    Try TrimSmoothBorder brush (, -> Brush, -> Trim) + square alpha. For me, this became the main brush for modeling stones. As for the references, I looked a lot and came to the conclusion that it is impossible to draw a non-realistic stone, because the fold creates such miracles that if I had not seen the photo, I would not have believed that such stones could exist)

    • @3dextrude

      depends on the texture resolution and constraints of the game, personally I think if the rocks are similar they should share the same material.

    • @3dextrude

      Not sure what you mean, I made uvs for the decimated model and the normal map is baked in Substance by loading the high poly model in the bake settings

  • @syntaxcg
    @syntaxcg 4 роки тому

    for baking a high and a low poly, does it have to be uv's for high poly? cause I saw you didn't do any.

    • @3dextrude
      @3dextrude  4 роки тому +2

      The high poly doesn't need uvs, just the low poly model since you are transferring the details to the low poly

  • @maestroecarlate1888

    Once you've exported both the high and the low poly rock from SubPainter, which one do you import inside Maya for the retopology and the uv cuts ?

    • @3dextrude
      @3dextrude  4 роки тому

      If you need to retopo and uv, use the high poly model you made in zbrush, but decimated it first so it's not too high poly.
