Just brought this, love it - only one complaint. I wish when you make this videos that you'd have a little disclaimer somewhere that the US/Canada models do not come with the dual quad S blade.
breville u did a very good job! FYI i'm 1 of your loyal customer i had the food processor, standing mixer, rice cooker, cord free kettle and toaster. those things are sitting in my kitchen and always do a very good job! now i tempted to buy this new food processor! so awesome! :D keep it up!
I agree with "cyn853". I'm also loyal customer of Breville. So far I have indoor BBQ die cast grill, smart oven(full size), smart grinder, elite juice fountain, citrus juicer,4 slice toaster, die cast blender and this "sous chef".They all are performing very well and all are premium quality appliances.
Breville about blade: The Quad Blade attachment is unique to the unit sold in Australia. As the unit there has the capacity to utilize 220 volts of electricity, it has the power behind it to stably operate the Quad Blade attachment. Unfortunately in the US our unit is limited to 110 - 120 volts making it not as easily stabilized in our unit. Since that was the case, in the US unit, the Quad blade has been replaced with the dual S Blade which works similarly and is much more stable.
I like the FP but it seems to overprocess when slicing. There is usually a bunch of torn up stuff in the FP after you slice something. This is also the case with with french fry disk. Some of the potato is shredded to a pulp. I have an unboxing video as well as a review and test on my channel if anyone is interested.
If you pre-cut your product into perfectly uniform "slabs" before processing, you'll have hardly any waste...other than what you trimmed off before processing. So you're really not losing much if you don't pre-trim. That said, I do always try to get at least one flat surface on whatever I'm slicing or julienning so it starts off true.
Not only does grating soft cheese no longer void the warranty, if you have the older model with the design that didn't work for soft cheeses Breville will send you the replacement parts you need to bring your unit up to speed. I was very happy to receive that box, and it didn't cost me anything but a couple of emails. Given the pizza dough ability, not being able to shred mozzarella was a bit of an oversight. I'm happy they have corrected this.
I JUST PURCHASED THIS FOOD PROCESSOR AND THERE IS JUST ONE PROBLEM. IT ONLY CAME WITH A SINGLE BLADE NOT A QUAD BLADE..GRRRR WHERE CAN I PURCHASE THE QUAD BLADE?? VERY UPSET SINCE THAT WAS ONE OF THE FEATURES THAT HELP ME MADE MY CHOICE.
Low voltage (120volts) appliances will always be underpowered. our commercial mixer operates at 480V. I actually had some 240V outlets installed in the kitchen during construction and purchase 240v appliances overseas.
@wvwwwvvwvv German built appliances are the best by far, but they charge a LOT for them. I would love a $2400 480V processor but that simply isn't feasible for me at this time.

This is why Breville is one of the top names in food appliances, they listen to customer feed back and respond quickly.

Grating cheese does not void the warranty anymore.

The Sous Chef Peel and Dice does an awesome job of dicing (not a fan of the peel feature, however).
