I had the privilege of seeing Jimmy Durante
    “In person” in 1968.
He could keep up with the youngsters on stage. I’m so blessed to have grown up in the 40’s & 50’s.

@Grampy - Jimmy was on the Kraft show several times with Jolson, and each one is a gem. Check this channel for some other appearances. Please do subscribe to this channel if you've not already, check out more material at the website, www.jolson.org, and consider joining the International Al Jolson Society for even more material and access to Jolson's legacy.

Thanks for the invite. I signed on years ago.
BTW, I got my first paying job in 1957, first paycheck I ran to the local record store and bought my first Jolson LP. I still have them all plus.
Thank you for maintaining the Jolson web and keeping the voice alive. It’s amazing the youngsters who are discovering Jolson.

@@grampy2014 Yes, they are discovering him, but we are doing our best to keep the flame alive. If you are a member of the IAJS, you will love the new Jolson Journal that will be coming out next month. Looks top notch!

Yes, Jolson's voice seemed only to improve as he aged. See more, including his last recorded performance, this month on the Jolson website www.jolson.org
