Limited. I fall in a different demographic...I’m not a truck guy. Never owned one and didn’t think I ever would. Then I started watching your videos to understand what they had to offer, and I fell in love. I didn’t realize a truck didn’t have to be just a “work” truck. There were trucks with all the tech and luxury you’d get from a high end SUV. However, it’s more practical as a home owner and still rides like a European import with air suspension!
I just finished my custom order for a new 2021 Limited thanks to Ben Hardy videos. Now I’m just wondering if I need to invest in cowboy boots to sip my espresso in my new truck.
I can’t wait for mines to arrive either
Accurate. Working in software, I know what you mean. My 2500 factory custom has been amazing since the day I ordered.
You will love it, I have 2019 and would not go back with the sport package.
welcome to 2021. They been making luxury trucks for many years
I'm on my sixth Ram. When I purchased the 2019 I ruled out the Longhorn (I'm not a cowboy) and the Limited seems to come in basic black, which my wife doesn't like. My latest Laramie is loaded almost to the features of the Limited, including the 12 inch screen. I tell people that I drive a luxury sedan with a pick-up truck bed.
My Laramie is loaded as well and I much rather have the Laramie over the Limited, more cost efficient. I’m going to use your phase “ I drive a luxury sedan with a pick-up truck bed.”
@@tonyablack9781 can’t lie the limited airbags is badass
Thanks for the video.I went to buy a Ram Rebel and fell in love with the blacked out Limited. I live in Florida and when I found out cooled seats were not available on the Rebel the Limited won me over .. my 2020 has over 20K miles already and it is still fun to drive.
Ben I just wanna thank you for all your reviews on the RAM. I just purchased a 2021 1500 limited night edition. And I love every min of it.
I love the limited. I like that the night edition is available on the limited now. It looks really good on the Delmonico red pearlcoat. Dream truck for me personally.
Thank Ben. I posted on an older video but thank you for the excellent comparisons. Just traded in my 18 big horn for the Laramie sport. You video definitely gave me the intel to discuss thoroughly with the dealer and I got a great deal notwithstanding the inventory shortage on a 2021 Laramie sport which was in my price range Taking delivery Tuesday and can’t wait to enjoy the Laramie.
Monday I will be in mine..... with the roof!
Just traded in my F150 for a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition! Love the new Ram!
I have been trying to decide on a new truck I have had Fords for years and this time I have almost decided on a Ram. They are super nice!
Hey man! I'm shopping for a ram 1500 laramie night edition right now, how do you like it a month since your comment? May I ask what price you snagged it for? Anything you don't like about it>?
You can spec out the Laramie with everything minus the 360 rear view mirror/camera, the air suspension and the fancier trim for about 57k out the door. IMO, limited is way more $ for just a little bit more options
Limited. I’m a plug and play type guy. I would rather spend more knowing that I have everything I want plus more instead of buying the cheaper truck and adding as I go.
Both look good, but the Laramie looks just as good as the Limited on the inside. With that in mind I would buy the Laramie for over 10k less than the Limited. Then I would spend that money in the aftermarket on wheels, wraps, grills and other things to build a better looking exterior than the Limited.
Is it expensive to black out your grill if you have a sport
Always nice to see the small differences between them
I bought the 2021 limited longhorn with the chrome package. Love it. What I noticed shopping were the seats in the limited longhorn were MUCH more comfortable and less stiff. Part of that may be the difference in the foam as well as the air ride suspension. I absolutely LOOOVE it and it was well worth the extra money just for the comfort in the seats alone.
I would pick the Laramie. The limited has some items I don’t need or want. With the Laramie I could add what I want aftermarket and still spend a lot less.
I'm currently debating (putting it nicely) this with my husband... I want the blacked out as I hate chrome. I thought Laramie had a "night edition" meaning blacked out instead of chrome, but from research we've found the night edition IS the limited... therefore 15k more 😣
@@NenaL86 the Laramie Sport does not have as much chrome as the regular one. As far as the wheels go a professional powder coat shop can take care of that and will look as good or better than stock. My biggest downer on the limited is no way would I want 22’s on a truck. Good luck in your shopping and hope you find a truck that will make you 😊
@@NenaL86 I have the Laramie night edition I just bought one a week ago . Just have to keep looking .
