"I'm not expecting anything extraordinary". That's exactly what I said when Senjutsu released. I was just thrilled to get new Maiden music. And then Harris shifted into MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE.

I think if there's ever a debate whether they are the GOAT of metal or not that debate is only valid on paper because if you make a direct to comparison to any of the other bands coming into mind (Priest, Metallica, few others) IM has outdone all of them. So essentially they are the GOATs. Can't have more recognition than that.

For sure this is fast becoming one of my favourite songs of all time.... Love listening to it on full blast while driving in my car🤘🤘🤘 Up the Irons🤘🤘🤘
My favorite song from the album is "Darkest Hour" but this one is a very close second. I've only been a Maiden fan for a few years now so this was my first chance to get to experience a new album with everyone else. It's been a great joy listening to the music myself and reading about or watching other people enjoy it too. Maiden fans are just the greatest group of people.
Doesn't take a genius to understand that this album is, arguably, the masterpiece of the latest 15 -20 years from Iron Maiden. Not, "heavy metal" goes beyond genre definition. So many gems in these tracks. Every piece is "music as cinema for your ears". I still cannot make up my mind between Hell on Earth and The Parchments (the central instrumental part of The Parchment is divine) and very close to them : Stratego- SenJutsu, Death of the Celts... operatic - prog - heavy rock at it's top... and listen to Time Machine, Darkest hour, Lost in a lost world.. crazy good stuff and yes I ADORE THOSE THREE GUITARS!
For me, „Hell on Earth“ forms the ultimate Late-Maiden trinity together with „The Red and the Black“ and „Empire of the Clouds“. „Hell on Earth“ in particular is standout as it sounds like a very mature and epic version of their early works: that beautiful „Fear of the Dark“-esque intro and outro, the song progression and beltering of „Hallowed be thy name“ and the fullness of guitar work that reminds me a little of their Somewhere in Time days. Its a lovely song and if it is their last, then its an absolute worthy one! Cant wait to hear it live!
2:44 I got goose bumps too. "Hell on Earth" was the first song (i think) I listened to from the new album and I have been listening on it on a loop ever since. This is by far one of my all time favorites. I've been to the "Book of Souls" Tour and I was not so amazed by the concert to be honest, it was my second time at a concert of them, but right after listening to this I checked if they would come back to my country to go to the concert. I like the japanese theme and this song is just a masterpiece.
Honestly one of my favourite Maiden songs already, and your reaction is visceral - I can feel it! I just wish that epic chorus came back a second time!
Truly stunning closer to what could be their last album. How they've been doing this for over 40 years and still come up with some of the greatest music defies belief. What a band and what a legacy.
I honestly feel like they want to release one more album. This is not the album to close this phenomanal band. Of course, it's their age and health that may hold them back. Having heard how they recorded this album, there is still so much creative juice flowing. I hope for a Writing session during the Senjutsu World Tour, one more release, and end their phenomanal career with one more best of tour. A man can hope
I believe they will announce that an album is their last when it comes (unless something happens with one of the members). That's more in line with their character as a band.
I can’t get enough of their music. Love this song! They are so talented. I too get chills in the intro, and love Steve’s gallop. It’s amazing what they do for our spirits.
This is legendary. I fell in love with Maiden in '88, with "seventh son..", and then redescovered them back in time. This son is just.... legendary good. I have no other words.
I have to say I just about had tears coming down at the end of this song. It hit me just right (after some good ale of course). It's an amazing epic track. Showcases the musicianship of a veteran band at it's finest. Perfect use of Dickinson's modern vocals. Honestly, it's the shortest 11 minutes of metal I can remember. A stunning crescendo to their career (so far!).
@@drybowser681 In the live setting it is hit or miss with Bruce. He has great nights, good nights and nights were he is sick (cold) when he has to "cheat" around the high notes.

Grande Pierre! Uno dei migliori brani del disco a mio avviso, insieme a The Writing on the Wall, Darkest Hour e Lost in a Lost World.
