SFM does not need any love... Just wait for it either getting EFM or for the Heatblur version (although, I'm not too sure if they won't turn it into a complete and utter UFO upon launch as they did with the "Tomcat")
that flatspin launch is very interesting; seems to be intended to shrink the boundary of the launching fighter's WEZ by giving the missile a more advantageous heading at ignition
Amazing flying buddy absolutely amazing. I really enjoy watching you and Growling Sidewinder fly. I recommend you and GS in Hornets takeoff from the Boat on a SEAD mission with 2 groups of Bandits popping up randomly during the mission. Then you guys go back and land on the Boat.
Another great video LS. Thanks for the time and effort you put into these videos. I look forward to seeing new videos from you and GS. I've been subscribed for over 2 year and I've seen the growth of the channel both in the complexity of the videos and the amount of editing involved. You'll hit 100,000 in no time if you stay dedicated to delivering great videos 4 to 5 times a week. Every day would be great from my standpoint, but, I know you need a break now and then. Keep up the great work LS and we'll keep enjoying the fruits of your labor.
Wow. Tough fight. Somewhat surprised the typhoon is so maneuverable. I thought delta wings were fast but had more difficulty turning compared to conventional wing planes. Maybe those canard thingies up front help. Now subscribed.
Great video Longshot! You must never badmouth a tree again, in fact you should run out into the garden and hug a tree right now!!! (joking of course but Wow!)
That was a looong wait for a RATE fight. I'd like to see the whole WEZ fight like these few from the ground... like a spectator would. Is that possible, LongShot? Thanks
One of my favorite things about your commentary is you sound like you're actually in the plane. You grunt & strain just like youre experiencing the g-forces. It's really fun & funny.
My God round 2 you should have been dead so many time lmao that Typhoon pilot must have not had guns selected at least once when y’all were in that tight one circle
I think the eurofighter has better low speed nose authority outside the cobra nonsense. I think a rolling scissor would be the best place for a Eurofighter pilot against a Su.
@@LongShotChannel You mean you are not flying ASC Direct always on? What's the point of turning it off in a dogfight? You seem to know what you are doing with the Flanker, so I highly doubt you'd wreck it by being in direct control most of the time. Also, switching back and forth only wastes your time and focus.
no... many dont know that the eurofighter has the best thrust to weight ratio out of all fighters (in real life at least). it varies from 1.67-1.87 T/W@@justacomment1657
The current Eurofighter mod is trash, it loses in every match no matter if at GS or here. It was probably made by someone who hates that fighter. Hope the Truegrit one will be more realistic.
Your filmmaking skills are superb. Love the intensity of your fights and the incredible storytelling. Maneuver kill for sure, you owe your virtual life to that tree! Thanks for some great entertainment value, your work is incredible Longshot! LPT for you and Growling when landing the Viper. Take into account the small brake diameter on that jet, they are the size of automobile brakes, not exact but much closer than you might think. The key to landing it and having your crew chief happy, is to hit just after the numbers and hold the nose up to achieve dynamic braking. Watched GS do a landing a few days ago and your could hear the tires tearing themselves up under lateral load at too high a landing speed for the nose gear, it was dropped a good five seconds too early. Keep that nose up and think of how the Space Shuttle used to land. Even with a chute, and split speed brakes on the vertical stab, the orbiter relied on dynamic braking from using the underside as a massive speed brake. Just food for thought... it's why USAF fighters and bombers require such long runways to operate, they have spindly gear and tiny brakes/no arresting wires.

Flanker counter-measures : flares, chaff, trees... 😄😄😄
The new Tree Flanker Wingman project 😂
@@CivisMilitarum 😆👍
😂😂😂 savage comment
Hate those suddenly appearing trees! 😅
Lol😂 what ever works man
Longshot: "Oh cool, I guess I'm gonna die now."
The squirrels: "Don't worry man, we got you."
Great video as always! ❤As a German, I'd absolutely love to see you and GS in a Eurofighter Typhoon doing some missions!!
Thank you for your work ❤
As a Brit I concur
DEFINITELY!! IMO the Typhoon is a badass fighter and looks awesome!! The intakes for the engines are super cool!
Same here. Pls make a good Luftwaffe clip
I'd love to see you and mr sidewinder spending more time in the EF. It needs more love.
looking forward to the official EF module

