides knowing that it's not what we want to be using and to realize that this study was deeply flawed from the start. As for the bio identicals that you prescribe, do you hesitate to use transdermal progesterone simply bc it hasn't been studied enough, and/or do you feel there might be issues with absorption? I sure do see the massive need for all women to start thinking about hormones early on in life and understand their function in keeping us healthy throughout our lives. Thank you!
