In 1974, I lived across the street from that historic house in Paducah, KY, for a summer, with my uncle and his family while our family looked for a house there in Paducah. Back then, none of the old houses in the neighborhood had been restored, and I used to look over and daydream about what this house would look like all fixed up. So great to see that someone did! That whole neighborhood has been renamed 'Lowertown', and is considered an arts district, with coffee shops and other artsy things dotted around that neighborhood, which sits just north of Downtown.(I think one coffee shop is about two blocks up on this same street.) It's very walkable, and I used to walk from there down to Downtown nearly every day that summer, just to get out, admire the old houses, get a Coke at Walgreens, then ramble home. Neat property; and I LOVE the back yard!
That "Estate" in Paducah is just INCREDIBLE!!!! I live in Louisville. Oh how I wish I had the money to buy that place, it would just be a "DREAM COME TRUE"!!!!
Something that needs to be stressed on this channel is that alot of people don't have the money to buy the "median" home prices within these states. People are really hurting. And though alot of these lower price homes can easily turn into moneypits(for which you really have to be careful), there are some move in ready homes that if you're not completely determined to update anything, you can live comfortably with no mortgage.
Love old houses. I own one i bought on 2009 in laurel ms built in 1914 fell in love with it the first time I saw it Stole it for 37,000 and it has A 1 bedroom apartment put back with 2 big lots.
Of course i like the last one. I like old, simple homes. Need more acres but that's a great home to clean up and live in if i didn't have rescue animals.
I live in Paducah and that house on sixth Street has always caught my attention. I’ve always wondered what the inside look like an actually it does need some work on the outside. A lot of TLC in landscaping would do wonders for this property. Six street is a very very busy street. I used to live near that home
Sue, your posts really help. My husband and mom are passing at the same time right now and my dad and daughter in law suddenly passed this year as well. I need to find a home close to Paducah or Tennessee. My sister lives in Cadiz KY about a 40-45 min drive. My son lives in Huntsville AL, and my brother lives in South Carolina. I'm wanting to move our families close together as time gets short. But we are on less than $2,000 per month on disability. It's looking more and more impossible for my husband to secure me before he passes. Your listings give me how but I don't know anything about construction work.
first time coming across your channel. Subscribed. My kind of homes and pricss. It would be great to know any main issues like mold. That could turn a $20,000 house into a $50,000 overnight due to mold remediation.
Burns, ky. Looks good and great deal. They took it off the market just recently so it may go back on the market a lot of work, but still very good bones and a lot of property for 20 K!
Inmy next life..love ky..my moms fam.were all from s eastern ky..like ur show.. i ook my statecexam in fl.in early 80s..like way states r so different...
Hey, Susan just wanted you to know that I'm working with a agent on that. Ol farm house in Buena ky. Also, mention tou on how I found it. I'll let ya know how it went.tks
Nice historic house with some serious problems with the walls. Sad... They should have to do like they do with cars: tell about any damage that has happened over the years - like trees falling on it, perhaps - structural issues, etc. If a car has been in a wreck they have to tell the buyer, why not homes? Btw, that's not a space heater in that third house. That's the whole house heater. Had one when we were growing up. You're going to need space heaters in the other rooms. That 4th house? The floors are out of kilter. The first room's floor is lower than the room it's connected to. These homes all seem to have major major damage - with the exception of the first home, I'd suspect flood damage. The first one looks like structural damage from a tree. Just guessing. I hope someone is able to salvage these homes, but I think the third one is beyond help.
Back to Ga. Please. I looked for the 3 houses that you mentioned, one was in Summerville, but it was not on zillow, why not? I saw a lot were up for auction in the Cartersville area but I am reluctant to do that because you can’t see the inside.
As of (3) hours ago the Summerville House shows as Active on Both Zillow and Realtor. The other 2 Houses show as "pending". Thank You for tuning in. More Houses coming up. Cheers ☕️🏡
That 19K house has my attention there. I have $9K to put down, just give me an address to look at it inside. I may buy that one. It used to have a fireplace, so that will need to be redone, along with the floorings and kitchen needs a remodel, along with that bathroom. Seems the roof also needs to be replaced along with some wall repairs. may need to be rewired all around the house as well. I figure about another $40k in repairs to bring this house up to par give or take $20K.
FYI on that Cloverport property: I lived in Cloverport for 2 years. Bought a home on Murray Ave after being away from Owensboro for 25 years and this was closest I could get to it---BIGGEST mistake of my life! Oh the stuff these listings DO NOT tell you. That whole town is a known 30+ year TOXIC DUMP! That whole area behind Murray is a ravine FILLED to the brim with dumped tires, old mattresses, rusted metal, unknown toxic cans of crap AND the town itself is ruled by 5 old money families who are more worried gossip, the local Sacajawea Festival and Christmas lights than in the known PEDO Chief of PD as well as a neighboring county Deputy Sheriff, the latter of which lives on Murray and got busted with PORN on work laptop. I kid you not! One house down from this one a KNOWN meth house with needles everywhere! R_U_N!!!! Run! Run! As we did! We sold that place and moved back to Kansas best decision EVER! Plus that school there worst I have ever seen in my 51 years!
If this is still available and this is real I'm very interested in it, I have the cash so again if this is real contact me let's work out a deal here in Kentucky 19.950 acre and half house
Thank You for tuning in to the channel. Currently the Kentucky home shows Active on the Market. Lincoln Real Estate is the agency to contact, Burna Kentucky. Stay Tuned. More Houses coming up. Cheers 🏡☕️

Love it. Great job.
the first house in Paducah is stunning. I'd buy it in a heart beat if it were closer to my home in FL
What a fun trip to Kentucky Susan. Hard to believe bargain prices on historic homes. Great job . Catch you later 😊

Very tempting to move to Kentucky, especially the second house -- lots of potential with a bit of updating.

That historic home is beyond gorgeous but I sure would hate to clean it or do the lawncare|

Wow, 167 years ago, the stories the house could tell