@@getsideways7257my bet is it will fly similar to the m2k since it's a deltawing. Probably very floaty still
@@tmac2797 Well, at least it should be much closer to the M2k than to the rest of the fleet indeed.
I love how tight these fights were. Always love watching your prowess in the Flanker LS. From BFM to being a sneaky boi in terrian. 😎
That was an action packed fight, loved it! Thank you very much!
Glad to hear it, thanks!
that flatspin launch is very interesting; seems to be intended to shrink the boundary of the launching fighter's WEZ by giving the missile a more advantageous heading at ignition
LS has done that many times in the F-22 Raptors. He shot down GS that way. ;D
In my opinion this was the best dogfight from such a different planes. Just like to see Cylons vs Humans in Star Wars.
Dude is an absolute monster in Flankers
I guess you can say he was felled by... 🕶️...a Fox Tree
YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
I would love to see you in the Flanker dogfighting GS in the Viper and both of you being able to communicate together. That would be fun.
That tree remembers Operation Barbarossa
Amazing flying buddy absolutely amazing. I really enjoy watching you and Growling Sidewinder fly. I recommend you and GS in Hornets takeoff from the Boat on a SEAD mission with 2 groups of Bandits popping up randomly during the mission. Then you guys go back and land on the Boat.
That eurofighter is gorgeous! A thing of precision built beauty
Missile shooting by Eurofighter in flat spin situation was like Ronaldinho give pass😅
Never seen anyone use the cobra as well as longshot.......truly a beast when flying the flanker.....cheers
580knt airspeed for execute a COBRA during a merge is not really a good thing 😅
Love those low altitude knife fights!
Cobra is a great way to end up being a sitting duck.
Imagine how embarrassing for a pilot to crash into a tree, and walk back to base lol 😅
We need more love for the typhoon, plz pilot the euro fighter next time
He didn’t “push you in front” you pushed yourself in front. Looks unusually impatient in these fights

Love all the Russian SU planes 👌👌
I get that you and gs are buds, but I like your video style so much more.
LOL at the tree kill. Great flying as usual!
10:28 It is not only beaufitul, it is the sexiest. Such a great design. 🤤
Is it a coincidence I just started flying the flanker again? Love that airframe.
Wow. Tough fight. Somewhat surprised the typhoon is so maneuverable. I thought delta wings were fast but had more difficulty turning compared to conventional wing planes. Maybe those canard thingies up front help.

Delta are good at one circles though
It would be cool to see a Flanker with the Cobra against a Harrier with VIFFing. I wonder if Rafael is as manuvuerable as the Eurofighter?
Save a tree, eat a beaver. You'll need the tree again in the future.
you killed me
Awesome stuff LS!
I know that you guys did it a year or two ago but I'd love to see GS in a Typhoon vs you in a Flanker again.
Dude that had to be the closest gun kill I've seen yet!!!!👍🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥
That tree Man 😂
blud only gave gentle touch to the tree and that tree just decided to rip and tear it's wing 💀
Great content!!!
Great video Longshot! You must never badmouth a tree again, in fact you should run out into the garden and hug a tree right now!!! (joking of course but Wow!)
Good show by both planes. Very even matched
IMO no one else flies the Flankers like LS can! FLANKERMAN!!!
As much as i see the disadnvantgaes of the flanker man theyre fun to watch

45 years of Fu-27 "Flanker" in 2022 and 30 years of Typhoon in 2024.
30 Years of typhoon? that thing was supposed to be in service by 1990...guess when it became operational?
@@justacomment1657 first flight of Typhoon happened in 1994.
please do a rafale(indian) vs j20 mighty dragon dogfight and BVR. I have been saying this for a lot more time now
I love these hard on fights. Crazy to think something as old as a Flanker can beat something as new as a Eurofighter
"Hard on fights"...?
Wait, did I miss something?

@@timsullivan4566 I meant intense
@@timothybayliss6680 Not if the Su uses differential thrust
I mean it would almost never come to a fight like this, also they aren’t using the best Ir missiles for the aircraft
Longshot is just a flanker god
Nice
Nice work i would say better than gs because of great cinematics..
Eurofighter noscoping fox-2’s all over the place.
And the typhoon has no thrust vectors and still kills very cool aircraft
Why do you call it a cobra every time you pull a bit more AOA?
Because I'm using the cobra an releasing it quickly, just to gain some degrees
@@LongShotChannelBut, they aren't cobra maneuvers. You're just overriding the AOA limiter to pull a bit harder, but that doesn't make it a cobra.
@mootorkassipoeg In game it called "Cobra button" so people will know what I'm pressing

can you repeat that with the Indian MKi Flanker?
Russian jets beautiful. God bless Russia
Yes, trees are OP
No merge need you get flanker at the non visible range shot down
13:48 why the heck would the eurofighter ever reverse that? just go around

Why nobody created a missiles which can attack your 6 o'clock targets just by heat or optical signature?
You might want to do a little more research... Or were you talking about DCS?
What are your tips for dogfighting a f18 with su27?
go for a 2 circle against f18
Plant Trees, they safe lives
Rocks kill!
That frin thing is just an desktop simulator doesn't compare with real life simulation and situation
On the 5 rou d he made a cobrar and bri g you down in your onw game
I would love to like you video though its at 69 likes so unfortunatly I wont be able to because of my imature humor

Why are EF pilots always noobs?
Ace combat zero

Every SFM mod is trash, deal with that... The Truegrit's module could be realistic, but now that Heatblur has taken over, I'm not so sure anymore.
Eurofighter is ugly better bing f-16 or Rafale
