first time coming across your channel. Subscribed. My kind of homes and pricss. It would be great to know any main issues like mold. That could turn a $20,000 house into a $50,000 overnight due to mold remediation.

To bad more RE agents aren't like you. I don't make very much income but saved & looked within my means in Ozarks but all 3 I was pre qualified with made excuses every time I found one in my range. They wanted me to max myself out with nothing left over to fix up but wanted me to find one needing nothing. So when ci vid interfered I just gave up. I rent. My only must was out in country with large lot for orchard & hoop house & market garden. I would have even gone for primative, no electric, former Amish home or shed made into home because I learned from grands how to live that way & did so when visiting. Do like your videos.

Something that needs to be stressed on this channel is that alot of people don't have the money to buy the "median" home prices within these states. People are really hurting. And though alot of these lower price homes can easily turn into moneypits(for which you really have to be careful), there are some move in ready homes that if you're not completely determined to update anything, you can live comfortably with no mortgage.

These have so much.potential and need love

I can highly recommend Louisiana, I live here. We have very hot summers with usually mild winters. I'm on the south end of the state and homes that go up for sale move very fast. Things are different here as far as homes. I have 4 acres with 4 acre tracts next to me. My house with land is valued at 200k, on one side of me that house went for 375k a few years ago. The other one sold for 420k. My house is the oldest at 35 years old. Louisiana is very addictive.

These prices are incredible. I live in Massachusetts and these prices are hard to believe 😮

That "Estate" in Paducah is just INCREDIBLE!!!! I live in Louisville. Oh how I wish I had the money to buy that place, it would just be a "DREAM COME TRUE"!!!!

Sue, your posts really help. My husband and mom are passing at the same time right now and my dad and daughter in law suddenly passed this year as well. I need to find a home close to Paducah or Tennessee. My sister lives in Cadiz KY about a 40-45 min drive. My son lives in Huntsville AL, and my brother lives in South Carolina. I'm wanting to move our families close together as time gets short. But we are on less than $2,000 per month on disability. It's looking more and more impossible for my husband to secure me before he passes. Your listings give me how but I don't know anything about construction work.

Back to Ga. Please. I looked for the 3 houses that you mentioned, one was in Summerville, but it was not on zillow, why not? I saw a lot were up for auction in the Cartersville area but I am reluctant to do that because you can’t see the inside.

Very tempting to move to Kentucky, especially the second house -- lots of potential with a bit of updating.

In 1974, I lived across the street from that historic house in Paducah, KY, for a summer, with my uncle and his family while our family looked for a house there in Paducah. Back then, none of the old houses in the neighborhood had been restored, and I used to look over and daydream about what this house would look like all fixed up. So great to see that someone did! That whole neighborhood has been renamed 'Lowertown', and is considered an arts district, with coffee shops and other artsy things dotted around that neighborhood, which sits just north of Downtown.(I think one coffee shop is about two blocks up on this same street.) It's very walkable, and I used to walk from there down to Downtown nearly every day that summer, just to get out, admire the old houses, get a Coke at Walgreens, then ramble home. Neat property; and I LOVE the back yard!

It is not so darn hot in Snowflake. Snowflake's summer highs are typically in the 80s, with July peaks in the low 90s..

I grew up in illinois, Quincy, specifically. Quincy is a River city with some of the most gorgeous historic homes in all of the US! Many are listed on the national register!

You don't wana live in Central or Southern IL.
