I adore this woman! I love the way she uses integration of body mind & spirit for healing & backs it up with science. She is amazing ! Thank you so much Sarah for your work and sharing it with us!
I love you Dr. Sara... Thank you so much for all your research and for making it available for us through your books and videos... Your forever thankful student!
While the need to get the gist in 2 minutes seems proper due to time crunch one way to curb anxiety is listen intently to the stories of others . Story telling and listening are powerful relaxants by themselves .
Yes double Wow, what a fabulous balance Sara has of gental power... What an inspirational speaker and lady, she was glowing, and so practical... Many Blessings to you.
Love your presence, your intelligence, wisdom, consciousness, Grace Sara! Thank You for gifting those of us who can hear your message so much hope and help for finding our footing in this adventure of understanding hormones!
wow...i've tried just about everything she had...hmmmm....except that diamond thing..what IS that? if i'd known about it/could afford it, it'd be on my list, i'm sure. but, this woman gives me HOPE....she is FABULOUS!!! i'm SO glad i stumbled upon this today....
Great seminar. I like that she mentioned chocolate. Only thing missing here is circadian rhythm balance through sunlight and meal schedule. The cortisol problem is not much about it being high but more about being high all the time or high and low at the wrong times. Modern society teaches us to be more active at night. We study at night (active better brainwaves), watch entraining shows and night, go to club and exercise at night (and evening). I think that’s the major problem. Back then, you wouldn’t be able to do all these things at night as there would be no light to let you.
about orgasm.. look up Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome (POIS) Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome is a virtually unknown condition that causes crippling symptoms following orgasm. many people get depressed after orgasm
I hop on my exercise bike to de-stress. And I pray. I also eat super healthy, and I intermittent fast. Due to an injury, it's difficult to get back to yoga. I have it in mind to get back to massage th therapy and using a sauna. Things that bring on stress for me: ruminating on huge past hurts, and toxic people disrupting my peace. I sometimes feel stress from how much I've had to isolate myself from toxic people. I don't drink alcohol at all. I think my stress levels have come down some, but I feel like I have a long way to go.
Hi Lucy, my condolences to you for your past hurts. There is hope! (Trauma is the primary disrupter to hormones.) First, in your prayers specially ask Almighty God to Supernaturally align & balance cortisol levels, adrenaline levels, serotonin levels, dopamine levels, testosterone levels, estrogen levels, and restore excellence to vagus nerve system; restore all to His Excellence that He Created (repeat as need). Second, forgiveness. And continue seeking healthy dopamine sources (e.g. yoga, exercise, massage, bubble baths, etc.) God bless.
thanks for this, we have cushion disease in our family and cortisol over production is making alot of senses to my life. I created a meditation to cleanse in nature, which really helps me. aligning mind, body and soul and loving yourself to become love and peace using nature..
This woman is beautiful... oh and thanks for the knowledge by the way. What was the name of the writing course you said in the beginning of this video, Jack Who?
Indian ancient science like Vedas, puranas ,mantras, yoga, it all came from cosmic energy resources unknown. Unfortunately, when various religious and political invaders entered India centuries ago ,few of this scriptures are destroyed or stolen, but today the same old science is evaluating again to help humans.
What about adding a Pound of fruits to a pound of vegetables per day. Ten servings or about a Kilo (2 lb) is the desirable amount for men. Women can get away with may be 8 servings. Fruit juices dont count but vegetable juice cup accounts for one serving of produce. 2 pounds of produce daily works i 2 weeks via modifying the gut biome
Hug 8 Times a day? How? With whom? I'm going out 3 to 4 times a week to meet people, aproach a bunchload of women and maybe once a week I hook up, but it's such a chore, it's so exhausting... I mean, how you people find your 8 hugs a day? Just how? I can't go around just hugging people. wtf?
There are other ways to increase oxitocin. If you can at least get some kind of positive social interaction, that will help (even over the social media). Or maybe getting a massage. But be aware that too much oxiticin can make us overly sensitive towards other people - and thus anxious...
I wish people who have told 'their story' a million times on stage didn't do the weepy thing. Yeah I know I'm cynical but come on, it actually makes you question the sincerity of all that follows.
Probably a lot don't even have big stress in their lives. If they don't have to work, that's a big thing. If they have a lot of money, that's another. They should try working 50-60 hard hours a week and see how that feels.
I think this woman herself cannot help herself, how she can help others? The high perceived stress which manifests as high cortisol is a reaction of the body because the mind lives in the fears that has created. The only way to heal is to see your own fears and face them with honesty to yourself. Do not hide them under the carpet in the light that a "yoga" will help. Your fears will be there for you waiting in the corner....Good luck with being honest with yourself.
Your comment is very interesting. Can you please tell us more about how to deal with the fears when facing them, and how that will help lower the cortisol levels ? Thanx in advance.
Dear K what you are speaking of is only mental what Dr. Sara is speaking of is physical and thus we need to use herbal cures and yoga for us to heal..you although are a man so what your talking about is altogether different,,xoxo
23:37 _"...because I'm a feminist..."_ ===> that's it. I'm out. _(just refuse to give ideologues any of your time. simplest stress management ever...)_
Perhaps you're projecting, friend. She mentions clear differences between male and female biology. This is not consistent with most Feminists who are social constructionists. So at the very least, she isn't ideological. This woman is correct. Cortisol regulation will help get your life under control. And I say this as a 31 year old male centrist.
@@gutchiespencer2714 If she were ever to have any complaints I file a complaint O need disability need say she worked for an ATM O and she needed workman's comp she must have that documented and she can't documented herself she must go to an independent practitioner and have that looked at. Any issues or problems that you have maybe it was related to health insurance or life insurance that has to be documented by an independent governing body like an independent medical practitioner. Also you cannot write prescriptions for yourself. That is the for one of the fastest ways to get your license yanked from you. I hope this answered your question
Not so, dark chocolate contains xanthines which are close but not the same as caffeine. It is a very potent anti-oxidant and does not have the same effect as caffeine on raising cortisol. 7 grams per day is sufficient to make a significant impact on lowering risk of heart attack and stroke.
I find this video very informative and nicely done, and have barely heard her promote any of her stuff! People are not dumb, your comment and attitude is just very rude!

The supplements might help. I thought I ordered them. After 2 weeks I guess I didn't. Time to order them for that "cocktail."
