I was ghost peddling in 7th gear, PAS 5 @ 20MPH. I changed the factory chainring from 48 to 56T. Also changed the Freewheel from 14/28 to 11/28. It made a big difference! I am now able to peddle with friction at 28MPH! You will have to install about 3 more links to your chain to access gears 1-3. I am waiting on a new longer chain from Amazon. This is a great upgrade!
Nice bike. It's a good value for what you get. I like the 3 inch tires, they seem to run quieter than the 4 inch ones. Thank you for the reviews and I enjoy your unboxings.
800 bucks for that bike is an absolute steal if you're looking to get into some cheap transportation. It even comes with front and rear racks. My old Rad Rover 6 had a 13AH battery and I still could get 80 km range pedaling with a mix of PA2 and PA3 and some occasional full throttle up hills.
That trully amazes me! I've had 4 or 5 fat ebikes including from rad power, from 14 to 17ah batteries, 30 miles is the most I've gotten! ( that was with a 17). And that's just using assist 2 or 3 with a very light use of throttles. I'm not a heavy guy lol And I don't have a lot of hills around me.
Not really sure how they can even manufacture it for 800 bucks. But tbh in my experience buying super low budget items never works out, better to just save for a little longer and get a better quality item. Velotric or aventon aren't far off from this cost
@@cynic256 In China these bikes cost nothing to manufacture. The only thing that is of any real expense is the battery. This isn't to say the components or the frame are bad. They just don't cost very much in China. It probably costs more to ship them to the US.
@@JaksIRL Like most things really, It's all about supply chain and RnD. Nice review! After looking at the bike pics on the site, the headlight is supposed to be mounted a little higher than where you originally had it, not on the rack. That way it'll still turn with the wheel. 😉👍
I currently own Aventon Aventure 1st gen my 2nd e-bike an upgrade from Santa Monica 500 watt bafang shut down when in the 70s or above E-10 error code I’ve been watching you and am purchasing next e-bike through you thank you
What is a good suspension seat post replacement for these folding e-Bikes that either don't have one at all or come with a sub par model? Also is there particular seat you like for maximum comfort for pavement riding? Great reviews, keep it up.
Awesome video. My bikes arived this weekend and im loving them so far. However, i cant seem to find any information on how to access the speed/pedal assist settings. All i can find is similar information for other bikes. Any insight?
Kinda disappointing?!? 13ah nowadays is ridiculously small. 20ah is the smallest I’d go for this type of folding bike. Only way a 13 ah or smaller battery makes sense is in a commuter cruising bike, where the user basically wants to input the majority of power themselves with only a bit of assist for large hills and such.
13ah for something under 1K is pretty good, Lectric XP 3.0 cost 1K but only 1000 peak power and 10 ah battery, there is upgrade on the battery size for the lectric xp 3.0 but it cost 200 more. Heybike ranger is also similar to this, but heybike ranger cost $1299.
I imagine the range is okay. I've got a 52v 16ah battery on my bike and traveling to work and back throttle only is 14 miles. I always arrive home with 50-55% battery left and my average speed is 22mph.
Im not sure how to get a hold of you, but I was looking into ebike recommendations and was shown your channel. You have a lot of good stuff on here. I thought about getting the Gforce T7 but neither of the promo codes work. Is there a code that does work or another way for you to get credit when I go to purchase one?
My Engwe L20 2.0 arrived missing the front fender. This was bought directly from Engwe official wep site. Weeks and weeks of back and forth with Engwe customer service. Still no fender. Just promises to send me a custized one. Whatever that means. And now they tell me I should have made an unboxing video.
Where to Get those tyres and tube ? Im in europe . Ordered from AliExpress but there is very sh*ty quality of both and i Get damages of tube every 2-3 weeks . Not a puncture but its leaks on the seams
Can you do a review of the Porsche eBike Cross Performance EXC? They are 15 grand so I would like you to buy one and test it before I use my money. Thanks Matt
So 1 bar left you did almost 20 miles, abused the heck out of it and the volt meter showed you had 50% battery life left… what gives dude? This is fantastic isn’t it?
I don't understand. You mentioned range being its weakest point. Company claims 80 miles (I know, bullshit), and I ordered this specifically for its long range. Another reviewer got 49 miles with moderate pedaling. I'm sure it can do 60 miles. But you only got 10. Maybe you didn't charge it properly, or maybe you really beat the shit out of it driving on SAND; something I would never do.
Mechanical disk brakes are unsafe at any price. Seniors and kids don’t have enough hand strength to use properly in an emergency and most consumers cannot properly adjust their brakes causing problems as the pads age. I personally believe hydraulic brakes should be required on all class 3 bikes.

Can the controller be changed to a 30 amp without damaging the motor?
Sounds like a car run out of oil.

