Honestly the one thing I don't like about King is how he holds the sword when not attacking or when dashing. It just looks goofy being this perfectly horitzontal line.
He's showing his superiority by holding the sword in the least ergonomic form possible

I tried using the upgraded treasure inscription to upgrade lunar ring and it became the argent dawn. Only sad thing is you can only use it in the dark skul and alexander fight.

Also... I just finished a Lich run with his watery waifu, her bathwater, and a certain demon sword. It was Demon King isekai vibe, but rocked socks.
Nice run either way. It ended up being a lil bit more treasure king than speedy king-King, but those treasures are great indeed. I am patiently waiting for a Guan Yu run when he's more himself, like with his items and weaving all the moves together. Also I can't get an Oberon King out of my head xD
Shade, Lou, Undine, the bottle and the blessing will make for an okay-ish oberon imo, nothing stellar but helpfull all the same I'd imagine. Very hard on the luck though for sure... And then his boots and sword, some couple wisdom items, maybe his chalice and nether mana suppressor, inscription pillars to bump some other two useful inscriptions a bit, whatever overlaps, I think artifact and manacycle? Don't remember off the top of my head, maybe manatech instead of one of those two is what will be there...
Also patrons screen is EVOLVING! I like paint look better, but both lil silly Beelz dudes down there are very fun and cool )
Best build I’ve made for Arthur is Max hidden blade, two speed, electric field, and the one perk that allows you to get faster the more crits you hit. Turns Arthur to a living blender.

You should try out Guan Yu with his legendary item, especially with 5 masterpiece (and the omen masterpiece), he gets some truly ridiculous damage, he's really fun!
And I agree with you, Dark Dad's still the hardest boss IMO, Emperor is Joan 2.0 (so he's not so much hard so much as just not very fun or well designed), Dark Skul is still manageable (even if his damage is insane)
Still, when you were playing against Dark Skul, you were really going all out! Loved to see that.

Double the King, double the fun, but the King also lost to the King this time around. The King's truly a menace, with its 5 (Multidimensional, Mech 2 Arm, Mech 1 Arm, Heart, and "Weak") phases! Even the King with his sword of destruction-doom-death couldn't slay the King soon enough due to the King's beams of death!
Ramblings aside, the Dark Hero is just a time trial at this point - the longer it takes to kill him, the higher of a chance he'll just go for the backspace!

aaaaaand that's why I don't do attack speed runs on DM10 anymore. You could get 2000% magic attack and still only scratch the bosses, plus you also get locked into the attack frames. Not having predicted pain/soul strike equivalent is painful, DM10 might just be a bit scuffed in that department.

Thief is imo one of the best due to his gold effect. He gains more cash and deals a little more damage. Prisoner/King is another good one because of how his self buffs work. Werewolf is good due to having baked in crit but too much speed and he bugs out easier than others. Berserker works fairly ok as well as he has access to good buffs. Clown is also pretty good because of his passive effect. You just need to find a healthy balance of attack speed and damage for him.
Best rapidity run skull - {😈Magic Clown😈} of course.

@@countgarlic9495 he's decent at it. His gold form gives you a solid window while attacking. His only con is his jump attack. But king suffers a similar issue and makes up for it with buffs. So champ is prob still fine.

His big excalibur release does a lot of damage on its own. But it does more damage the lower his meter is. So if you fire it off right before it runs out, it'll do the most damage. It's why I stalled on purpose.

A living armor run would be fun. I did a normal mode with him the other day and thunderer and I was having more fun with Living Amor than Thor which surprised me. No one clears like a level 3 soul fire.
I believe the most Treasure(no rigging) would be 13 if you had treasure Clone Stamp duped by slime. If rigged, 19 with 8 treasure clone stamps and the King's chest item. Would be cool to see.

the answer with no regard to luck, i mean as long it can happens it counts even if that run would be near impossible it's still possible and the answer would be :
so first there are 2 items with 2 treasure as inscription and one is from the upgrade and the other is from clone stamp treasure that is +4 and the rest of stots +7 and with the +1 inscription effect from the treasure upgrade that is a total of 12 . . .wait ? that's it ? wait wait i thought i was doing a usefull calculation . . . turns out i was dumb and just wasted our time ! . . . and even if we bring in the prince box with both master piece and treasure- wait if also count the transformed version of prince box i think we could go up to 13 ! . . . yea that's it it really doesn't matter since it's just 2 higher then 11 that you normally get with the upgrade . . .
Would be cool if you can give the rest of your excess bones to Arachne and they're held & usable in the next run.

The king is an amazing skull
Pelvis is the most consistent one imao, unless you do a full skill run, you almos always have a nice stack, also the damage is pretty good
I'm honestly starting to think that Attack Speed/Speed skull builds in the higher level Dark runs (and the new boss fights in general) are just not consistent nor feasible. Because the majority of their damage comes from persistent damage as opposed to one-off gigantic hits, they have to expose themselves to enemies for a LOT longer to rack up their numbers.
Couple this with the fact that the later bosses dart and teleport all over the screen, and a LOT of the Speed boys just can't keep up (ironically) as opposed to other skulls that don't need to expose themselves so often to get their damage out (or have numerous ways to mitigate damage).
I think the main issue is also that I fall victim to the big damage boost shiny items. I need to commit to a Go-Getter item spam build. Afterimage, Mana Glove, Thief Armour, Invisible Knife, Gunpowder, Thieves Black Steel and maybe 1-2 raw damage boosts for both damage values (Fulgent Dawn and Pot of Greed type deal). Go a proper hybrid style item build so you benefit from the best of both sides. Then spam effects.
No u have to get strike, crit and rapitity for a really good qnd fun build

Dark skul really is just a knowledge check. Compared to the daddy o fight, daddy o's way tougher.
Sometimes Dad just decides ''It's killing time'' and throws out some of the most heinous stuff. Thorns covering 50% of the ground you can stand n while diving at you or throwing projectiles. The pulsing orb you gotta either kill or ignore. His huge ultimates that can be tricky to dodge or hard to visually notice (his huge grab). Meanwhile Dark Skul, while a bit BS here and there, isn't THAT bad.

Just to favor more defense or outright damage boosting effects. In the past I've found that items can usually carry your speed far enough on their own but damage can be an issue if not stacked properly. It's why you'll see a lot of players lean on Collection Desire or any of the amplifier choices that boost skill damage or close/long range damage. Or weakness exposure or go-getter. But it's true if I really wanted to go absolutely insane with maximum attack speed I would need Lethal.
