There were a couple of REALLY endearing tweets, first from Hrithik calling SRK his "mentor", and then SRK replying to it being partly apologetic about how things turned out eventually, and all this openly on Twitter! 😊 If I recall, they even both purchased tickets and shared a picture of watching the other's movie! Saavi ,on the other hand, has Divya Khosla in it. I don't want to say anything more. She has zero acting skills. So, even if she bought the rights to a movie, she wouldn’t do that movie any justice. The Legend of Bhagat Singh was an awesome film. Last of the good films made by Santoshi. I remember reading the reviews of both the films in TOI and the Devgan starrer got 4 stars while Lord Bobby's film got 2 albeit he was praised for his performance but his vadda paaji was mocked for his rather caricature portrayal of Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad.
This time also Kartik approached Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn if they could postpone their film by 1 week but rohit shetty denied. They both are Fighting for no.of screens where they had full october and september to release their films.

I had no idea that release dates could cause so much drama. Never thought of it. These was by far the most eye opening video for me regarding Bollywood Drama.
Recently a similar yet dissimilar insident happened in Malayalam movie scen with the release of ARM, Kishkinda Khandam and another movie staring Antony Pepe released the same day. But insted of competition with one another and making the scene ugly. The three of them released a joint video promoting each other's movies and aking their fans to support all the releses. Then it was the audience who later decided to promot their choice through word of mouth. This is also a way to compete at the box office in a civil manner. ☺️☺️

People don’t quite realise how significant the clash between Sawariyaan vs OSO was. This is when foreign production house started to produce and distribute the movies in India quite aggressively and there was fear inside industry that they will take over especially because we have very limited screens. Of course SRK came to rescue and saved Bollywood once again.
The problem here is that unlike the US, India has limited multiple screen theatres. The US and European markets have multiplexes with upto 12 screens each, multiplexes for smaller independent films. So even if a Barbie and Oppenheimer open on the same weekend, both get more than sufficient screens. And the movies play for enough time to recover their money. India simply has multiplexes with limited screens and then atleast in that segment, it is a fight to grab those screens. And then it is simply hunger games for screens.

Hrithik was the only one who came close to challenging the SRK mania of the 2000s (when SRK was at the peak of his superstardom)... just like during late 1970s till 1980, Vinod Khanna came close to challenging Amitabh Bachchan's dominance... Both Hrithik and Vinod failed, ultimately.
That said Hrithik is in a far better place now than Vinod Khanna was post the 70s. Hrithik's name still has value and he even carried a mediocre film like Fighter into becoming an average grosser when it should have been a disaster And generally speaking, he's had a lot more iconic roles/films than Vinod Khanna despite not being able to reach SRK's heights

Sam Bahadur and Animal clashing on 1st December was something to remember. One went on to do business of over 900 cr, while the other proves that Vicky is still an underdog, despite film collecting over 100 cr
But I think in the case of Chhaava he will win on a big margin.
Sam Bahadur was not a well made movie IMO. Vicky Kaushal, though a tremendous actor, was delivering dialogues in a similar tone throughout the movie. It became irritating after half hour. He looked brilliant and all the credit goes to makeup dept.
Very confident and secure actor. Dealing huge clashes from the early phase of his career and still making his film profitable is a very big deal.

Jigra was freaking amazing. I don’t even care if it’s a copy. Alia Bhatt, Manoj Pahwa, and Vedang were frickin' amazing. The cinematography and sibling love were beautifully shown. Saavi ,on the other hand, has Divya Khosla in it. I don't want to say anything more. She has zero acting skills. So, even if she bought the rights to a movie, she wouldn’t do that movie any justice. The Legend of Bhagat Singh was an awesome film. Last of the good films made by Santoshi. I remember reading the reviews of both the films in TOI and the Devgan starrer got 4 stars while Lord Bobby's film got 2 albeit he was praised for his performance but his vadda paaji was mocked for his rather caricature portrayal of Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad.

The problem here is that unlike the US, India has limited multiple screen theatres. The US and European markets have multiplexes with upto 12 screens each, multiplexes for smaller independent films. So even if a Barbie and Oppenheimer open on the same weekend, both get more than sufficient screens. And the movies play for enough time to recover their money. India simply has multiplexes with limited screens and then atleast in that segment, it is a fight to grab those screens. And then it is simply hunger games for screens.

I'm still upset for the clash between bhediya and drishyam2 in which one became a huge hit inspite of being a remake while the other one being an original film did an average at the box office 😢 Bhediya deserved so much more👍
Bhediya was just average movie. Drishyam 3 despite a remake was far better movie. Just get out of that. By the way both movies did not clash. They released within 1 week gap.
