Education is definitely important. Sadly, many parents do not instill the idea in their kids, and education is FREE. Expanding their vocabulary and diction when speaking and writing makes a huge difference. Also, being able to analyze a variety of situations and conversations and knowing how to make inferences are important tasks. I fight with our young people five days a week, trying to get them to stop talking and playing - so they can pay attention and learn. ELA is no joke; it's necessary beyond the classroom and is necessary in the real world.
