In this video I visit some GMC dealers to see if the 2024 Hummer EV lease specials are real or fake or just more dealer and manufacturer games.

That salesman is the real deal @ 11:36-11:38. Straight up, and no BS. I like it!
@@markmansel9899 I agree. I couldn’t help but to like that dude. 👍
You should roll into dealers in an old car. Doubt you'd get the reception you do when they see an exotic. They know money just rolled in so they are on their best behavior.
@@aaronfarnsworth7653 ya. I’ll take my old Crown Vic next weekend. Should be interesting. lol
A big, overweight and overpriced EV. Well, the silver lining here is that anyone planning to buy the new Charger EV can take the Hummer for a test drive so they'll know exactly how the upcoming Charger will handle.
@@John_Caravella 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lmao 🤣
The truck has a cool look. Too bad they didnt do a hybrid V8 or a diesel
Right!? Could you imagine if they put a big v8 or diesel in it. They’d sell the heck out of them.
I wanna crawl like a crab tho
@@ocmotivator Be like the return of the H1 Alpha if they put a Duramax in it.
If they put the LT2 vette engine will be the best vehicle GM ever made. GM can make a Picasso but purposely ruined it by letting a cocker spaniel drop a couple of turds that’s the ev engine for you
Here in massachusetts 110k 2024 hummer EV .
NO Money down and GMC making first payment . 36-month lease 12k miles per year. $1057 a month. Fact
Wow! Which dealer?
So 7k down and 1k a month for 800 miles a month available miles ? 😅😂
@@jeffnoob8448 All signs point to NO. 800 miles per month means its always going to be parked!
@@llcross04 agreed
My wife and I test drove a GMC Sierra diesel with offroad package. I truly, truly liked it. I wanted it but it was way too expensive even with $4k down and 12k in incentives. Apr was 12> and yes, I was carrying some negative equity, but the trade in appraisal was absolutely horrendous. It was 5-6k under what I thought it would be, but dealer actual cash value is what it is. We decided to just not do it. $10k down would’ve made things closer to where we wanted to be but I just didn’t have it.
Hey @ocmotivator, this is my first time commenting but I’m a long time viewer. I have a Hummer EV SUV in the Orange Afterburner Tintcoat you like, I also have a Widebody Scatpack Challenger in F8 Green. I live in California and those ads frustrate me all the time. I definitely didn’t get a deal like that. I see some folks on facebook forums in other states getting pricing like those ads, but in CA those deals will never happen even with a base model which is still $100k+. Our taxes and fees kill all hopes of these types of deals. Keep up the great content.
I experienced the same exact thing from Toyota ads saying you could lease a 2024 Tacoma pickup for 489 dollars a month for 36 months 5000 down but when I went to two different dealerships they basically said it was a national ad and good luck finding anyone to honor it. Same scam emails for the Rav4 Hybrid. It's all bait and switch bullshit. I hope they're all suffering because dealerships and car sales people are sleaze bags in general. I've bought at least 8 brand new cars from dealerships and at least 10 used cars as well, so I know how it goes.
*batteries not included... 🤣🤣
The old dealer bump...damn the only thing better would have been the 4 square worksheet!
It's definitely doable. I've seen another dealer advertising between $1000 and $1100 on well-equipped 3X models with no money down and 6500 discount. I looked at the numbers and it assumes a residual of around 81K. I think that's optimistic given the depreciation of electric vehicles, but whatever.
I tried to buy it as well here in Austin Texas these dealers playing games as well .
I'd much sooner get the 392 Rubicon over a Hummer ICE or EV.
That’s not a steal shit
I liked the last salesman Brad. Definitely get the steering wheel option lol
@@rudykr3oc lol. Me too. Straight go to the point and no jerking around. 👍
It’s BS I went to a dealer with the exact car specs/pricing quoted on the national deal for $849 a month.
They told me it would be $1080 a month with 11,000 down and my $4,000 trade 💀
72 miles a day is way more than 10,000 miles a year. How is that even possible? Do they do that so they can get you on the mileage later?
The average would only be 27 miles per day
Thats almost 72... Just backwards lol
No crap from me on crab-walking, I was a munitions systems specialist in the Airforce and we used "tugs" with crab steering every day to haul trailers of munitions, push things around, etc.. I also spent a lot of personal time in the Utah deserts off roading.
Crab steering is really useful if uou actually *drive* the vehicle in extraordinary conditions and having a civilian truck that crabs is terrific, especially with larger trucks in tighter spots.
The most *fun* we had with them is when we came back to the shop to park at end of shift and we'd all head for a parking space, crank the wheel, hit the lever (independent rear steering) and throw them sideways into a parking space, at speed and see who could slide into their spot the straightest to the lines. 😂
If you're actually going off road and into tight spots, crab is useful but who's taking a $150k vehicle into the rocks and trees??
