Great video. Experts like Palmer see things that fans can’t even grasp until they’re pointed out for us. My rhetorical question is whether Bryce is stuck running recycled timing plays that don’t fit his size, steps & receivers’ steps & need to be adjusted plus whether the routes need to be adjusted as well. Bryce deserves an offense with every attention to detail that develops him instead of giving him plays that worked for another QB after 10 years of experience. It seems like receivers are well covered when it’s time to throw & no allowances are made for lack of pass pro.
I could sum up the offense as "square peg, round hole" None of the playcalls or blocking schemes seemed to fit the players and it never got into a Rhythm
Fantastic breakdown. I'm showing this video to all the Panther fans that doubt Bryce.. If Stroud didnt have the best season for a rookie QB ever then the noise wouldnt be as loud.
I think if the fan base wasn't so divided on Young and Stroud, the noise would of also been muted. As I lived thru the season it felt like Stroud should of been the #1 pick and Bryce should of been a 5th rounder at best. After the season you realize Stroud was in a much better situation at every level from teammates, to coaching, and organization. Houston has done and is still doing everything right for Stroud. Bryce however is a year behind because he's just now getting what he needed from his organization. Kudos to Morgan for putting some talent around him and showing he has a plan and laying a foundation. I hope we can get Gilmore signed before the draft and grab a few building blocks for the future to complete what has been an A+ off-season so far.

I am snatching up Bryce Young cards as Canales doesn't throw a lot deep...but he makes great improvements to QBs. I don't think Bryce will ever be an All Pro...but it should make me a lot of money in the coming year.
Let’s see how he bounces back from being benched and watching Dalton put up 300 yards and 3 touchdowns and no interceptions. Dalton isn’t top tier, but he’s a competent veteran, like Young should have been able to learn behind for a season (give or take half a season).
Not only would Bob Bratkowski not have called a naked to the off hand side, but in that situation, backed up, he would've called a TE screen. I don't know why I remember that tendency, but here it is.
When your head coach is telling Stroud he's his guy but the owner takes Bryce instead, you kinda knew this was going sideways. I fully believe if Bryce had landed in Houston, it would have looked different but he would have been just as dynamic. People don't realize how talented that team is.
He literally had a 33 year old as his number 1. No knock on Adam Theilen but he isn't a true number 1 at his age. Diontae is going to be a huge help and the WR they pick should help get separation. I've never seen a team worse at getting separation then the Panthers last year.
the 31st pick is good enough for a decent receiver. if keon coleman drops that’s great but if he doesn’t we still have athletes like troy hill, xavier legette, and AD mitchell availabl.
their new HC is Dave Canales, the former WR coach of legend UDFAs like Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse, I'm sure they'll make it work without any first round picks
Bryce fans tickle me. They always have excuses and will continue to make excuses for him when his arm talent is below average, he has no pocket awareness, he is a slow runner, and he is too short to see over his lineman. These are things that don't get better. So I hope this fool makes a video of Bryce being benched and how well the backup does compared to Bryce.

It doesn't matter if we name a team with worse weapons, because people will still defend Bryce. The question is will he live up to the #1 overall picks status and if he doesn't will you pay him the huge contract that he will require at the end of his rookie deal?
That’s just cj being humble he knows he’s the man. That being said yall so quick to call Bryce a bust like he didn’t have the worst roster in the nfl dude has dominated at every level so far
I think he'll end up in Miami, traded after this season. Instead of paying Tua monster money, Miami will play out his 5th year and move on unless he wins a couple playoff games. McDaniel's system and our offensive roster are a perfect fit for Bryce.

It was just a given that the 2 guys in charge of the offense were the 2 worst possible coaches for a young QB. Not to mention he was surrounded by the least amount of talent in the NFL by a mile. Hopefully when Bryce is released in year 4 or 5 he can get to a team that will help he reach his potential.
How can you make a video about a year 2 trajectory before any free agency moves or make a video before the draft. Even after free agency, we’re still going 0-17 this upcoming year. Your video is 2 weeks early my friend
Nah, NFC south champs. The boys in the office been cooking. And for a more reasonable take, last year was uniquely bad, like the fact they won last year at all is beyond wild. This year with a coaching staff that is actually cohesive, more adept at working with a QB like Bryce, and with o-line improvements (TBD) they may not win it all, but there should be marked improvement
I’ve watched CJ Stroud and Bryce Young play and no way can Young be as accurate or poised like Stroud is in a tight pocket. His height alone is tough enough seeing over lineman. He will continue to scramble around which worked in college but not so much in the pros. I see him being mediocre at best.
