  • Triglycerides are a type of fat found in your blood. While you do need triglycerides to supply your body with energy, having too many in your blood can increase your risk of heart disease.
    Problem is about 25% of adults in the US have elevated blood triglycerides, so in this video I'm looking at 5 ways to naturally reduce them.

      Probably perilla oil. It has less saturated fat and more omega-3/omega-6 fatty acids. However, olive oil contains things like vitamin E and K, so both are healthy in their own ways. Eating a range of different healthy foods can help improve your nutritional diversity and overall health more than just eating one specific thing all the time, even if it's healthy.

    There seems to be an ongoing debate over eating quality saturated fat and reducing all carbs including whole grains. You'll find that Mayo clinic and AHA tend to agree with this video and Cleveland clinic will say eat more quality sat fat, and stay away from carbs including whole grains.
    Everyone agrees on losing belly fat and regular exercise. Everyone agrees on reducing sugar, but there is a big divide on eating meat and whole grains. Both sides seem to have credible experts, both sides seem to have studies in their favor, both have anecdotal testimony.....very hard to know what's correct...I'm thinking it might just depend on the individual

    Was on high sugar carb fruit diet with low red meat for decades
    Insulin resistant fast glucose upper 90's
    10 months ago started IF 16/8 to 19/5 and still on same diet with relatively lower table sugar intake
    After 7 mo. (3 mo. ago) started low carb diet (50-70g /day) w/ IF.
    2 months after that I did my first triglyceride blood test ever
    Fasting glucose 84
    Total chol 202
    HDL 55
    LDL 16O
    TG 302
    Freaked out and stopped eating red meat and meat fat
    After 10 days repeat bloodwork but I was 45 hours into a 48 hour fast (coincidence)
    Fasting glucose 64
    Total chol 184
    HDL 63
    LDL 102
    TG 95
    1. Is the low carb diet for 2 mo. Caused TG 302 or it must hv been 400 or 500 and low carb/keto brought down to 302?
    2. What brought TG down from 302 TO 96 in 10 days is it from obstaining from red/fat meat or caused by prolonged fast towards the end of which they draw the blood sample.
    Is 302 to 95 good sign or just the product of not eating for 45 hours.

If you ask me I really believe the big pharmaceutical companies really do want to put us all on some type of medicine, high cholesterol, blood pressure, etc. The new blood pressure charts change a year or two ago. Now to be considered health with normal blood pressure it’s 120/80 and below. I believe that’s a bunch of crock. Try to exercise as much as you can and religiously change your diet. I don’t drink or smoke, my vice is junk food. So I need to just stay away from that and eat healthy natural food. No soda or sugary drink, no sweets, no fried foods, no white bread or white rice and sea salt or pink Himalayan salt. Steel oats is good as well, green tea with organic honey and a tea spoon of cacao powder is very good every day. Terrasoul cacao powder is the best, you can get it online or amazon.

    I agree with most of your suggestions but diet is wrong. Fruits and grains will raise your triglyceride levels. I keep mine around 45 and I do that by eating a very low carb diet. I do not eat fruit, grains, potatoes, corn, rice or beans. Nothing affects your triglyceride levels more than sugars(carbs). Your other suggestions can improve health but exercise and a very low carb diet is all you need to control your triglycerides.

    • @Blackfire970
      @Blackfire970 7 років тому

      Rawveganse yep coconut oil is even better than olive oil. flax contain ala not epa & dha & in men only 5% of consumed ala can convert & 15% for young women. better would be sea based DHA supplements but for EPA you had to eat fish or fish oil no alternative.

    • @Victoriarawvegansesvenska

      BlackfireVatsal thanks for your reply! Yes coconut oil might be good, but there are so many different studies, therories etc about if the saturated fat from coconut is good or bad...its confusing! Nobody knows :P BUT for me, it feels good, so I go for my own feeling- it might be good then!
      About converting omega 3, yes its true, but its easy to get all you need anyway if you also eat a lot of fruit and greens wich are a good source of omega 3, I have done that for years and Iam not deficient in omega 3 fatty acids :)

    • @Blackfire970
      @Blackfire970 7 років тому +4

      Rawveganse (svenska) saturated fat is not bad I think they even did a video on it.
      coconut oil is better I think because more than 50% of it is MCT oil it's get absorbed easily in comparison than any other oil & it's tasty as hell plus no adulteration as yet (since 70% olive oil is fake) so it's better
      I didn't knew fruits & green have Omega 3 never heard abt it.
