- Laura Jane Grace of Against Me! and Frnkiero andthe cellabration stopped by the AP offices while on their summer tour together for a quick (and hot!) acoustic session.
For her solo performance, Laura Jane Grace performed “True Trans Soul Rebel” from Against Me!’s Transgender Dysphoria Blues.

I listened to her music since I was a teen. I knew that she was struggling to be her authentic self. And she is 3 times awesome after becoming Laura and my personal hero. I look up to her as she does to Bob Dylan. :)
I'm late making this comment but Laura Jane Grace has done so much for me, showing me that I might be a beautiful woman like her someday. Her songs about dysphoria and the trans experience, the anger of Black Me Out, and the heartbreak of Paralytic States, have changed and maybe even saved my life. I admire her and her music, and I hope that I can be as great a musician as she is someday.

If you've gone through puberty, taking estrogen doesn't really make your voice much lighter. Many trans women go through voice training to sound more like what society thinks a cis women sounds like, which is straining and possibly damaging to your voice. I don't know if Laura Jane Grace has gone through voice training, personally I love her voice, and even though my opinion on it obviously doesn't matter, I hope she doesn't change it too much. Although the stereotypical cis woman voice might be very light I know plenty of cis woman with lower/darker voices - the only women who are pushed to have lighter voices seem to be trans women, which sucks: lower/darker voices are so beautiful and it's a shame it's not appreciated more.
@@RavenmockerxX Very true, and important to mention voice surgery do exist! There are so little talk about the existence of this surgery in the community. I personally am having this surgery very soon!
