Not only do the UA-cam and Netflix buttons work as a shortcut, in fact all the buttons do. Do you know the step you did at minute 7:08? I did not press the UA-cam button, by the way. Rather, I used the button next to the device's shutdown button on the right, which looks like an arrow inside a box. I exited as you told me, and now I use that button as a mouse without sacrificing the shortcut to Netflix or UA-cam. And i am from Saudi Arabia.

Click not working for me either, not on the home screen or in any app. Using Chromecast TV.
You need to do debugging step. I have the same problem and after i enable usb debugging in developer mode and allow debugging i can click normally.
And you need to download the same apk of the app you can read at min 3:30 below setup permission
