The only reason a medicore movie like Pathan did what it did because there craving of mass movie of SRK. Akshay Kumar's Well made Films of Recent Times according to my opinion is 1. Bell Bottom (2021) 2. Sooryavanshi (2021) 3. Selfiee (2023) 4. Omg 2 (2023) 5. Mission Raniganj (2023) 6. Sarfira (2024) 7. Khel Khel Mein (2024) Only Three Films in this list like Bell Bottom, Sooryavanshi and Omg 2 were Box office success. While the other Four Films Selfiee, Mission Raniganj, Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein despite being a Well made Films it became a Box office disasters.

Akshay's high remuneration doesn't make sense. If he had lower remuneration and was doing 3-5 films a year I'd get it. But even at his peak he was not the Khans, his movies were usually in the 100-200 cr range. So if he's charging a lot of money it's very difficult for his films to break even.
The thing which seperated out him from the khans was his hit movie streak, while the khans would do one movie or max 2 in a year and get a hot/average, Akshay would do 4 and get away with hits/blockbusters, 190-210 was what he was hitting regularly in 2019, and he had a similar streak in 2007 which was a huge breakthrough year for him and 2011 off sorts, henceforth he has some 40-41 clean hits in bollywood which is kinda wild with the current scenario where actors such as Shahid have had 5-6 clean hits in their entire career, so what fed him success for so long is ironically deserting him and now bro does not know what to do or whom to turn to!

I beg to differ for imran. Besides jaane tu ya jaane na imran had hits such as I Hate Luv Storeys, Delhi Belly, and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, and even Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu to an extent (film recovered its budget). He even experimented with films like Kidnap, Luck, and Delhi Belly while he was still perceived to have a romantic boy image. The problem was that he experimented a bit too early.

Why are people only blaming Akshay? Like he was not acclaimed for a movie like Rustom, was even awarded National award for it. That was the beginning of his HIT era. I genuinely love Fardeen Khan's comedic roles in films such as "Heyy Babyy" and "All The Best", and even I felt his presence was very stiff in the trailer itself. Still rooting for him tho... 😮💨🤞
Okay I dont remember so much of his action from earlier films. I thought his comedy was good in some part and 1 or two parts, it felt slightly forced. I guess overall can say he did well but don’t take my word for it, experience it yourself…
I saw both Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein. I saw Khel Khel Mein first day, first show and loved it. Watched Nothing to hide on Netflix and perfect strangers on Amazon Prime later but loved the Hindi version much more. I think Akshay and Tapsee add so much more to the characters.
The movie was funny. Akshay Kumar, Thapse Pannu, Ammy Virk were great. Genuinely funny. Fardeen Khan looked so uncomfortable and uncomfortable to watch.
Same movie had been remade by Jeethu Joseph couple of years ago called 12th Man in Malayalam. Not sure whether this movie copy of that movie or original Italian movie
I want to watch it. But.. I think Clashing with Stree2 was a fab idea. Free PR for being in a clash when everything falls flat. Sarfira’s highest day is the first Sunday at 5.25 Crs, Khel Khel Mein’s first day is slightly higher than that, the first weekend is here now. It helps that Akshay Kumar’s cameo in Stree2 was also well received
I enjoyed this film some of the surprises were predictable but some were also not. The performances were great this is the first time I’ve seen Pragya Jaiswal and I think she was very good hope people appreciate her. So the film was very fun would recommend.
I'd love Akshay to do more films in a year.. It doesn't bother me, the thing that bothers is how much time and efforts he's giving to a film.. I loved him More the all three Khan actors.. if he gives his 100% in a film.. people will watch.. no matter how many films he does.. ❤

Perfect strangers might be an obscure movie. But there have been a Malayalam movies which adapted the same concept as recent as last year. "12th Man". Also an Indie movie called 1001 Nunakal (1001 Lies) also is an interesting premise where a group of friends play during a get together play a game which unfolds conflict within the group.
Akshay Kumar now (in cameo) needs Pankaj Tripathy to deliver any possible hit...OMG 2 and now Stree 2. He needs to carry on the "Khiladi" franchise. Title: "Khiladi Ke Aamb". I am a die hard fan of Akshay Kumar since I saw him in the movie Saugandh and have even watched his MR Bond like 10 times(was a teenager helplessly in love 😂 so don't judge me) but his last few movies it feels he takes audience for granted and refuses to listen to criticism also his own interviews where he has said stuff which shows lack of dedication to his character building. I was watching Sooryavanshi and it was such a funny entertaining movie with his comic timing but at the same time the seriousness of the plot. I wish his next movie should only release like atleast 6 months later and becomes a blockbuster.

