I would think if you feel convicted that you’ve done this blasphemy then that’s proof you haven’t because the heart that does this blasphemy is incapable of feeling convicted by it since it’s so defiant.
Matthew 12:31-32 can only be defined by context and other scriptures. 1 John 5:16-17 is a parallel passage. 1 John 5:16-19 "If anyone becomes aware of his brother having committed a sin not unto death (Numbers 15:28-31 - unaware sin), they shall ask God for forgiveness and God will give life unto those that commit a sin not unto death. There is a sin that is unto death, for such, I do not say that you should pray for it! (Numbers 15:28-31; James 5:20, Hebrews 10:26-29; Matthew 18:15; Psalm 19:12-13) All wickedness is sin, but there is a type of sin not unto death (unaware sin - Psalm 32:2). We know that whoever is regenerated of God does not choose to commit sin, because he that is regenerated by God guards himself and the devil does not corrupt him. (1 John 3:3; 1 Corinthians 10:13; Romans 6:16; Psalm 19:12-13) By this we truly know that we are of God, though the majority of the world lives in wickedness (sin). Jesus and John both knew the Old Testament and were referring to a scripture from Numbers. Numbers 15:28-31 "“When one commits a sin in ignorance before the Lord, atonement shall be made and it shall be forgiven unto him. Sin unto death is defiance or willful sin. (Hebrews 10:26-29) Sin committed in ignorance can be forgiven. This includes all sin that had been committed before a true conversion and having received the Holy Spirit. @@lilynorris5230I was in the same situation, I pushed the Holy Spirit and it came to a point in my testimony where just a few months ago it led me to be saved. But before that I remember clearly as I was getting closer to the lord but still remaining in my flesh desires and when I tried to pray, it was a disciplinary answer. I didn’t know what the unforgivable sin was before but when I got saved and started learning about this sin, all sin was forgiven. Thinking and looking back, the spirit convicts me to not do it again because I do now hold the knowledge of what it is, thus having no excuse

I particularly value the line "cannot be duplicated today". When I was a new Christian, I had I nagging memory of when I was a non-believer, I had been pressured to go to a revival at a VERY charismatic holiness pentacostal church. Had a bad experience & heard talk of a strange Baptism taking place. This event caused me to walk away from the faith for years into lukewarm, nearly non belief. The memory that was nagging however is how I handled and discussed the event. I said all kind of terrible things about this revival, that church, that baptism etc. Again this was years ago~ I was worried sick I had committed blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.. it wasn't until much Christian growth that I realized that worry was silly. Anyways, long story I just appreciate you all, and wish I would have seen this *then* but glad someone in that position *has* because of your platform & reach. Unless you’re literally seeing Jesus do a miracle right before your very eyes AND THEN blaspheme Him, you should be worried. Theres a difference between ignorant sin and meditating on something like that and then willingly ascribing it to the works of the devil. God knows our hearts and if you’re genuinely worried about this or your salvation, then you have nothing to worry about. Your heart is still softened and there is forgiveness in Jesus.
When the Pastor of my Church was saying that there’s no forgiveness of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, out of no where I was imagining cussing the Holy Spirit yet i didn’t do it by mouth…i pray God had mercy on me! I don’t wanna go to Hell

I often think I have blasphemed and it scares me beyond belief. I am in a very rocky state in my faith and have often lashed out on anger, not towards God but to myself and sometimes think me praying in anger has caused blasphemy

