Glad to hear runs awesome on steam deck! I haven’t played 3-4 I only started on 5. But I just got 6 recently and I started playing it, 6 is a lot more difficult I find.
@@MapleBaconGaming To me Tropico 5 is way more fun than Tropico 6. The graphics seem nicer, the buildings seem to have more charm and they don't all look the same like In tropico 6, the layout of opening and looking around for buildings in my case the xbox controller is alot clunkier compared to tropico 5 as well as just moving and placing down buildings compared to 5 feels like alot more work I don't know how to describe it. Just doesn't feel as good as Tropico 5. I also feel like Tropico 6 is trying to be more of a city building game rather than a political strategy game. With tropico 5 I feel like there were more things u could do politically, you could also survive a foreign invasion which they had sadly removed in tropico 6. I feel like if they let u increase the population in tropico 5 then I'd be playing it alot more frequently I've pretty much stopped playing tropico 6 entirely despite the new DLCs they've added. In a perfect world for me I'd love if tropico 5 made it so u could have the population cap at 5k-10k rather than 2k because I feel like my island is really growing economically towards the end of the population growth at around 1.5k people . I would also add some of the political options from the 4th game into tropico 5 ans maybe make it so u could move the palace and build bridges onto other islands. If I was able to do all of this in tropico 5 then I'd say to me that would be the perfect tropico game and I'd probably never play another tropico game. I am excited for a Tropico 7 possibly coming soon however if they make it more like tropico 6 meaning more like a city builder and less like a political game then I'll probably forever stick with Tropico 5....sorry for the long rant😅
Well I guess tropico 5 on PC fixes the population issue so I just play that on my laptop now. Hoping to eventually get an Alienware m18 r2 Gaming Laptop to fix the lagging
I don’t know what it is but this is my favorite tropico. The writing isn’t quite as good as 4 but the gameplay feels the cleanest of the whole series. Tropico 6 adds some cool mechanics but the animations aren’t as good as 5 and the battles especially leave something to be desired. There’s also this certain sterile feeling that doesn’t do it for me.
It runs so well on the Steam Deck. And the bigger fonts compared to Tropico 6 are a godsend. I miss the radio stations of 3 and 4 though.
