Field is Lava absolutely killed me! Other than that, pretty comprehensive film. He's pretty decent. I can see him at best as a second tier QB in the NFL, averaging maybe 3500-3800 yards per year with the ability to win games and read defenses, as well as attacking the middle of the field. That intermediate skill is very important in the NFL, as that will carve up a defense if the Panthers can successfully supplement that scheme with a run game. A lot definitely did not go Bryce's way, and due to a certain owner's inexperience and arrogance, I figured we shouldn't grill him year 1.

Tbh Brees is 40 pounds heavier and 4 inches taller if you don’t count BYs hair and a rocket for an arm.. only 1 out of 10 thousand QBs under 6ft has won a Super Bowl… Would you bet on those odds?
One thing I've been noodling on in the offseason: I feel like a lot of his "arm strength" troubles are essentially mislabeled stance issues. He can't blast it downfield when he's on the run because for him to get any mustard on 30+ yard throws, he has to use body mechanics (hips, motion) that he couldn't when the OL was breaking down in front of him. So a better OL might see him attack >25yd throws more next year, but only when designed?
I'm a dolphins fan and I watched the panthers play us last year. Bryce is a quicker, more durable Tua. He just needs an offensive line and really good receivers. Given that the panthers stole our best lineman (rob hunt) and drafted leggette who I know the dolphins were interested in, I think Bryce will be just fine.

For real. Some dude made it a highlight video of Bryce last season in the thing literally included a bunch of dropped and poorly thrown passes in order to make a video more than like a minute. And now the excuse I’m seeing is that a quarterback can’t play with sound of mechanics if offensive line isn’t good. I’ve never seen so many excuses made for a number one overall pick
Bryce did not show flashes in a meaningful way relative to his price tag. Bryce has a nice collection of throws from this year that are "starting quarterback" level you're right, but there was practically zero plays that showed he was worth a #1 overall pick plus next years first overall, plus 2 seconds, plus DJ Moore. The flash you would see from a player on that level would be unmistakable. People are obviously talking about two different types of flashes, the talent level I've seen so far from Bryce is not first round, I would consider taking him around mid to second round if a redraft happened today. If you're only looking for plays that prove he knows how to play football - well we already knew that, his college career spoke for itself. At this level and pricetag you are looking for someone who transforms a franchise
For real. All this talk about him making a big jump next year is fine and dandy, but this dude is the textbook definition of a low ceiling quarterback. I just do not see number one overall arm talent there regardless of how much time he had to throw or how open his receivers were/weren’t. There’s a reason why he didn’t want to throw at the combine while having to stand next to Anthony Richardson, CJ Stroud, and Will Levis
It’s never a good sign when a former number one overall pick has to have all these excuses made for him. Nobody thought CJ Stroud’s supporting cast was any good until the history revision started happening about halfway through the season when he was tearing it up

You really need to show the down and time please . Alot of these sacks you are blaming on Bryce have way more context. Like the "sam howell" sack it was 3rd and 8 with 12 minutes left in the game down by 19. They have to make a play there, cant throw it away. Bryce led the leage in throwaway passes by double digits. Throwaways- 1st (46) (2nd howell with 32) Scrambles- 10th (29) He is now 6th in NFL history with most sacked qb in a season wirh 62 (Howell is also 3rd in history after this season) imagine if he actually was bad at at causing sacks as you say. the bad plays are there absolutely. But the bad plays youre showing or bad skills he had last year are misleading. Context matters. Show the down and time please. Also don't forget to mention he had his playcaller changed 3 times, his HC and QB coach fired mid season, and all around horrible coaching staff.
Not to take away from the video. It was a really good and overall fair videom. You made fair points and actually brought in stats to back up what you were saying. And very well edited and detailed.
Not everyone is gonna be like Cam Newton 6’5 250 and able to stiff arm d linemen he’s more like a drew Bree’s short and just needs to work on the accuracy and plus his receivers was terrible
Can you do a film review for Trevor Lawrence? Note that his oc was mid, bad offensive line, Kirk got hurt in week 13, he had no realreceivers that could stretch the field, AND he was playing through injuries
I haven't liked BY since we drafted him. He wasn't actually great in college and you can tell that because he was surrounded by nothing but 4/5 stars so he looked better than he was. His arm strength is laughable as you can clearly see he has to put a lot of effort into getting it even past 30 yards. His height is an issue as well since everyone on both lines are 4-8in taller than him. The only good lineman last year was Moton and everyone else was shit. I like both G we got, but they will only be able to do so much with a guy who is inaccurate past 20 yards and can't see the defense unless the teams are set on the line. I want him to do great, but he won't. No matter what team you put him on. He can't make the plays that matter and we'll see the same stuff we did last year, but with some improvement because of the oline.
You’re being far too complimentary. There’s not much to like. Hes far too small, like from a play strength standpoint he’s always in backpedal/retreat mode(4 EPA?)because he can’t step into throws and take hits. He can’t be played under center which eliminates all the most efficient goal line plays. His “touch” throws are at full strength. He lacks the necessary arm strength to drive the ball outside the numbers. He doesn’t see things clearly. His backpedal is too slow and he’s never in throwing position, he flips his hips before throwing, he plays with no urgency, line and receivers weren’t confident in him, he didn’t raise their play. Too many game management type errors to ever count. All sorts of major red flags he won’t ever work.
@@omartillman3906 there’s an old saying “the QB needs to be the toughest guy on your team”. Good QBs take a beating making throws happen. His body isn’t built for it.