I am also very terrified that I have committed this sin. I have only been a believer since 2016(age 26), but prior to that I was a Agnostic(despite growing up in church) and very anti-religion. I remember thinking about Jesus and wondering about his miracles and was wondering how he did them and even wondered if it had happened(this was before I was saved) and had different ideas about it. I also made fun of Jesus, Christians, and the Bible. Now that I do believe, it is something I feel horrible about and have asked God's forgiveness Several times. I also constantly praise him and share Bibke verses to make up for the times I blasphemed. I still feel guilt over it.
Ask forgiveness and accept his forgiveness. Blasphemy against Jesus is forgivable and you didn't know better. Rejoice and thank him that you are forgiven!
I had lived with the fear of commiting this sin for almost 15 years, but know that God is not unfair and unjust. I had even developped an OCD about it, i was even afraid of mentionning the Holy Spirit. But I cried out to God, and many times He responded me, but i didn't have enough faith for realizing it that many times He gave me the answer. For sure, what Jesus said is really scary. But that sin is not simple as it looks. If it was that simple, satan just has to make people commiting that sin to make them lose heaven. But look at this verse in 1 John 1:9 "9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." It is said ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, no matter what you've had comitted. People who sins against the Holy Spirit don't even have the feel to ask for forgiveness. Remember that by works (meaning doing things to earn God’s favor )you are not saved but by faith in Christ (God in the Flesh) you are saved. I’m in the same boat as you in terms of thinking I committed this sin. Worrying is not the spirit of a believer . We have to deny the devils lie and know that jesus knows our hearts and knows every hair on our hands and knows our heart . There is nothing we can physically do to make God want to bring us into heaven except accepts Christ as Lord , spreading the gospel , helping others and treating others like Christ would and repenting of our sins .
Some months ago I said "many of most examples of faith healings are of the devil". When i said that, I had in mind the many dramatic "healings" of TV evangelists as well as more pagan oriented healings, and at the time I viewed healings mediated by the Blessed mother in that category. My thought/point was that the devil could reward someone who is on the wrong path in order to trick them into staying on the wrong path. I certainly experienced that when i was on the wrong path. I absolutely believe in Jesus Christ and that there are legitimate faith healings. But after learning of the unforgivable sin, I'm worried that i have blasphemed the Holy Spirit and I'm am terrified.
You have not commited the sin, although if Jesus was here in it would be unforgivable, but since you are terrified, you have not Blasphemed the Holy Spirit. He will forgive you don't worry :) It is impossible to commit it today.
You need only apply Jesus' words to the Pharisees in this passage as being ONLY to that particular group at that point. Don't worry! I made the same "mistake" as you and I am still being patiently led by God. It's always ok to question supernatural experiences and exercise discernment. Jesus was simply condemning the Pharisees at that particular moment in time, and it isn't a sin we are capable of committing. Peace. 🙏
The way I've interpreted it is wilful disbelief in Christ as our savior. As Jesus said, "The only way to the Father is by me." Which makes sense, if you choose to not believe Christ will save us, then you are blaspheming the Holy Spirit. And you will not enter his Kingdom.
Well, the Bible talks about satan having limited power to perform those miracles and trick people. Jesus knows the intent of your heart even better than you do, so would know exactly where you are coming from. If you haven't already done it, have a serious talk with Him about it, and know nothing can snatch you from God's hands if you refuse to be snatched, there is plenty of Scripture to back that up. then, remember where fear comes from, it isn't God. I continue to disagree with this. Why do people continue to say blaspheming the Holy Spirit is rejection of Jesus when Jesus says, specifically you can speak a word against him, and it shall be forgiven. I believe we have a hard time understanding is because of fear, and so much fear makes us overthink we panic. Atleast for me. What does it mean to speak against?
because the Holy Spirit is not a second Son of God. The Spirit is not the Christ. For blasphemy against the Holy Spirit you need to essentially say there is disagreement in the Trinity, because you would need to have the Holy Spirit and say the Jesus in Person that his actions are against the will of the Father.

I once new someone who attended a Christian School I went to, he was an atheist, I tried to get him to Accept Jesus, but he refused to except Jesus as his savior, he told me that h would burn any Bible that was given to him, I am a Mormon, I recently renewed my faith when my family parted away from the church and refused to go back, May Jesus bless all of those who are willing to seek Jesus as their savior
I used to say that bible is bullshit. I laughed at people who goes to church. I cursed God. I was an atheist and my life was a mess back then. I repented. Im a solid christian now. I believe in the Holy spirit. My Faith has become stronger than ever. I have surrendered everything to God.. I left my parents long time ago due to conflicts, Im all alone now and God has been with me all through out my struggles and my journey. He guides me all the way. God has given me so much blessings since then..once you experienced the love of God, theres no turning back.