@@korderoharris05 😁 I found my red beauty a few days after this reply. She is a bad ass with all the bells & whistles too
I have a 2012 Ram Laramie and I still get mostly 15 around town, but only around 17 on hwy, These newer truck are gorgeous.
White trucks with black accents always looks good 👍👍
Until the pollen comes 😂
@@westy125 facts
You are the man Ben! Best reviews
Nice that they finally offer the limited in white with the night edition package.
I really like the limited vs the Laramie. The tech and the added options you get with the Night edition seem to be worth the extra money. I like that Ram started the Night edition in the 2021 vs the Black Appearance package in 2020 and earlier models which only came in black trucks. I like that I can get the Night edition in other body-color trucks. Will probably purchase either a red or white truck with Night edition.
thnx for ur video man
we just picked up 2021 night edition black package looks awesome man
thnx bro
I purchased a laramie sport appearance package but with all the bells and whistles that a limited has in this video. The only reason I didn't go with the limited was shortage of trucks here in Canada. After looking around for more than a month I could only bag a laramie. So far happy with my purchase.
I would get the Laramie with the night package....and thats exactly what I did!..... Thanks Ben!
I’m waiting on my Laramie, midnight edition to arrive at the dealership! I can’t wait for it to arrive. I had a Rebel and although it was a good truck, I’m sure I will Love my Laramie better😊
@@tonyablack9781 Still loving mine Tonya. Hope yours comes in soon!
I am having a 2021 night edition Limited delivered to me from Arizona to California. It will be about 65 K after all of the Incentives. I ordered mine to Include the Ram Box and multi function tailgate too. Beautiful truck In Granite Crystal Metallic :)
You do great job.
I’d go with used limited 2019-2020
2016 Limited owner, “all that crazy stuff” makes you want to drive! I feel like a disappointed kid when my wife wants to drive her vehicle. I got the four corner Air, so my Obsidian Ram can kneel to let her in. But there is something missing from the uniquely Ram experience in this video...RAM 📦! If you get any Ram without the Ram Box, you will drool with envy when I leave the club grocery store with two bags of ice, open ONE of my Ram Boxes, dump the ice then a months worth of meats and frozen goods. Forget tailgating...I become a Ram salesmen every time I pump ⛽️.
I would buy the limited. O wait I already own one. 😂😂
Only here because my dealership only had one truck that suited my needs. Ended up buying the Ram Laramie Limited. Not sure if I have buyers remorse yet, or if I just don't know to much about it. The truck is definitely the nicest thing I've ever owed. So luxuries, and smooth with the air suspension. Would recommend if you have $75,000 to spend on a luxury truck.
Im gonna order my limited this week. Just Ivory white👍🏼👍🏼
Great video
I have a 19’ Limited.
LOVE IT.
I will buy another one.
Within the next two years.
Limited, Last pickup I had was the Dodge 2001 1500 with the 5.9L V8. This was a year or so before the 5.7 Hemi. Was a great truck and sorry I had to get rid of it when got an International Job.
Not sure about trucks, but view behind is just majestic!
Man you getting so many views haha. Good for you bro
Great coverage; I would (I may will) pick up the limited fully loaded options. It has everything you need to anywhere . Doesn’t it?
Regards From Saudi Arabia
Sup Ben its yours truly 18 hours later 🙃🤣. 0:00 & 0:04 the sound of that 5.7L Hemi V8 ❤🔥❤🔥❤.
I just bought a 2021 Ram Laramie and I absolutely love it!!! I haven't bought a vehicle since 2006, I have a lot to learn about these new vehicles (lol). But wouldn't trade my Lamarie for anything 🥰
It's not as simple a comparison as shown here. You can configure a Laramie to be very close in features with the Limited and still save quite a lot of money. The Limited offers a nicer interior if you like the styling, but you're paying a lot for it. The Laramie is a considerably better bargain even when configured close in features with the Limited. You can even configure a Laramie to have more features than the base Limited. You really need to use the RAM build feature and compare models before making a decision.