It is really disappointing that this film is not doing too well. Watched it yesterday, a really enjoyable film with comedy that I enjoyed, and tight screenplay that successfully handled comedy and drama at the same time.
This is a genuinely good movie. It keep you hooked with suspense and entertains you with comedy. Sadly, as said in this video, it should not have been released same weekend as Stree-2. Akshay's phone call with his daughter is THE best part of the film.

Akshay's high remuneration doesn't make sense. If he had lower remuneration and was doing 3-5 films a year I'd get it. But even at his peak he was not the Khans, his movies were usually in the 100-200 cr range. So if he's charging a lot of money it's very difficult for his films to break even.
The thing which seperated out him from the khans was his hit movie streak, while the khans would do one movie or max 2 in a year and get a hot/average, Akshay would do 4 and get away with hits/blockbusters, 190-210 was what he was hitting regularly in 2019, and he had a similar streak in 2007 which was a huge breakthrough year for him and 2011 off sorts, henceforth he has some 40-41 clean hits in bollywood which is kinda wild with the current scenario where actors such as Shahid have had 5-6 clean hits in their entire career, so what fed him success for so long is ironically deserting him and now bro does not know what to do or whom to turn to!

Besides jaane tu ya jaane na imran had hits such as I Hate Luv Storeys, Delhi Belly, and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, and even Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu to an extent (film recovered its budget). He even experimented with films like Kidnap, Luck, and Delhi Belly while he was still perceived to have a romantic boy image. The problem was that he experimented a bit too early.

I saw both Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein. I saw Khel Khel Mein first day, first show and loved it. Watched Nothing to hide on Netflix and perfect strangers on Amazon Prime later but loved the Hindi version much more. I think Akshay and Tapsee add so much more to the characters.

I enjoyed this film some of the surprises were predictable but some were also not. The performances were great this is the first time I’ve seen Pragya Jaiswal and I think she was very good hope people appreciate her. So the film was very fun would recommend.
I'd love Akshay to do more films in a year.. It doesn't bother me, the thing that bothers is how much time and efforts he's giving to a film.. I loved him More the all three Khan actors.. if he gives his 100% in a film.. people will watch.. no matter how many films he does.. ❤

Imagine if Akshay had taken 1-2 year gap and released something like this as a "comeback of sorts into his array - comedy". Nearly everyone would be hyped and wondering what he is cooking. Alas, it's just another movie, whether good or bad, within 1.5 months. As Akshay says, hit or flop, he will start working again and keeps churning movies every 2-3 months.

Perfect strangers might be an obscure movie. But there have been a Malayalam movies which adapted the same concept as recent as last year. "12th Man". Also an Indie movie called 1001 Nunakal (1001 Lies) also is an interesting premise where a group of friends play during a get together play a game which unfolds conflict within the group.

I am a die hard fan of Akshay Kumar since I saw him in the movie Saugandh and have even watched his MR Bond like 10 times(was a teenager helplessly in love 😂 so don't judge me) but his last few movies it feels he takes audience for granted and refuses to listen to criticism also his own interviews where he has said stuff which shows lack of dedication to his character building. I was watching Sooryavanshi and it was such a funny entertaining movie with his comic timing but at the same time the seriousness of the plot. I wish his next movie should only release like atleast 6 months later and becomes a blockbuster.

It is really disappointing that this film is not doing too well. Watched it yesterday, a really enjoyable film with comedy that I enjoyed, and tight screenplay that successfully handled comedy and drama at the same time.

He was a craze at the time so a lot of us liked him. His acting is always mediocre and his expressions come minutes after it is required.
This is a genuinely good movie. It keep you hooked with suspense and entertains you with comedy. Sadly, as said in this video, it should not have been released same weekend as Stree-2.

because there are many insanely talented people in our country who are trying to showcase themselves and bring people to theatre. like kill, lapata ladies, 2018. a person with this much experience and money can do better expescially when people are craving originality and interesting content. your talent is useless if it cannot sell in a domain which is around selling showcases. he could have chosen to support new writers and directors.