Reading the verses in The Gospel of John Jesus talks about his Helper and Advocate that The Father wil send in His Name. I definitely don't "know" what I think the blasphemy could be knowing about Christianity, been drawn to Jesus, believing but still living with Him far from your thoughts and not committing yourself to Our Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Having faith but not being faithful with your mind, heart and actions consistently. What you are talking about - unwanted thoughts - is a common problem among believers. So you are not alone even if you think that you were alone. These thoughts can come up when you are afraid of committing the unforgivable sin and they lose their power when you lose this anxiety. The bible says that you are going to heaven if you have faith in Jesus (John 3 16 and John 6 47). So, what to do now? It's likely that watching thousands of videos about this topic wouldn't help you. It could help you for a while but then you become anxious again and you need further videos. You have to understand this: These thoughts will definitely pop up in your mind when you try not to have them. Why do you try not to have them? Because you think that they would bring you to hell. But the truth is found in John 3 16 and John 6 47.
BTW: I experienced a very similar situation. I read Matthew 12 and thought that if I had a thought that would say something bad about the Spirit, I would go to hell and had no hope. Then I thought, that if I would only think it, it was okay, but if I would speak it, I would go to hell. I even dreamed of it. It was very terrifying. But now I can say that I am not afraid of it anymore. I have experienced that God is still with me. John 3 16 is true! Don't think that you are hopeless. There is definitely hope for you. I am not a theologist so don't take it as a sermon or something like that. I'm just someone who went through a tough time and now tries to help other people.

It would seem that just by virtue of the fact you don't want to blaspheme should help you to not do so, and trust God to help our understanding not to do so. Sin is willful disobedience, and God's Word encourages seeking wisdom and getting knowledge. He doesn't want us to live on a razor's edge, but to live in confidence He will keep us as we continue to read the Bible and seek him. My favorite verses are in Proverbs 3:5-6. (from the Amplified), Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways, know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct, and make straight and plain your paths.
QUESTION : What is the unforgivable sin? ANSWER : Would you believe it’s BLASPHEMY? Insulting the invisible guy in the sky or making jokes about him, apparently you can commit the most heinous crimes against humanity including mass murder, rape, incest and theft but if you convince God that you’re genuinely sorry and promise him that you’ve embraced his doctrine you’ll be forgiven and permitted to live in bliss in his magical fairyland after your death here on Earth. But if you commit the sin of blasphemy you’ll spend eternity being burnt and tortured in Hell regardless of how good and altruistic you have been during your life or how sorry you are to have blasphemed against him at different points of your life, you’ll never be forgiven. If we are judged by our actions, then we would all go to Hell because not one of us is righteous and able to make it into Heaven ourselves. This is why Jesus came to earth, was killed, buried, and then rose again. God is a just god, meaning that he is going to punish those who justly deserve it, which is all of us. The rules that God set out must be upheld and if they are not, the offender must take responsibility. However, we humans cannot uphold them. Just try to be utterly perfect for a day. No mean thoughts, no cursing, no ignoring homeless people on the side of the street, no griping at friends or family members. It's impossible. We can't do it. Only God can. God knows this, and so He sent himself as His son, Jesus, to come pay the price for our evil actions. Because Jesus is God, and because God cannot sin (it is against His nature), He is perfect. Only someone who is perfect could freely choose to take the consequences of our actions. This shows God to be a merciful god too because he gave us a way out of our predicament while still upholding the law. So, when Jesus died on the cross, He was taking the consequences of our actions on himself. The same when he went to Hell for 3 days. Then, He rose from the grave, showing that He has more power than Satan, and showing that He has defeated death (meaning we have the chance to go to Heaven), and reversed our punishment. Jesus himself said, "...so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him." - John 3:14 and 15. This means that those who believe that Jesus paid for their sins, and was qualified to do so because He is God, will go to Heaven. This is all to say that, Jesus himself said that yes! It is that easy! You just have to be sorry for what you've done and try to stop doing evil (repent) and believe in what He did for you (aka. have faith). That's it. No more. The end. If you believe this, then you can go to Heaven without being perfect because Jesus paid for the consequences of our sin already. I'm not going to address the Trinity in depth because I don't understand enough about it to truthfully telly you. However, the basic gist is that God is 3 persons in 1 being. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus talks about the Holy Spirit and implies the trinity by saying "the father" in John 14:26 and John 15:26 in the NIV translation of the Bible if you would like to look it up.

I think you misunderstood. He said anyone who blasphemes against the Son of Man will be forgiven. So, in this context Jesus does not need to be here on Earth. In this case, I believe, that anyone who attributes true works of the Holy Spirit to the devil even in our age or the age to come will be held accountable before the Almighty God.
I too fear that I have committed this sin as a Christian. I even asked God to take my life & send me to hell since there's nothing I'm living for but here I am still alive & loving Him 🤷🏾♂️
Can you please explain what exactly makes you thinking that you committed it? If you have faith in Jesus, you are going to heaven (John 3 16 and John 6 47). I felt very guilty afterwards as I never intended to curse at the Spirit of God. I've asked God earnestly to take my life if indeed this is blaspheming the Holy Spirit as I would have nothing else to live for having committed the unforgivable sin yet since then & being alive still, this weight has been off my spirit & I've been continuing in faith.