The motor is insanely loud though so it offsets any noise reduction from the tires.
My tire literally popped on my second day owning the bike . Cheap ass tires man
Very helpful I was curious about it. Thanks. Whoever won their giveaway I hope they enjoy it. Cheers
I actually purchased one based on your video. It's just what I need for my commutes.
will it climb hills?

Excellent bang for the buck. Even though it's light it seems pretty solid. Nice review once again. Thanks Matt!

Thank you for your reviews! I just bought this bike! Its awesome
I just ordered one thanks for your review
Do you recommend the engwe l20 2.0 or the wildeway fw11 3.0? Looks like they both climb hills about the same

Never do a UA-cam video after drinking 2 pots of coffee. I felt my pule rate rise.
So it’s pretty much already together ? Just the minor stuff to snap in?
Kinda disappointed that it only has 13 ah battery for being 52v

@@usernamesrlamo Where I live my city is super small so 13ah can do a round trip, it's just an issue for large cities

For a 48v ebike, it's not that unusual, but most 52v have 30, 40, or even 60ah batteries

Cannot find the $50 dollar coupon?
Why dont you make a chart on all the bikes .. so to
help people out :)
There's a list in the comments
Can't wait for engwe to put this bike on their EU store, heard only good things about it and the price is very good.
It looks like engwe L20 SE
He put that front wheel on WRONG. Hope he didn't lose the tire and crash. That washer has that little prong on it for a reason.
13:28 should have given a ride
Test ride 😂
Yup not on the bike tho 🥰
The design of the bike is ideal. Just go down to 14 inch wheels and bigger battery and it would be a portable monster!
What’s the difference between this and the L20 2SE. They look identical .
did you try to unlock it? is it unlockable? Thanks for the review
Can i put passenger seat on this bike?

What’s up with the 264lb weight capacity? Any ideas of why it’s so low?
It would be nice if you could review the M20 now that you have reviewed this bike.
Are you able to do a video on the ridstar q20? I'm looking to get one I just wanna see how good it will be
How is this 56v? I'm from England and I can only see it advertised as 36v, did they make two different models?
Can you use it without installing the battery
im trying to find out is there any off brand or a bike thats real similar to a fucare fw11 ebike ncase i can use the same battery for both e-bikes ?
how do we unlock to 28 on throttle?
I hate to admit it, but i thought it was trail happy tv not tail happy for months 😂 its a good name either way.
Where to Get those tyres and tube ? Im in europe . Ordered from AliExpress but there is very sh*ty quality of both and i Get damages of tube every 2-3 weeks . Not a puncture but its leaks on the seams
Maybe you can try putting inner tube sealant, maybe it will help
Is this available on the European market?
Does it have torque sensor?
Nice if you are taller you can get a 20 ah battery under the seat maybe.
Brilliant idea
does it come with the battery??
Hi, is the speed control by throttle?
You can use throttle only up to 20mph.
No chain guard?
Looks like the old heybike ranger folding ebike with a few upgrades.
Can you do a review of the Porsche eBike Cross Performance EXC? They are 15 grand so I would like you to buy one and test it before I use my money. Thanks Matt
You didn't put the lugs in when putting front wheel on
I like the scenery in your videos. What area of Southern CA do you live in? Thx
The beach is Venice Beach.
Culver I think. But he rides the sm/Venice boardwalk areas
Did you ever review the Quiet Kat Lynx?
I thank you for discount code but mate I have been waiting for 3 months now it’s not good and I have to my money up front not good
Would you consider yourself to be a professional zip tie remover by this point?
The bike sounds incredibly loud based in the video 😢
Hmm this one or the wildeway fw11s. Thinking Wildeway with the 32AH battery and same price
What did you go with and why?
What does the bigger battery do?
So 1 bar left you did almost 20 miles, abused the heck out of it and the volt meter showed you had 50% battery life left… what gives dude?
This is fantastic isn’t it?
Well looks like you're not mechanically inclined I can just look at the bike and know how it goes together without instructions😮😮
Worth it
Cool !!
I noticed the first time he mounted the handle bars he put it on wrong. Then later he corrected the mistake and didn't point that out.
lol I remember that, didn’t feel it was worth extending the video length for that mess up
Nice review of a nice bike. Thanks Matt 👍
What’s your favorite E-bike you’ve tried out so far?
check the links in the description box
try the Ridstar Q20

What is the total weight including the battery?
No way I would go for this bike! For about $300.00 more I can buy the way better Engine Pro 2.0!
Seems like a 52v scam considering the small 13ah
What do you mean by this
16:12 😅
Sadly I still cannot afford it.

I have the SE version of the L20 and I can tell you the range of this e bike is terrible down as low as 6 miles range. Pointless e bike.
Junk, Slow...down. 😮
Copied and paste videos, ugh .same old thing.
