    The Wallke H9 AWD is dialing up the heat in the fierce ebike battles in 2024 yet another notch. This ebike not only has a massive 48v 60ah battery with energy reserves of nearly 3000 watt-hours, but it also has dual motors for combined peak output numbers well over 2000 watts. This thing launches like a bat out of hell with its dual motors planting all that power to the ground with minimal wheel spin. If you choose not to whiskey throttle it all around town you could get over 100 miles of range with a battery of this size, I've done it before on similar spec-ed bikes running a single motor. For the current price, I think the Wallke H9 AWD is a force to be reckoned with in 2024.

    All testing in 7th gear on full throttle. I gave this thing a proper test for a big guy.
    Aight homies, big dude here (6ft 275-300lbs depending on when you read this)... Got the Wallke AWD H9 because of this review (bought me and my brother who is roughly 5'10 230 each one). So far I've ridden it from the Southside of Chicago to the Northside twice. Thing is awesome. Some lady smoked me at 87th n western from the east to west bound right turn lane, but the brakes worked perfectly to stop the bike... She just kept coming over the crosswalk line and smacked my front wheel throwing me off the bike and onto my knees and hands. Only busted the fender a bit (popped the little studs that were holding the plastic to the middle bracket, took me 15 mins to throw a nut and bolt on there when I got home). Lady was in her 60s,stopped,immediately got out and offered to call an ambulance... My fatass was more embarrassed I got tossed from the bike than hurt so I made sure she was fine and went on my way (my Lil bro was pissed I didn't get insurance info.. I'm very passive if it's an accident, but if you tread on me... Its a different story) ... I got health insurance and it's been 2 days since the incident and my knees are already doing better. Walking was fine but bending then up and down stairs was a little rough. Nothing some ice couldn't help... Former rugby player so I'm used to taking shots to my knees. I didn't have a helmet on because I'm an idiot, but the gloves did save my hands getn scraped up. Had long thicker sweat pants on so I feel that helped a lot too... Knee pads in my future... It's a high fall.
    Going to the Northside about 22 miles I got the battery to read 51%,charged it at my brother's to 100 while we watched a movie, and then rode home which read 61% (took a direct path home instead of winding through neighborhoods like on the ride up). I will do a more thorough drain on the battery to see how it performs in the future, but it was only in the 60s Monday... It's been in the 30s every day since. So far, I'd give it 9.5/10 as my tailbone (former injury stuff) was pretty sore when I got home, but Western is BUMPY AF if you know the road... It handled it like a pro.

      Was avg 30+ on the on board speedometer the majority of the trip. Western is pothole city, but flat for the most part. On the biggest incline 85th up to 87th I did actually give it some pedal from the light just to get ahead of traffic, but even without down shifting the bike maintained 28mph on on board speed once I stopped pedaling. I beat traffic to the light which blew me away. Super happy with the performance. Hopefully it keeps up.

      It's good to hear you're enjoying your new bike. I have a quick question for you...
      Does the front wheel / handle bar wobble when going at high speeds?
      The reason I ask is because I got the G-Force T7, which is a very similar bike to the H9 minus the front wheel motor and after watching his review I have only one gripe. The front wheel / handle bar wobbles when going passed 20 mph.
      I figure it does that because most of the weight is in the rear and me being a heavy dude like you, combined with the heavy ass 60ah battery kinda screws with the front handling of my bike.
      I saw the H7 is coming out too and I'm trying to decide between the H9 and H7, but I wanted to verify if someone like me gets the same wobble on a similar bike.

      @@JESUSISKINGOFKINGSLORDOFLORDS i have had the h9 for a month now. The only issue was the rear brake line rubbed against the tire due to improper installation in the factory. I have been waiting 2 weeks for a replacement. My only gripe is that wallke blatantly lies about the size of the motors. The motors are advertised as 1000w in the rear and 750w in the front. In reality they are 750w in the rear and 500w in the front. I weigh 240lbs and i get 80-90 miles per battery charge and i do not take it easy. Max speed i have seen using gps is 32mph. Excellent hill climbing abilities as well.

    That's a heavy duty package there! Definitely a bike I would not feel the need to upgrade. Agree that the weight being centered helps with handling. The RadMini has the same placement, and that makes it nimble on actual mountain bike trails. While I do like the way dual motors pull you through sand, I prefer a single motor with the equivalent power. Even with dual Tesla batteries, my total bike weight is 79 pounds.

    This has become a ritual for me now since (2023) following ebikes. Love your approach on giving these thinge a thorough Real World workout in all the important areas. Plus , the way this ebike market is popping , you've got an enless supply ;-) Also, i wonder as a theft deterrent, can they make an easy way to lock up the wheels from turning like on the juice brakes perhaps? I'm thinking of just a quick temporary way to disable a bike that people couldn't roll it away instead of roping itup ? Thanks

      I weigh 250 pounds, my girlfriend weighs 130 pounds, And it doesn't feel any different with her on the back. Especially when in dual motor mode. It was Easy to put pegs from Amazon on it for her. I'm actually starting to wonder if something might be wrong, because the battery is taking so long to drain. If you're looking for a combination of portability, range, power, and payload, this works great.

      I weigh 250 pounds and I've gotten right about a 100 miles on 75% of the battery. Some of that is with my 130 pound girlfriend on the back. Almost all of it just with rear wheel drive. There aren't a lot of hills in Florida, but I do have a fairly steep one near my house that made it very easily in AWD.. The only thing I'm replacing on this bike is the goofy giraffe neck handlebars with BMX style that I ordered from David brand new. This thing is just awesome. Saves me a lot in $4 a gallon diesel for making local trips around town.