Bro you must’ve not watched every snap he should have been sacked way more had he not been able to be elusive. He’s just not fast but he has good short space speed . He will never be a Lamar but he can be a Russel

@@dmcmac9619 Actually we were the #9 worst team when we drafted him. Texans were the #2 worst team and we see how that went. The bears were the real worst team and they went 7-10 with a QB they traded away lmao Keep listening to the ra ra panther media and their excuses lol
One thing u cant say is he aint tough because he drilled All season i didnt think he was gonna make it bit u see if u give him some time he can pick the defense apart
You forgot a huge reason Bryce Young was bad year and thats mechanics. Alot of throws it seems like hes falling over to deliver the throw and his Drop back is WAAAY too slow
It’s hard to have mechanics when linemen are coming through untouched every play
@@Theshopowner I don't think it's fair to blame his mechanics on the lineman. There are plenty of examples of him doing these things without pressure. Especially his drop back
people have to actually get open quickly for a faster drop back to matter anyways
@@tylerbrown4074 Their were opportunities to get the ball to a receiver but he took too long
@@maskedman5657 bro… rewatch the cowboys game lol…. I think hes genuinely surprised when theres no rush off the snap and isnt prepared to actually make a play its so rare
Purdy is the player people want Bryce to be but Purdy was the last pick in the draft so he’s called a system qb.
deonte banks breakdown??
You really need to show the down and time please . Alot of these sacks you are blaming on Bryce have way more context. Like the "sam howell" sack it was 3rd and 8 with 12 minutes left in the game down by 19. They have to make a play there, cant throw it away. Bryce led the leage in throwaway passes by double digits.
Throwaways- 1st (46) (2nd howell with 32)
Scrambles- 10th (29)
He is now 6th in NFL history with most sacked qb in a season wirh 62 (Howell is also 3rd in history after this season) imagine if he actually was bad at at causing sacks as you say. the bad plays are there absolutely.
Can you make a video about Will Levis
Need another film breakdown on Bryce quick. Bryce stans on life support, need copium and hopium urgently! 🤣😂
Sam Howell please!
Hes not the problem.
His o-line and weapons are
I haven't liked BY since we drafted him.
You're wrong on all of that
As a panthers fan you told no lies
@@omartillman3906 there’s an old saying “the QB needs to be the toughest guy on your team”. Good QBs take a beating making throws happen. His body isn’t built for it.
@@_GloryHolzbro you can’t sneeze on a qb these days. He will be fine
He took a beating the entire year and only missed one game. Meanwhile physical specimen Anthony Richardson missed the majority of the season. Enough with the tired narratives 🥱
Bryce is going to redefine what a top QB is"supposed" to look like and having teams trying to find the next.
Top ten defense bottom thirty offense ain’t his fault
bryce will be better then cj stroud just wait for our team to come together
Theilin was the offense Bryce ain’t get him receivers
Can’t coach size. If you are going to be his size as an NFL QB you better have the speed and elusiveness of a Kyler, Lamar, Jalen or the escapability of a Manziel at A&M
Bro you must’ve not watched every snap he should have been sacked way more had he not been able to be elusive. He’s just not fast but he has good short space speed . He will never be a Lamar but he can be a Russel
he needs to get in the gym and increase the arm power
He gota play madden and take them dump offs
Man stop comparing young to Stroud, two totally different situations,
You forgot that he has zero pocket awareness and got himself sacked half the time by leaving the pocket and walking right in to defenders. A majority of these plays you show are in garbage time against soft defenses. As a Panther fan, he isnt good. Put him on the 9ers and he still sucks
He had to walk into defenders because the other side was busted through by the time he could start his reads
Lolll
Why are you doing film break down from 2023 season there’s nothing to study with the team he had .you really wasted a video bro