Tepper needs to leave fb affairs to the ppl he's hired to do fb things Since he bought the Panthers Tepper has been in "win now mode" & that's whts killing the franchise
I thought Bryce played outstanding vs my packers. It was obvious that he was getting through his reads and buying time in the structure of the offense. To me hes better than Kyler, and will definitely pass Baker in due time.
Bryce Young has not demenstrated the arm strength to consistently complete deep passes outside the numbers in the NFL He has sloppy footwork and throwing mechanics doesn't react well to pressure and he needs to learn the difference between being open in the SEC and being open in the NFL
He’s actually over thrown most of his deep balls. So I’m not sure what your arm strength comment is about. His throwing mechanics have been just fine. Footwork was shaky because he was sacked over 60 times and hit like 150 times. You saying he needs to understand nfl open compared to college is like lwk funny considering the route concepts on his film and how 2 steps back in his drop he’d already have a guy in his face while 2 WRs were on 20 yard curls. Horrible situation horrible play calling.
@@Bunchonly the numbers support my statement about his inability to complete deep passes so I will leave it at that... I certainly do agree with you that the play calling and offensive line were horrible...As for his throwing mechanics he has a tendency to stand with his shoulders square to the line of scrimmage and he has to turn his shoulders before he can make certain throws, John Elway used to do the same thing but he has a better arm to compensate... Dave Caneles is the right coach to get the most out of Bryce so hopefully in the next year or two Young will play less like Teddy Bridgewater and more like Drew Brees
There was a reason he didn't throw at the combine. He didn't want to be compare to those 2 monsters , Stroud and Richardson. He would like like a child next to them.😂😂😂😂 His strengths were supposed to be cerebral " super processor"😂 Stroud was supposed to be the one with the processing issues.
Bryce was the right pick and people will see that this year now that he isnt surrounded by complete incompetence. He is the second best prospect in the last 3 years behind only Caleb Williams.
So tired of hearing the no help argument. Literally every WRs numbers went down from the previous year with him at QB this year. Dalton came in and threw for like 300 yards 😂 Did Young even eclipse 200 yards in a game? Guy is horrible. Was overrated coming out of Bama.
@@lleytonelliott8786Mark my words. Bryce will be better than stroud. Stroud had a better o-line and better run game to protect him. He also had more stability in the locker room. Steoud was more pro ready and had a higher floor with a lower ceiling. Bryce has a lower floor with a dramatically higher ceiling. Let me ask you would you rather have jared goff or russel wilson. In there primes.
Did you watch the games or just pick a few plays from the highlights? I watched all season an it was bad. He's not the only problem but he is definitely not the answer. Dalton in 1game threw for season high yards and touchdowns with the same team. Blaming everyone else is getting played out and there is NFL open Players almost every play
Funny thing is those nfl open players were definitely tracked during the year as being less open (meaning separation) than all the other nfl open payers.
Im tired of hearing "we cant judge him until......" 😂 Why tf not? If your watching tape i highly suggest you watch the game tape against the vikings. @@kyrecetv3923 nah, you can keep listening to the media tell you how smart he (Bryce) is and I'll keep watching the tape. THERE ARE GUYS OPEN ALMOST EVERY PLAY.
@@ILUVsSUNDROP hope you right
dude got put in the worst situation in nfl
The panthers need to trade for Justin Fields!😁
I’ve watched CJ Stroud and Bryce Young play and no way can Young be as accurate or poised like Stroud is in a tight pocket. His height alone is tough enough seeing over lineman. He will continue to scramble around which worked in college but not so much in the pros. I see him being mediocre at best.
Tepper needs to leave fb affairs to the ppl he's hired to do fb things
Since he bought the Panthers Tepper has been in "win now mode" & that's whts killing the franchise
But who was Bryce Young throwing the ball to? I wouldn’t call any of them guys elite
Who was he throwing to? The opposing defense.
