Regarding the quad blade, it is pretty cool, but I have the U.S. unit with only the single set of blades and can't imagine it doing a better job with another pair. Maybe it does, but, like I said, I just can't imagine it. I am super impressed with the innovative design--from the hole in the plug for easy removal to the accessory caddy, they really did come up with solutions to problems that I didn't realize existed until I got this food processor.
The Quad Blade attachment is unique to the unit sold in Australia. As the unit there has the capacity to utilize 220 volts of electricity, it has the power behind it to stably operate the Quad Blade attachment. Unfortunately in the US our unit is limited to 110 - 120 volts making it not as easily stabilized in our unit. Since that was the case, in the US unit, the Quad blade has been replaced with the dual S Blade which works similarly and is much more stable. THIS IS WHAT BREVILLE SAID.
We got the mother of all food processors a couple of days ago, the Breville Wizz Pro. Cranberry coloured. I think I’m pretty close to having Objectophilia. :)
I purchased the Breville Sous Chef 12-cup model # BFP660SIL and I can't seem to get the 'spindle' to stay fastened to either the doe blade or the s-blade. They both stay loose and don't seem to screw tight to the spindle ... Help please :/
@jalvaji409- The US model does not have the amperage to support the quad blade, the AUS model is 240V so it can support it. The S-blade you received is actually a better design, from a mechanical perspective as it does not unsteady the machine.
My Answer to my Question...is best summed up to...I would have to live in Australia...or Breville would have to Improve their Model...and include the Quad Blade for 110-120 Volts.. I just learned this on the Internet.. To allow such a current to be carried safely to the appliance without catching on fire would require extremely thick wiring to be used from the main breaker panel to the appliance. High-powered appliances:clothes dryers, kitchen ranges, are manufactured to operate at 240 Volts.
Is there ny chance...of getting somehow this 220 Volts from the Wall Plug...with a little modification from an electician?...and then purchasing this unit directly from Australia with the Qual Blade? I really am a little sad that it does not offer it.. My mother has a mini..Processor with a Quad Blade and it chops AWESOME!!...it is not a Breville.. Does anyone know also...are there any Processors with Quad blade..?
I am thinking...the only other way...to get the Quad Blade to work...is to purchase the Unit Directly from Australia...and Use my Breville Applianceat 220 Volts from the Dishwasher outlet at 220 Volts.. I do believe it can be DONE!!.. So now thinking..and a little research if I can get this Model from Ausralia...sent to the USA.. then I will have a Breville with the Quad Blade...at 220 Volts...and Work just as fine.. Just need an adapter so the fit is perfect.. I hope this Company has an adaptor

My Kitchen Wizz Pro is a lot louder. Did you mute the mic? or did I buy a dud
Could be the power setting they are running, but the Wizz Pro is louder as it has an 800 watt more powerful motor.
@jalvaji409 I JUST PURCHASED THIS AND WAS EXTREMELY UPSET THAT ALL I SAW WAS A SINGLE BLADE
Breville support have confirmed that Quad blades are not available in N.America