If your pulling a trailer of some sort and hit some tight spots then, *occasionally,* having "crabability" lets you maneuver and line up & hook-up or park a little easier, great... Other than that, it's just strictly a toy to show off when you park it at the club in front of "the boys." 😊
I doubt it's independent, from what I've seen I'd imagine you hit a switch and then either tighten your radius or side-slide it, both commensurately with the turn of the wheel. (Does it only slide or can you steer the opposite direction to tighten the turning radius? That's the most helpful). The "slide only" crabbing would be "better than nothing" but not optimal for true, four wheel steering.
Having a lever and manually controlling the direction and degree of crab is ideal to take advantage of the system *but,* it's confusing at first, takes two hands to operate and takes some time to master...
I could see it now, people sliding into other cars in Sam's Club parking lots all the time. 😆
As I say, it's a novel concept and useful, in theory but in a civilian configuration, it's mostly a toy to show off on the boat ramp, trying to line up your trailer.
There's *no way* im paying $150-200k for an electric Hummer. The one place you'd really need it is the one place you wouldn't go, way off road up in the mountains or out in the desert somewhere. Runout of charge because you're slow-crawling around and using extra juice everytime you crab walk and finding yourself stranded until the helicopters find you is *not* how I'd like to spend my vacation.
The dealers do that with every vehicle. Theres a national promo but no dealer ever has the specific spec. They make money on options
I would love to meet the person who actually got one for that price. LOL
Not putting 7k on any lease
Brad I can't agree with you on that lambos or better than Ferraris and in the words of ferruccio Lamborghini you drive a Ferrari when you think you're somebody but you own a Lamborghini when you know you're somebody
lol. Love it! The Ferrari guys always look down on us Lamborghini folk at the car meets while wearing their turtlenecks. lol.
I've been to both in Italy. Lamborghini were incredibly kind, classy, hard working, down to earth people. I had fun there. Ferrari, was as expected. Those same emotions are the soul of those cars.
I need to test this out. Lol
Great video. You should do more of these, looking at other brands.
This is why I bought a used 2022 Jeep Wrangler with only 2900 mile on it, 2 Dr 4 cly turbo for a every day driver in Arizona. Oh & still have my 2022 SP in my garage with 1500 miles. Go MOPAR or no car.
No reason to flex that junk not tryna b fucked up but we both kno..
I got 849 a month with 15k miles. 5k down plus 2k in equity from a Silverado lease. 2X pickup though, not the 3X
They cant give those things away. My local dealer has had one on the lot for like 8 months now. No one wants it
I leased my $105k Quad Motor Rivian for $703/month. It's great for daily. States 350 miles and I get 350. $5k for taxes
I have two friends in Cali one has the Rivian truck the other has the SUV. They both say the best they get combined driving is 270 miles. You must have got a special battery
@jimsteinway695 They bought Dual Standard which is the base model. I got a Quad Large last year which was there biggest battery. They have one now that gets 420 miles
What was the full down payment?
@llcross04 $0 down. $5k was taxes and fees. Delivery was $1000 which could be easily saved by picking the car up.
@jimsteinway695 or your friends have no ideal they come with bigger batteries
I drink beer from a can...I drive a lambo
Killed it bro
Saw a couple of strippo Hummers at santa monica gmc. Around 91k with ev credit
Man thinking about leasing one but definitely not wanting to put 10k down just to around $800 a month
They are $20K over sticker at GMC dealer I just left
I’m paying more than that for my ID.4 🤦♂️
Hey Brad cars that usually have that kind of vinyl wrapped around it are usually prototypes yeah I know it's that strange white and black vinyl
Ya. Not the case on that one though. 👍👍
The EV market has collapsed. Just saw a $160 Tesla plaid for $60,000
@@jimsteinway695 msrp on a plaid is $83K
My local dealer has one in a god-awful turquoise color for $929 but there are a dozen of the overpriced stickers on the lot and I havent seen a single one of them move.
100l for a hummer GM has lot their mind
But y’all keep advertising for them and buying them 🎉
Tempe Buick GMC in Arizona has one of the orange pickup super base models in stock.
"Well qualified" usually means 760 score (according to my finance manager friend). My credit union gives it's best rates at 720. The $849/$899 deals are for a base truck/SUV with zero options. Adding options increases the payment. Oh, and there are NO EV mandates making consumers buy EV's. The mandates require production of EV's, but you're free to not buy one.
Also, "well-qualified" often means employee discount for buyers who work for the manufacturer. They're really big on that here in the Detroit market.
