Amazing Real Life Superhero Rescues Kids From House Fire

- A good Samaritan acted like a real life superhero, saving a toddler and little girl from a burning house. Bodycam footage showed the police officer in Mesa, Arizona, throwing rocks to break open the window of a burning house. The children inside could be heard screaming as the officer tried to figure out how to get to them. Just then, a man appeared out of nowhere. Like Spider-Man, the man hopped a fence, stood on an air condition unit and ripped out the window frame with his bare hands.
Extremely brave man. No matter what he said, he should still be awarded for such behavior.
Heroes need to stop hiding and come forward cause we love them
He doesn’t want attention. We shall respect his decision and privacy.

I'm being honest.. decades ago I had a buddy who rescued a lady in similar situation. Her mobile home was on fire and he went in and pulled her out while it was ENGULFED in flames. Once he had her a ways away and made sure she was coherent.. he booked asap.. cause he knew he had a warrant for a failure to appear lolol
Mini Me... NO not at all. We all owe it to him to respect his decision. The Police violted his rights by showing the cam coverage if he did not specifically allow it.
This made me tear up. Sometimes, I really need to be reminded that people like him still exist. I hope life treats him well.

The word "hero" gets thrown around a lot these days, but that guy absolutely deserves it. I am a retired Firefighter with over 20 years of service, and that's probably the best save I've ever seen. For a civilian to step up and go in like that without any PPE or SCBA takes extreme courage. I guarantee you the aircin that apartment was un breathable, the heat was extreme and the visibility near zero. That guy has my complete respect. Thank God, two young lives were saved that day.
Right! I don't think non-fire fighters understand just how rare and hard a rescue is inside of a fire. It's pretty rare, it doesn't happen too often. And this guy rescues three people! With no SCBA or PPE! Consecutively! On the second floor!
Most people do not know that in a fire you most probably die of toxication from the smoke! If you get really close to the heat, your alveoli burn so you body can not take out the oxygen from air. That is a death scentence that can never restore. And where is fire, ... the is no oxigen to breath! The fire uses all the oxigen!

You didn’t think that maybe the cop that was there didn’t have the same body conditions as the other guy? Plus cops carry a lot of gear. Let’s not be so easy to judge he was still there trying to help.
@@luisaluna900 Even if he wasn't as physically able as the hero who stepped in, it doesn't change what I said or what happened. It's not a judgement so much as an observation of facts, as well as my opinion of what makes a true hero.
If I were judging, I would have said something like the officer only feigned trying to get into the house by very ineffectively throwing rocks, instead of using his baton to break the glass, in order to hide his overwhelming, yet very natural impulse of self-preservation and fear of actually going inside a burning house to find the kids. That would have been an assumptive statement, because he could have simply been scared and panicked, or just slow to assess the best method to effectively break the glass in the moment (if we're assuming he was incapable of climbing as you implied). While it's rare to see an officer having trouble breaking mere house grade glass, I refrained from including any such conjecture.
So again, not judgment, just keeping to the facts of the situation that transpired.

I couldn't imagine having doubt in a situation like that. I've also never had to pull myself into a burning building though. I like to think I would. Humanity is strange though. It can drive you to protect other or preserve itself. Honestly it's fascinating.

It feels good to see that real superheroes exist!! It was terrifying hearing those kids screaming. He’s an amazing man!!
No phone in hand recording the situation, just runs up without hesitation, quickly saves the lives of two young children, this man is a true hero yet he doesn't want any recognition. That's a real man. .

To be fair the police officer is being weighed down by his vest (weighs like 30 pounds) and he was trying to see if he could get a ladder or something to climb up there to get the kids but I do doubt he’d actually climb into that building to get those kids like that man (but he shouldn’t have to just like that man shouldn’t have had to that was definitely something that the firemen should’ve done).