I thought Bryce played outstanding vs my packers. It was obvious that he was getting through his reads and buying time in the structure of the offense. To me hes better than Kyler, and will definitely pass Baker in due time.
That was the first time all year that Bryce had more then 2 seconds without getting swallowed.
His team is the problem ngl
BY being 5’10” and 184 lbs is the problem.
Bryce Young has not demenstrated the arm strength to consistently complete deep passes outside the numbers in the NFL
He has sloppy footwork and throwing mechanics doesn't react well to pressure and he needs to learn the difference between being open in the SEC and being open in the NFL
@@bobbyledoux1193"the numbers" but not the film
@@vknight7497 Name 3 starting QBs with less arm strength than Bryce Young 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Take as long as you need
There was a reason he didn't throw at the combine. He didn't want to be compare to those 2 monsters , Stroud and Richardson.
He would like like a child next to them.😂😂😂😂
His strengths were supposed to be cerebral " super processor"😂
Stroud was supposed to be the one with the processing issues.
Dalton attempted 60 passes against a terrible pass defense. Watch the games not the box scores dude
@@lleytonelliott8786 I watched enough Bryce had probably the worst rookie QB season ever. Because he’s terrible
He had 320 in 2 separate ganes
@@joshuamorrisjr892 no he didn’t lmao. He had 312 ONCE

But who was Bryce Young throwing the ball to? I wouldn’t call any of them guys elite and the whole line was horrible
Bryce is a bust. Maybe if he went somewhere else, he wouldn't be. No worries, though, it always takes a few years for some people to catch on.
The pressures up the middle don't help either. The injuries and rotation at guard was ridiculous
@@89dhand so you think it a coincidence that every skill player on the team (3 former pro bowlers and a 1st rd TE) had their worst seasons ever?
@@89dhandCrazy how Dalton played in 1 game with the same team and diced the defense up for season highs in touchdowns and yards
@jefferythompson3235 stick to watching "goddess energy". Football isn't for you.
We got a dude in Carolina...2023 was hard to see it but haters just wait be patient 😂
I believe!
Yes we should judge him … I don’t want to hear it … he must split some of his signing bonus with Saban … 🤦🏿
Make a video of the wrong and see how long the video will be. You piont out all the wrong from the other players so make it fair.
Nope
Im tired of hearing "we cant judge him until......" 😂 Why tf not? If your watching tape i highly suggest you watch the game tape against the vikings. Chark and mingo blew the top off the defense 5 times and bryce didnt even look at them or attempt the throw at all lol people always want to talk about everyone else on the team and "bryce is a genius" blah blah blah. No deep ball in the nfl=bust
And what about the other games dawg, these guys can barley find any seperation and even if they do hes already getting rush cause of the terrible oline. Even if he was good he would still be set up to fail with this team 💀
Sure he has bad plays but what choice does he have. Stroud has tank dell, who does bryce have, adam theiland 💀
@@kyrecetv3923 nah, you can keep listening to the media tell you how smart he (Bryce) is and I'll keep watching the tape. THERE ARE GUYS OPEN ALMOST EVERY PLAY. The top of Bryce's drop is different every time he drops back, so he's not set and ready to throw the ball when the route is breaking (reich's whole system was literally designed for a smart QB that can anticipate which is what Bryce was supposed to do well).......watch the film and use your head
Are you a panthers fan ? Cause I’m not sure what guys you are stating to be consistently open. Bryce literally had Thielen on pace for a career year. This isn’t madden, shit will affect a QB because they are people. So it’s not an excuse to say, he had the 31st ranked Oline and the 31st WR core last year. To say that is on any QB lets me know you don’t know ball. Bryce has shit he needs to work on but he is a rookie, what’s all of those other guys excuse ?
@@jalanherbin6126 well for starters Mingo and zavala were also rookies? Saying the oline and wr's stats aren't directly connected to QB play while also trying to say idk football is wild lmao if the QB doesn't get the ball to a receiver, they don't get a catch.....? If the QB holds the ball through all his reads and simply refuses to do anything but hold it, he's going to take a sack lmao like it's super simple
As a Panthers fan nvr wanted BY
Can’t wait to see Bryce young play terrible so people can stop making excuses for him. He lacks the competitiveness to lead a team 🫴🏻
