Dj Khaled talks about the greatest verse ever recorded in rap
Unless you were around during the time that Wayne branched off and started dropping mixtapes, you will never fully understand the fact that Wayne is undeniably the GOAT
my introduction to wayne was that hardball song with lil bow wow, lil sammie, lil zhane
I still remember when he was with the Hot Boys and wasn’t even cursing on records. When he dropped Dedication and came out with the dreads, he was virtually unrecognizable bc he got so good so fast and wasn’t in the background anymore
U smoking pif lol...I have at least 6 rappers above wayne

It’s rare when a man can pass on so much respect to another man like this. Most people only praise and talk highly of those that have passed away! We need more of this! Praise and speak highly of those that are with us still not when they die
Agree, not enough positivity In this world these days
Life is full of that. Just not hip hop when everything is ego and checking each other for undue "respect", then murdering each other over pathetic beef.

I am legit grateful for being in my teens during Weezy’s uprise and literally living my life to his music during his entire peak. Literally the greatest music ever came from him and kids these days will simply never understand how Weezy’s music was in every speaker you were around, for YEARS. It wasnt just a dope song you heard everywhere, this man embedded himself into the core of peoples lives on a daily basis because his lyrics, flow, and style just blew the hell out of your mind. It was impossible to not fall into his tracks. Literally the greatest memories of my life have lil wayne playing in the background, certain songs bring back feelings I had from moments of my life and thank god for him because I can always revisit those feelings and moments thanks to Weezy. People today just do not understand the impact.
You’re not wrong but shit go get some kneepads
Big facts the only nigga I knew who would remix other niggas songs and make them better if Wayne remixed your track 9/10 it's his track now bruh
The best peak ever
And that’s when u Don’t have God in your life nor know the truth you’d say stuff like this
I don’t blame ya. The music added nothing to your life but u think it did
Music wasn’t there in real moments in your life, they say what’s when the music stops
Yea i know you’re gonna tell me I listened to it when I was sad, I’ll tell u, u ain’t seen real sadness and depression, it’s all in your head you associate some good times with the music, and u start thinking it’s the gospel truth but it’s but a 2/3 mins song that truly has no real impact on your life. Yea u reminisce but that’s it IT AINT REAL, it’s entertainment doesn’t last in the real world. Therefore it’s weak, unreal, not as beneficial or impactful as u think, it has a temporary placebo effect perhaps
Truly and extremely correct … weezy is timeless

Many factors are considered when looking at who might be the G.O.A.T., such as lyricism, influence, upbringing, production, cooperation with other artists and labels, etc. Lil' Wayne fulfilled many of these factors throughout his career. Lil' Wayne has had an enormous impact on rap, he's created incredible songs with powerful lyrics, and he's had his foot in several diverse areas of music. Looking at his career from 1998-2007, which consisted of pieces such as Carter I, II, III, Da Drought 2, 3, No Ceilings, I truly believe Lil' Wayne had the game in his hands for nearly a decade. Many modern rappers today wanted to be just like Lil' Wayne at some point of their lives.
There is no surprise that you see elements of Lil' Wayne in the works of Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, etc. He brought up Young Money and OVO, as well as today's most successful rappers like Drake. He shaped the game to what it is today, and there is no denying that he should be considered one of the best rappers of all time.
