Jonathan is the author of the book... "A Most Remarkable Creature: The Hidden Life and Epic Journey of the World's Smartest Birds of Prey"...an amazing book. So much talent.
I've been a fan of this band since 2001 and will never understand why they aren't bigger. See them live if you get the chance - this performance is great, but in a live setting, when you're actually in the room, their sound feels absolutely epic.
"It's easy just to be against something, but when you're also for it at the same time it's much more complicated." Well, that's a relatable attitude toward America if ever there was one.
Love his voice, first thing that drew me to the band after hearing "You as You Were". Really enjoying this set. I'm a little late to the party but will be catching up to the catalog this week.
Sadie put that bass together herself. She even went to Lindy Fralin (Fralin Pickups) and described what she wanted in terms of tone to get her custom pickups created.
If you anyone from you guys ends up reading this, when can we expect a gig @ Portugal? :) You guys have lots of fans here! Awesome performance, as always. Thanks KEXP, sound and video quality are spot on! ^_^
really a deeply underrated band. grateful to have gotten to see them live twice in London
Criminally underrated band.
This album in particular.... it has staying power. I love it more with every listen.

Just added that to my reading list... I'm very curious.

so happy to exist in this generation of music
That fretless bass is beautiful

What a great performance, by great musicians and amazing composers. Love this band!
So much love for this band!
♥️ From Portugal
They are so talented - I love The Snow Leopard. Glad I listened to this!
Love these songs, 2 Minutes to Late Night got me here.
The band is just wonderful and kudos to Carol for engaging with the content meaningfully
Beautiful set! And he does a great Bowie.
Awesome band and beautiful performance😊❤️🎶🎶🎶
What a cool dude! Great record and cover!
Shearwater makes simple the most awe inspiring music
I must see this band live and buy Jonathan’s book ❤️
Wonderful performance!
I have seen them live in Stockholm (25/06/2012) and it was a great experience!
It's not just KEXP lovers, but other folks , too. And, please...Tell Jonathan I say Hello!
The part starting around 18:38 during Backchannels reminds me a bit of Talk Talk's Laughing Stock. Also 19:21 is a wonderful shot.
Such gorgeous music JM! Play on Fair Oberon...
Emily got into the band by TWEETING at Jonathan and ASKING?! What the fuck? I wanna play in Shearwater.
blackfyre storm 🤷♀️ Shocked me too!
Presumably she also had the talent :P

Backchannels! 🥰
That drummer is one groovy mofo!
He’s lost in his own exuberant, terrific drumming. I’d say he’s a sexy mofo! 😜
@@goleson100 Funnily enough I just rewatched this again a few days ago. Still find it a joy to watch that guy play!
Bu grup bir harika dostum !
💕
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
So fab! Why isn't everybody grooving to the sound?
On Pale Kings it sounds allot like Richard Thompson on vocals :)
Lead singer sounds Scottish, which makes this band even cooler. Gotta see 'em soon.
You're not from the United Kingdom, are you? 😄
cheryl wore her bird shirt in honor, i see
+greenappleoh nice catch :)
Gotta cover Scott Walker, even have him invited on a record and have him produce
I hear that suicidal voice all the time. It haunts me daily. :...(
❤️❤️❤️
Blows the new Radiohead out of the water...
Anyone else here find these guys through Welcome to Nightvale?
Me. That show has introduced me to music I never would have heard otherwise.
U2 meets Springsteen
Daniel Radcliffe on guitar.. Patton Oswalt on drums
Donald Rodgers on UA-cam.
Haha!
if that voice is a "robocall" from the universe, is that not worth listening to?
Nah, I ignore robocalls on my phone, why would I pay attention to one that shows up in my brain saying awful things?
no me gusta. don't like
The Ever Wandering .thanks for your time. muchas gracias por tu tiempo.
The Ever Wandering relajate, para los gustos estan los colores. solo es una opinion.no te lo tomes personal.
