In KOTH I do snipe 2K & up, and I have noticed that the M320 is by far the most accurate. If one decides to snipe a bit closer (1.6K & down) I would recommend, as Luke9K did, the GM6 Lynx with the 12.7mm APDS rounds. The reason I say this is: #1 The APDS rounds lose their ability to penetrate tower walls beyond 1.5-1.6K #2 Through experience, not testing, I have noticed the GM6 Lynx to become inaccurate beyond 1.8K #3 The GM6 Lynx is an anti material rifle not a marksman's rifle. This means it should technically be used against armoured targets, I.E. Vehicles. Then again, if you snipe to have fun I would recommend the GM6 Lynx with 12.7mm APDS rounds because when the round hits a target the blood splatter or red mist is huge and oddly satisfying. As Luke9K said, "Everyone has their own opinions." This is my own in reference to long range sniping. I hope it is useful. -Atomic Cheddar (RIP)
The only reason for chosing sub-caliber weapons is to reduce ricochet and over penetration and increased mobility when mounting/dismounting. You're comparing a dagger to a sword.
but its not really effective in this game because majority of your gunplay is mid-long range combat even a 556 took half a mag to kill a target in 200-250 meters
You can use SPMG as single fire by giving it a normal click; it will shoot only 1 bullet. Unlike Navid/Zafir/Mk-200 where 1 click sometimes shoots 2-3 bullets because of the higher rate of fire. Also, SPMG is as accurate / more accurate and / or has more range than some 7.62 DMRs and more punch because of bigger round. I use it as marksman rifle. Plus 130 rounds do not hurt. (Maybe enemy player but not me :-)
Indeed, I used to do the single shot with the Navid, I've not used the SPMG as much at all. I saw a friend get a kill at 1.2K using one in Exile and I've heard of people getting kills further than that. Very nice weapon, I prefer the Navid my self though, as it's a little better against vehicles.

Hey dude. Yea, I did the same but with the 30 round version so I could use the explosives perk and have a grenade launcher. 100 round mag version is also a very good choice though, it was difficult to decide between the two.
@@martinkrol2840 Indeed. The AK-12 is much better for accuracy, I just like to spray and prey with the Zafir and make use of the 150 round magazine. :D
Hey dude. The Type 115 is a good multipurpose gun, the Underbarrel .50 is best for the longer range shots. It's not as accurate as some other similar weapons and the underbarrel .50 can't hit anything further than about 1K I believe. I personally find it much easier to hit anything further than 200 meters with a SPAR-17 than a Type 115, but you can still get kills at 500 meters+ with Type 115 for sure. It's great in King of the Hill where most engagements are closer with only the occasional longer range target, but if I knew I would be only shooting targets further than 200 meters then I would use a DMR type weapon. SPAR-17 or Mk1 EMR, something like that.
Saying that you shouldn't use smgs because they have a low caliber shows a complete misunderstanding of how this works. SMGs shouldn't be used because they use pistol ammo, not rifle ammo and thus have less gunpowder in them also alongside the desync. Pistol ammo usually has a much HIGHER caliber than rifle because the reduced gunpowder provides space for higher calibers without generating too much kickback. Mosts pistols are 9mm(.355-.363) but as you can see most rifles fire 5.56mm(.22)-7.62mm(.308) bullets. Also, I don't have experience with it but due to the fact that AK rifles use reduced power 7.62 rounds, they are a lot interior to NATO 7.62 rounds and are not very accurate at range, this was done so that they could fit 30 of them in a mag so if you see a 30 round 7.62 magazine, it means that they are "flying brick" 7.62 and not marksman 7.62. This means they are excellent in CQC but aren't very good at range but this video is pretty old so I guess the info here isn't very accurate. Also unrelated but that loadout you have is fugly as fuck, it has got to be the ugliest Arma Soldier I have ever seen lol
You don’t seem to differentiate between caliber dimensions which I believe is important. The AK-12/AKM and SPAR-17 shouldn’t be classified under the same general category of “7.62” since 7.62x51 has much flatter trajectory, better penetration, and a faster bullet speed then the 7.62x39. But, 7.62x51 is heavier to carry around, and the 7.62x51 rifles have heavier recoil, harder to use in CQB due to length. I think things like that are important to mention instead of stacking them up in a “7.62” category.
I know this video is old, but I just hope you would answer beside that fact. You said the AK12 is the overall gun to go. But what do you think about the RPK? I mean it has more range, more damage (because the barrel is longer) and i think also a higher rate of fire.
Hey dude. It does indeed and that is part of what makes the gun so good in koth. Not only is the .50 very useful, but it means you have more ammo than you would otherwise have. :)
@@Luke9K After the Beowolf nerf I would like to have a 20mm grenade launcher instead the .50, Would be sick. Some kind of HE bullet, or just a little grenade like the MK32 rounds.
Hey dude. I've not used it much and I don't see many people using it, but when it first came out I did get killed by it a few times. It's really good at very close range for sure with thew SG.
Hey dude. I'm pretty sure that it will be the same in koth as it is in this video. It will go through, it may not always be a one hit kill when hitting someone through a tower though, especially over 100 meters. The M320 Sniper rifle will shoot through the towers as well, but you have to be 300 meters or closer.

