As a designer, photographer, and future architect - this is why I went with Syrp for My motion control needs. Precision is necessary for both, Timelapse photography and architectural design. This is totally evident here. I’m such a huge fan of this brand, and happy to be the owner of Syrp’s latest Genie II Linear and Genie Mini II. Thank you for inspiring me to push my creative boundaries in BOTH, photography and architectural design. Can’t wait to keep up with everything you all are creating - products and content!
„How to build your own Photo Video Studio on a large budget in a big space if you are a carpenter.“ I need to know how to do this in my kitchen for 25$.
I’m looking at building a couple of these. 3 wall each. One white and one green. This video is amazing and just what I needed. I clearly have my work cut out. I feel like you guys did half the work for me. Great video
What a brilliant video! As I'm turning my garage into a studio, I downloaded the plans you provided. Will definitely give it a go. Thanks a lot from the other side of the globe!
This is really cool guys. Thanks for making content like this. High quality, entertaining, and very useful. Definitely referencing this guide in the near future (fingers crossed).
Wow watched the video till the end thinking you guys have like 500k subscribes but then I was surprised to see you only have 37k! Definitely deserve more tho, so I subscribed! Keep up the great Content! 👍🏼
Hats off, I know first hand the amount work that goes into this kind of thing so well done and good luck with the studio guys. We built something similar a long time back for a studio and used fibreglass over a exercise ball for the connecting bottom corner, worked a treat with a bit of car body filler and a orbital sander. Used the same radius for the cove. 👍👌👏
So awesome! Always inspirational to see builds like this because I've wanted one ever since we got serious about photography. Definitely going in the next house 👊 Too bad about sacrificing the skateboarding aspect of it. Even though I didn't stick with it long enough as a kid to be good at it, I would definitely try again if/when we have a cyc 🤙
Hey Morten! Since building the studio, we've done a sound treatment by making some large acoustic panels that remove almost any echo - we may have to do a video on this too!
Thanks guys, class stuff. Is it difficult to keep the painted floor clean during model shoots and, if so, how do you clean it after? I shoot on paper or sometimes Perspex, both of which get dirty easily. I’m hoping this approach is easier to keep clean?
Sorry we didn't get back to you David! We usually do a repaint before big shoots as unfortunately the surface always gets a bit scuffed up and dirty - this is pretty common for commercial studios.
Whao, l love this. I'm always moved with creative mind like you. I'm also good in creative work, but lack of tools / gear's. Can I join your team for more training and also work with you? Thanks for consider me.
Hey Tarik! We tend to repaint our Cyc every 4-6 months but most pro studios will do this fam more regularly as stands, shoes and gear will scuff up the floor surface pretty quickly
Hey Karl! The finished studio from wall to wall is 5.5m x 10m (18ft x 32.8ft) but obviously you lose about 0.5m around the perimeter due to the curve. Glad you enjoyed the video
Yes - the shape and hard surfaces definitely caused some initial issues but we've done a sound treatment by making some large acoustic panels from sound insulation. When placed correctly, these remove almost all echo
The echo is a huge problem with cycs! We ended up making ten 1.2 x 2.4m acoustic absorbers which removed the echo completely. You can see some attached to the roof at 6:12.

@@jensschmidt You just need to substitute the wood with cardboard and cardboard derivatives.

Lovely work guys and good idea to sack off the skate boarding, much better with the extra space!

Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you for showing this build 🙌🏼
Great video. I am building my cyc wall straight from your plans. How tall is your wall? I’m thinking about making mines 16’ tall.
Holy crap!! My jaw dropped when I saw Bunnings, I thought, 'hmm, must be in OZ... nek minit.. Auckland!! Good to see local videos!

Tough job.
Love a Bunnings run. Can I ask what did you use to create your animation?
heyo! All the 3D animations were done in Blender
Awesome work 👍
INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!
Fascinating! I don’t know when I’ll be building a cyc but I’ll surely download the guide just in case 😂
Very good
Impressive, thank you very much for sharing ! And good luck with your new enterprise.
Where did you get the plans for your cyclorama. How did you determine the size and measurements for the curved edges ? Looks great
Ridiculously cool to stumble across an awesome channel and then discover it's run by some fellow kiwi's!!! Great stuff:)
Wow just wow
Good work men!
I need to build a portable set flat like this for my extra bedroom I’m using cork board tho or whatever weighs less lol
I watch this everytime I need motivation. Such a great studio-building video!
Okay

So beautiful!
Amazing
Cheers JBL!
AMAZING. Going to use this next month for our studio. Thank you! 🖤
Great! Of course, be sure to do your own measurements and treat the plans as a guide :) every studio space is unique
Great project.
A little more ambitious that I'm looking for but I enjoyed the build. (:
What wonderful work ! Would it be possible to purchase your plan?
Turned out really good! Getting the curves right seems like a lot of work. Did you do anything for sound quality, or is this only for product shots?
Hey Morten! Since building the studio, we've done a sound treatment by making some large acoustic panels that remove almost any echo - we may have to do a video on this too!
That’s awesome!

Looks so good! How high are the ceilings in that room?
Glad you think so Jacob! They're roughly 4m high in the basement space
@@SyrpLab Thank you!
Mannn soooo cool. I love your filming style, gents! Something to aspire to. 👍🏼👍🏼
Whao, l love this. I'm always moved with creative mind like you. I'm also good in creative work, but lack of tools / gear's. Can I join your team for more training and also work with you? Thanks for consider me.
Really want this kind of setup.
Love this. What are the room dimensions?
Amazing broooo!
Very cool. Well done!
Thanks Cinamaker!
Super great guys! Cheers from Venezuela 🤓👍🏻
amazing!
Great video.
amazing job!
Great work 😍👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks a lot 😊
Nice work! What is the design software you use?
Hey! We designed the studio parts using Solidworks & did the previsualizations in Blender
Beautifully done!
I love you guys!
AYEEE THAT"S CHASE V/S EVERYTHING!
Ayeeeee it is :)
Thanks great project. Do you have any idea on the radius of vertical corner? Thanks
Hey Henry! We used a Radius of 410mm - download the plans from the link in the description for full measurements
Woooow its amazing!!!!
You'd have to have a huge house or an office space like them to make this. Other option: Get a 3-wall muslin track system.
I love this , thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the pdf plan
Great tutorial. Can you tell us how easy is to maintain white color? Do you just repaint with super white matt color?
Hey Tarik! We tend to repaint our Cyc every 4-6 months but most pro studios will do this fam more regularly as stands, shoes and gear will scuff up the floor surface pretty quickly
@@SyrpLab Thank you, I will probably build one just like yours. It is amazing.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing this! Really cool to see the process. I'd be interested to know the square footage of the space you used?
Hey Karl! The finished studio from wall to wall is 5.5m x 10m (18ft x 32.8ft) but obviously you lose about 0.5m around the perimeter due to the curve. Glad you enjoyed the video
Gonna try this! Just wondering if you found all the wood to be quite echo-y, and if you've found a solution?
Yes - the shape and hard surfaces definitely caused some initial issues but we've done a sound treatment by making some large acoustic panels from sound insulation. When placed correctly, these remove almost all echo
The echo is a huge problem with cycs! We ended up making ten 1.2 x 2.4m acoustic absorbers which removed the echo completely. You can see some attached to the roof at 6:12.
@@SyrpLab great! thanks for the feedback
