DIY Homemade Rain Chains

In this video I show how I made my own rain chain brackets. I also show a method for avoiding tear-out while cutting the holes in the vinyl gutter. Finally, I demonstrate the cut quality using my miter saw to cut the gutters to length.

Try running your drill in reverse to cut large hole in thin metal!

what size hole saw bit for the rain chain

I think it was about 1.5 inches but I don't remember exactly. You'll want to make the hole fit your bracket. If you have a lot of leaves falling near your house you'll want to consider using a bigger hole and bracket so that the leaves can pass through.