I drove the 20-21’s Limited down to the Big Horn. They all drive about the same. All had the 5.7 Hemi. I wanted a Limited and almost got it except the interior color was a 2 tone. I went with a 21 Laramie in Billet Silver Metallic with the Night Package. Out the door price around 52K. I didn’t get a few options some of which I didn’t want like the panel sun roof. I did get the 8.4 inch with Nav and HK 19 speaker stereo. Also has the power boards. 5.7 with eTorque. I just need a liner and bed cover. Oh it also has the blacked out 22’s.
Picked the 2021 Laramie all black, limited has all the extra options I don’t need.
Love the video but I have a 2017 Laramie Limited, can you still get the Laramie limited?
The Ram with the night package is the best looking truck on the market
I picked the Limited, 2020 model. I love it!
Dang I really love the limited edition but my pockets say Laramie 😃
Just switched from f150 Lariat to the 2021 Limited. Love it!
Yea I’m done with my lariat. I wanna get the limited with night edition package. Ford has gotten very lazy with updating the f150
Limited because of the options if you can afford it. But the biggest reason for me on the limited is if you do a lot of night driving then those adaptive led headlights on the limited can’t be beat
What I would really like to see is a review on a model that the average Joe can afford. All we ever see are reviews on the top of the line models.
This video has been beyond helpful coz I’m actually haggling w the dealer right now between these 2 trucks. I really want the Limited, but they won’t budge on the price. They have been price cutting the Laramie for me to buy, but I’m holding off coz I really want the Limited. I hope I don’t cave 🤞
me to
That limited tho! Badass
Limited, it just look awesome!
I would definitely pick the limited it is just sexier! 😝👍
I actually did pick the laramie and very happy with the truck. For the money I believe the laramie is best bang for the buck!
Informative video, however, next time could you compare vehicles with the same trims, and packages? Comparing both night editions, there are a lot less differences
I most definitely agree!!! Comparing both with the night edition the Laramie would prove to be the most economical truck and look just as good as the Limited.
The limited is my Dream truck 🙏🏻
does the e torque engine offer more towing capacity? How many gallons does the truck have? I couldn’t find that information.
i’m about to get a 2021 Limited night edition. i want the comfort, plus things i got used to in my old 2017 Bighorn (RamBins, storage!!!)🎉❤😊
What's the payload difference between the two?
I picked up my Laramie Sport about 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it. It’s everything I could possibly want in a truck. I can tell you for a fact that 17/22 is a damn lie. But I didn’t buy it for its fuel mileage.
Lmfao yeah i get 14/18 max
21 Laramie Night Edition. 14-17. It is winter here though.
I want one so bad. I stuck on limited but could settle for the Laramie
Love the limited because of the way it is equipped
I literally ordered a Laramie this week. It come in Night Edition, so the appearance argument goes away. I spec'd it out with almost every option available and it came in under $63K minus incentives available on delivery. It's a no brainer. Wood trim? Pffffft!
Wonder if I can get away doing that with the Rebel lol, it’s been my favorite trim.
Yeah it's still has that Mopar Sound.!!!🤠🤗💪
Ordered my Limited - can’t wait
Congrats!
🙏🏾 same here. I got a white one like this one Fully loaded, ecodiesel, roof, boxes, tailgate, Tech and tow package. I’m stationed in Germany and I can’t wait for it to arrive, we take road trips in the wife Jeep GC High altitude (same color as the truck I ordered), but I can’t wait to take one in the truck.
How long does it take to come back?
Do all limited comes with those running boards that pull out like that?
I just wish it had diff-lock (at least in the rear axel)
I think a better/more fair comparison would have been a fully loaded Laramie against the Limited as the Limited with all the options is, to me, obviously the better truck.
I believe both limited and larame are the night edition, but I would pay more for the limited although the more options you have the more the liability like you said. The MSRP for the limited in my state is 90k.
I absolutely would pick the Limited. Because it’s definitely a better look and more options for the money
Just bought a limited in 55,000$ cash
Love the Limited and the 5.7 but that motor is long in the tooth. It is a shame that in the top trim you can't get the 392 that is in the SRTs and the Rubicon. Maybe they will surprise us in 2022 with that as an option.