its very nice if you are pinned down and need "cover" or if you want to use it as a diversion, mark where the enemy/friendlies are. Or you can also use the IR grenades. will help out the CAS to know where he is gonna open fire also. =)
@@martinkrol2840 Yep, that's what I do now. You can spam the mouse button and get single fire to shoot with a higher rate of fire than full auto anyway. Haha.
Good point about the low cost. Yes, it's always worth using the suppressor perk, unless you can't due to needing other perks or you don't have a weapon that can be suppressed. Some of the perks are so useful, that's why I recommend unlocking all 3 perk slots as soon as you can.
I've had more fun using the SPAR-16s with a suppressor and an ERCO than any other gun. @Luke9K Oh I didn't know that in the 6.5mm arena Type 115 is particularly low with recoil, very good to know. I have been limping along with MX SW. Isn't Type 115 the one with two gun in one? You need ammo perk to even get slugs which are the only shotgun load worth using. RPK is AK12 but better (100 more RPM, less recoil, more velocity...) except you need the machine gunner perk. Has the worst ammo economy for an LMG, but if you were gonna take MGNR for AK12 with drum mags the RPK is just better at being a fat assault rifle. AKU is a carbine AK12. I know what you mean, I really think that the SPMG and the Navid should not be allowed suppressors in koth to balance them a little. However, if I see lots of people driving around in Striders/Ifrits getting road kills, then that's when I will still dust off the old Navid.
No suppressors is an excellent idea, I did not thing of that. For a very realistic game such as Arma I would also expect the mechanics to be more accurate. Anyone who ever picked up a weapon like Navid or even a Zaphir knows that there is no way in hell that you can run with it and instantly start shooting like with an AR. It is just damn heavy.
Yea, they are damn loud without suppressors and you would be able to hear where the person using it is quite easily in a koth A.O. Balancing heavy guns is a hard thing to do in computer games, in real life you would not be able to turn on the spot as fast, but you can't do that in game as people would just speed their mouse up by making it more sensitive. But yer, as you say, you should not be able to aim down sight as quickly as with other guns and I also think that you should only be able to keep the gun raised for a short amount of time.
are there any good bullpups? and how are the represented in the game, are they better then most games make them out to be or are they shit in this one to?
There is at least one good bullpup, the Type 115. I've used it a lot more now since I made this video and it's become one of my favorite weapons in Arma. It has a high rate of fire and is quite controllable in full auto for it's caliber. The under barrel .50 really makes it though, very useful and in koth it means you have many more shots from one gun before running out of ammo.
The dlc usually goes on sale. I’ve heard someone say they usually go on sale around Christmas time and May, which apparently is their anniversary month.
Hey dude. I have used that gun, but not much. 6.5mm caliber seems a bit low for a single shot only gun, but for sure it's accurate with that low recoil. I mostly play King of the Hill and I'm guessing that it could be more useful in other game modes as is the case with some other guns too.
Hey dude. Yeah, I've been using the ASP a little more recently and I've hit targets at 500 meters using a DMS sight while practicing in the editor, but not hit anything further than about 200 metes in game yet. If your target is close to the nearest 100 meters then it's easier to hit, the difficulty comes when your target is a bit off the nearest 100 meters. If it's like 240 meters, then adjusting for the extra 40 meters is much harder than it is with other guns. Still, it's a great gun and a lot of fun to use. It's probably the most stealthy gun in the game too. I would still recommend other guns for longer ranges though. :)
Sure you can. You just have to cut your self off from family and friends and do as little work/studying as possible in order to spend over 2500 hours playing the game. :)

@@Luke9K what about the p90, how does that fair?
@@V7I-theseventhsector The P90 is not so good in koth, but I could see it being useful in close range only game modes.
whats your recommendation on PVE btw
Hey dude. I'm not sure what you mean by PVE. Player vs Environment, where you're only shooting AI?
@@Luke9K the last one
Nice
Thanks dude. :)
the mk1 is better because it has a greater damage output and has a higher firerate
Can i buy apex but not pay full price becuse i have already arma 3?
The dlc usually goes on sale. I’ve heard someone say they usually go on sale around Christmas time and May, which apparently is their anniversary month.
CMR-76 gang?
Hey dude. I have used that gun, but not much. 6.5mm caliber seems a bit low for a single shot only gun, but for sure it's accurate with that low recoil. I mostly play King of the Hill and I'm guessing that it could be more useful in other game modes as is the case with some other guns too.
I like that :)
Thank you, Sir. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
@@Luke9K im from germany and im happy you're still making videos, found you 2 weeks ago :)
Nice. :) Thx dude.
I have 500m+ ASP-KIR kills. Ask me to prove it. Go on, ask me.
So don't say the stumpy wallbanger can't kill at long range, that's racist.
Noises but still, the bullet travel time is slow as fuck, so you had luck
@@derdaki3228 Yeah, it takes so long to get to the target, the bullet speed makes it even harder to use for sure.
man i cant be better than you
Sure you can. You just have to cut your self off from family and friends and do as little work/studying as possible in order to spend over 2500 hours playing the game. :)