      I have noticed it a little bit when I am on the street and going full speed, But you don't need both motors in that scenario. It's easily overcome by just backing off the throttle a little bit if it's that much of an issue. It's not an issue for me at all.

    I think the battery on top of the rack in the rear would be a better design for the bike and then they can find a way to also mount the seat or cargo rack over it. This would shorten the frame as well as make is easier for shorter people to ride it. Even at its lowest setting this bike is too tall for me and too huge, I am 5'4", it also looks extremely long, you're 6'5" and the bike looks as big as you. Cool bike though, I always enjoy seeing all the new releases of dual motor ebikes, as they're not too common but definitely fun and necessary for some big hills. I have a grizzly myself and I'm converting another ebike to dual motors.

    • @BlairAir

      From a logical point, that sounds good, but I have to ask: Ever ride a bike, any bike with a load on the rear? That is the worst place to put a load for handling. Even over the front wheel is preferable. It makes turning, which requires tipping the frame and using the shoulder of the rear tire completely unstable. Maybe a 20 Ah battery, under 10 pounds, but this is triple that, plus your putting g the load up high. I see your point t, but there's a reason they put it where they did. The alternative would be Eahora Juliet.

      I decided to get the H9 and I'm going to be putting it through its paces. I'm going to ride it from the East Peoria, IL riverfront, up out of the river valley and out to Eureka, IL, then take the backroads through Goodfield, IL, and down Broadway Rd. to Pekin, IL. Climbing up out of the river valley should really test the battery's endurance, as the route I'm taking for the climb is about a 2-mile long, 10% grade. I weigh 340 (And losing), so this bike is really going to have to work HARD. Because I'm using it for a bit of exercise, I'll be running in pedal assist 2 (or 1), rear motor only, unless AWD becomes necessary.

    I want to buy this bike so bad but also scared of theft. What's the point of spending $1700-1800 plus $400-500 for good locks and getting stolen within a week. This bike can't be insured since it's dual motors that's way exceed 750w which is the limit for all insurance companies. If I could find an insurance company that's willing to insure a 1000+w ebike I'll definitely get this bike.

      I bought this exact Ebike Wallke H9 60AH. and insured my bike thru "Sundays" bike insurance company, i was skeptical about the hoops and loops of what they cover, I requested a written statement that they will cover my Ebike and they emailed me that they will, so far so good, even though i have an insurance i am still hoping that it wont get stolen.. I am paying $12/month for the e bike insurance btw.

    This is a cool bike, good pricing too. In my opinion, the Grizzly is still king 👑

    • @santoslorenz
      @santoslorenz 14 днів тому

      Grizzly is not a king when you have to pedal after 30miles. Wallke will keep on going more than 60 miles in dual motor

    • @deklinstanelle9345
      @deklinstanelle9345 14 днів тому

      @santoslorenz eh, to each their own. Grizzly has 35ah, this has 60ah. Almost double so it better have more range.
      It's also almost 140lbs while the grizzly is about 110lbs. Grizzly also has a range of 42mi of non-stop full throttle. The 100mi range is always an exaggeration, if you do the math, it's probably closer to 60mi of non stop full throttle. That's more than most need for a bicycle, and most people charge after they ride. I've yet to have my grizzly "die" on me after hours of riding

    • @deklinstanelle9345
      @deklinstanelle9345 14 днів тому

      @santoslorenz so you're pretty much trading 20 extra miles of range for an extra 30lbs. Not worth it in my opinion, but everyone has their own needs. If I need to go anywhere further than 30mi, I take my car 😂

    PLEASE HELP: So I bought this Ebike after going through an EXHAUSTIVE amount of research including this video. It was my first Ebike purchase and here’s my issue: WHY IS THERE A PEDAL SYSTEM AT ALL? This does not seem to be a “pedal assist” bike - so why the pedals??? You’re either on throttle only with zero pedal resistance, or on zero power trying to pedal a 100lb+ bike. Is anyone experiencing something different? There’s no exercise with the H9 - just fantastic power and range but no exercise option???

    • @TankTheSpank
      @TankTheSpank Місяць тому

      I am confused on what you are trying to say. If you wanted exercise option only then don't turn it on...

    • @maestroalhadeff
      @maestroalhadeff Місяць тому +1

      @@TankTheSpank if I wanted the exercise only option, I wouldn’t be riding an electric bike lol… I bought an electric bike so that I could have a pedal assist. The H9 is pretty much a Mo-Ped out of the box. You’re either pedaling a 100lb bike with no power, or there is zero pedal tension and you’ve got tremendous throttle power. Anyway, I’ve gotten a lot of advice on how to go inside internally and change the settings so I hope that makes a difference.

      @@maestroalhadeff, I'm looking at this bike.. did changing the settings help?

    • @santoslorenz
      @santoslorenz 14 днів тому +1

      At first I didn't understand your question, and now i got the Bike i get what you mean. The assist levels are highly adjustable.. Level 0 is 0% power Level 1 by default is set to 50% and Level 2 is set to 70% level 3 is 80% level 4 is 90% and level 5 is 98%. I changed my Level 1 to 45% and level 2 to 65% Level 3 to 75% level 4 85% and level 5 to 100%.I get my exercise on level 2 which has a max speed of 18mph. You can play with the settings and set what works for you better. Keep in mind that because of the stock crankset and casset, you will "ghost pedal" around 17-18mph. by getting an aftermarket crankset with higher tooth#'s will definitely give you a little more resistance in high speed for exercise.