That Laramie front end looks better imo... I might be bias as I just bought a 2022 Laramie lol... Love the truck I've heard terrible things about the lane keep tech for Ram. TBH I had it on all my other vehicles and it made me pay attention to driving less than I normally would. Could this be a good thing?
Definitely the limited just bought it! I love it
Review the longhorn vs the limited plz. It would mean the world to me. thanks.
Planning on it
I wish they would start putting the 6.4 liter motors in them. The 5.7 has done a great job. But it's time to beef up. At least make the limited with bigger motors.
How well do the ventilated seats work in the front and the back?
Really well in the rams
Neather one not enough chrome
Nice trucks
Both are awesome trucks. But the Larmie is a better buy in my opinion. If you have money to burn get a limited.
The limited hands down, I have a 2109 with just about all those options and I always get Toyota, Chevy and Ford truck owners drooling over my Ram Limited.
I would pick the limited. Why? Go big or go home!
Happy with my 2020 Laramie sport, especially my hemi does not have the auto turn off feature which I know there is a button to disable it but why have that on a 5.7 hemi anyway.
LA FLAMA BLANCA what do you mean ?
Limited, has nicer features and more tec.
Prize difference, OK, but so much more luxury.
I just ordered this limited with the ecodiesel
@Sendit Sunday well when that happens I’ll get an electric truck
@Sendit Sunday indeed u did 😂
The Limited-The sunroof; leather trim; the leg room!;the navigator system
If you don’t love these beasts there is something wrong with you upstairs...😝👍🎉🎉🎉
Why? You were just complaining about how the 2021 F-150 looks just like the 2020. How about I complain about Ram having the same drivetrain for years like in the previous Ram. See how that works?
@@websterslaughter5948 That’s fine!😊👍
Back to the time you didnt look like a bearded warrior from some countrys 😂
great vid, butttttt you could've compared a White Laramie NIGHT package with Level 2 Equip Grp with the black machined wheels & and they would have VERY similar looks.... PLUS i'm pretty sure the payload is BARELY 1000 lbs on the Limited with all that EXTRA weight.... BTC
Exactly correct just bought one
Absolutely limited it’s worth the money more option and very comfortable and looks good
I just bought a 2021 Limited Night Edition, gray in color.
@@cisnerosmike You will love it, great truck I get a lot of compliments.
Im about to pull the trigger on a 2021 limited night edition....😅
I have a 2014 Laramie I bought new, but would love that Limited.
How it's running so far after 6 years? I have a f150 but really tempted to trade for a Limited this year...
@@Marc-NZ No issues, other than oil changes and various recalls. One of the brake pads became unglued from the backing plate last year on the highway. Scared the crap out of me when I hit the breaks and the pedal went to the floor. Ended up ruining the rotor. That at was maybe at 25k miles. Replaced the rear pads and rotors at home. About $150-200 worth of parts. That could have been much worse.
I have a question Yesterday I drove my first new gen Ram, are the brakes on all Rams super sensitive?
Yes
Are these spaceships? 😳
Laramie - At least for these two setups. Reason -- I would want the 20 inch rims so I could put better tires on it for actual light duty off road. 22 inch with street tires would get shredded on a trail.
Sandy, Oregon?
A Laramie WITH NO BED LINER 50+ thousand dollar truck. Come on RAM!! Got to do better than that. And no running boards wtf 😬
My thoughts as well. No bed liner or step rails for that price is insane.
I would get the Limited but i would put the 20 in tires on it for a better ride !
Question for ben or any of the dedicated ram guys...does the model that uses etorque also use cylinder deactivation?....or does the etorque models not get that terrible feature?
It does
I’d take the Laramie but with the limited night edition wheels lol
I would pick the Limited simply since I ordered one in August!!
Congrats
Limited. I am buying one today.
I personally don't like night editing. I have south west Laramie edition, fully loaded, has everything shown in Limited, but air suspension. I paid a bit over 50k, would take Limited but max for 55k.
Blacked out Limited. Hey Ben, when do you expect your TRX?
No due date yet
