These teens survived dramatic rescues. In 2022, Maryland officers saved a teen who jumped into a frozen creek trying to save their friend. In 2016, a 17-year-old girl was rescued by the United State Coast Guard after getting separated from her family during a kayaking trip. I was white water rafting, got thrown in the water and was drowning. The water was throwing me around and pulling me down river when suddenly something hit my face. It was a rope. Standing on shore was a group of EMTs practicing white water rescue. I heard them yelling "real victim" and two of them grabbed me and pulled me out of the rushing water. I had water in my lungs that dissipated a couple days later. Those EMTs saved my life.

Kennedy, the last girl, her story will never not shock me. It's still so crazy how she got flung up there and was hanging upside down for hours basically by the skin (I think it was) of her broken leg. Absolutely wild

That must be devastating for them , hypertension is a horrible feeling, i so delighted that they were being rescued, i hope that they had learnt from this horrible incident. Never to run on frozen ice, it's safe, ice can be broken.

I remember the first time I ever had to yell for someone to call 911. It was back when I played soccer. Our goalie had gotten kicked in tbe throat (idk for sure but I feel like she either got kicked in the head/throat area). I forgot the specific reason why we were yelling for 911 but it was scary.