NOPE, I still don't want it.😂
That hummer EV is just baller. I love it
Yep, a junkballer
Why do you say there is an EV mandate? I heard a few people mention the mandate is unconstitutional but from my understanding the EPA has a goal they want to reach by 2030 but I don’t see anything about a mandate.
Biden has mandates in place google em
178k wow gm is thrash
Nope. No car is worth $100k especially with Chevy dealerships having brand new rusty away vehicles at the dealership lot.
Can i get a hell no😂
Why is everyone complaining about the sound from Dodge when Hyundai Ioniq has sound to there ev "N" package? I digress!!
@@brutusballer24 because the dodge is supposedly a muscle car
The Ole rope-a-dope. "Deals " are for the one that doesn't exist.
Did you ever find out whether that vinyl car was a prototype that's what it looks like to me believe me when I tell you I've seen prototypes and I'm sure you have to great video
Thanks! And no, that car was an older car with chopped up vinyl on it for sure.
OC if you want a toy go buy a used TRX
Did the salesman know you were filming? If not he probably got fired as soon as you posted the video
For what? What did he say wrong? He was actually amazing and honest and if I were to buy one of these I’d definitely go back to him since he didn’t try to jerk me around and stuff me into a $1500 payment.
Why should be pay more for EV why they are so expensive
How is this better for america
I managed to do it. $1060/Month CAD taxes in, $10,000 down CAD, 20,000 KMS per year.
I'd get one. If you PAID ME $849 a month to take it.
Hummer is super badass. Best looking EV truck by a mile.
I think the 2nd dudes' numbers were off. $1200-1400 with 10K down is off. 10k down gets u down to approx the base price, which is based on the $850 a month. So how is ur payment $1200-$1400? I dont think $850 @ month is realistic but i think around $1K is possible. Which is what the 1st dealership alluded to.
@maximus4everjay119 Leases are based off residual and money factor
@bluedabear so ur saying I'm wrong ?
@maximus4everjay119 considering money factor is almost 10% and residual is 65%. Quick calculation would be about $1350+tax
@bluedabear accordingly to forums of some who have the vehicle, their residual was around 76%-82%, with some posting leases ranging from $1040 til $1140ish. 65% is ridiculous.
@maximus4everjay119 I got it from Edmunds which is actual data based on current terms. As of September 5th, .00225 MF and 66% residual
Take a Hummer camping? Then take a generator along with you and if you need to charge you're set. But burning gas in a generator pollutes a ton more than just burning it in an ICE vehicle so what's the point?
EVs are actually great for camping. Because you are usually offroading at a slower speed range is great. You use about 10% a day so if you travel 100 miles to campsite you'd have about a week.
@@bluedabearadding any camping gear and weight to an EV will kill range though.. You’re not pulling a camper very long with these things.
@@JFitness88 adding a few hundred lbs to a 10k lb car kills the battery?
electric offroads and trucks cannot and never will work 1) undertray shocks are expected and part of the normal life of such vehicles if yours is even slightly scratched it becomes an uninsurable fire hazard and you will have to replace the battery for 50-60% of the car price 2) batteries don't like shocks or being shaken also normal lifecycle of an offroad aside from that unless all you want is to rent a car that you will dump nobody should ever "buy" a car with 7000$ and 1200$ a months thats madness all the cars I bought I had at least 33% down when not 50% if you can't you're out of your league
@fredEVOIX lol tell that to Rivian. Their vehicles are amazing offroad and stand up to Jeeps with no problem. I have a skidplate front to back and height can be raised on the fly.
These dealership are out of their fucking minds
So the last Guy tells you what's actually going on, Stupid AD gets you in for a rip off of a lifetime 😅. Say NOoooOO to EV's
I don't want it even for free
Love the video, buddy
I call dealer games
Isnt this bait and switch??
Love being this early 🦦
That’s the same bait and switch that has been going on forever. Advertise the beer can version that doesn’t exist. Dumb
That ridiculous thing isn’t worth $300/month.
Total ripoff!!
dude the first hummer EV is still sitting at my local dealership because they were asking close to 200k for it now its down to 105k still wont sell LOLOL i even called him out for driving it at the parade saying he is a greedy fuck.
A chinese r
Ev disguised as a hummer. Gm fired their engineers
What sticker is on your car? Hopefully Trump 2024...

Yes
Charging is not free ev are joe Biden cars that’s what we call in car industry
@haveagoodday5148 you're right, not free. It is however $300 cheaper a month than my widebody scatpack
The King of EVs is the biggest right winger and Trumper out there. You guys are total clowns.

I went to Target, they have these huge RC trucks. 🛻 😀
They cost a lot less than the Hummer, it also is Electric, you can play with it, have your fun, and put it in the garage. Even the batteries are cheaper. 😃
I would love it if we went to alcohol for fuel.