If the only unforgivable sin is blaspheming the Holy ghost, then everyone eventually going to hell has done so. Many of these preachers are doing the same thing the pharisees and sadducees did to Jesus every Sunday. These same people are still atributing the works of God to the devil, because they don't have the spirit of God in their own life.

I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous but I feel awful because someone commented something about the “Holy Ghost” and I didn’t not realize that meant the Holy Spirit. I said there is no Holy Ghost, it’s the Holy Spirit. Like 5 seconds later I realized it’s the same name. Some people just use Holy Ghost. I felt a huge sinking in my chest and prayed to God asking for forgiveness and telling him it was a lapse in realization and I didn’t realize we were both speaking about the Holy Spirit. Even though I commented saying It was the Holy Spirit, I still feel terrible and like I committed an awful sin. It may seem ridiculous to someone reading this but I feel terrible about it still. That isn't what Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is. It's the Continued Act of Rejection of the Holy Spirit. Meaning you know God but reject him anyway.
If you look at the scripture and it says not in this age or the age to come. Strong arguments for the cause of dispensation states that this age is the age of when Christ was on earth performing miracles the age to come would be when he returns. Therefore it is believed strongly that this sin can only be committed and it’s fullness when Christ is present on earth. He was here right before the church H and then he will come again to rule again, therefore when Christ is present on earth if someone was to accuse him of what the Pharisees were accusing him of they would be guilty of the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. This is because they had complete proof that Jesus Christ was working with God because he was doing godly things to deny what Christ was doing was blasphemy. Therefore the exact Ness of the sin cannot be recreated in this time. It is not something like a mistaken word or being misled by some heretical teacher. One would have to see the true evidence of Christ and his works and then when they deny that that would be the unpardonable sin.
I am so scared and disappointed in my younger self for committing this sin, I accused the bible being a work of satan and that it could not be trusted. I’m scared that I committed this against God. Because I’ve had been unrepentant and I don’t feel like have a conviction of sin, ultimately seeing sin’s heinousness. I’m really worried for myself now. These past weeks I’ve been questioning Jesus and asking him "why haven’t you healed me yet? I’ve asked my mom "if Jesus is good and powerful why hasn’t he healed me yet?" or I would tell my mom "if you don’t want to keep seeing me suffer and complain to you with what I’m going through than pray for me since you’ve heard Jesus speak to you" the reason I said that to my mom is because I’ve never heard Jesus speak to me so I told my mom to pray because I think that Jesus would hear my moms prayer and because I think Jesus doesn’t hear mines or wants to heal me. My mom told me the things I was saying is blasphemy because I’m questioning Jesus and disrespecting him. In my opinion I personally don’t think myself questioning him and telling my mom to pray to him instead of myself because I feel like he hears my mom and not me. Let's get something straight here. During Jesus's walk the Holy Spirit hadn't been delivered into the world at that time. Blasphemy is actually attributing God's work through the Holy Spirit to the enemy.
John the Baptist was born with the holy spirit in the womb - many of the old testament prophets had the holy spirit not sure how it was different with the born again Christians but they would have known of the holy ghost
Why do we say this sin cannot be committed now? Why do we say that when Jesus didn’t say that? How do we know, that it can’t be committed now? It is a blasphemy against the Spirit. Don’t we believe the Spirit is still present today? Not sure how you can assert this.
Kind of wrong someone can still done the unforgivable sin. Note he said "but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness" nothing in here said there is a timeline. Worst Case Scenario: Matthew 12:32 says this sin won't be forgiven in this age or in the age to come. Ephesians 2:7 says there are at least two ages to come.

That was actually the closest explanation I've heard so far. But there is still more to it. The pharazees traditionally ascribed certain miracles to their messiah. They agreed unanimously that only the Messiah would be able to perform these miracles. Jesus then was the one who performed them - they actually saw Him doing it, but they still ascribed his works to the devil.
There is a scripture in 1st John ch.4 that proves wether or not a person has committed unforgivable sin. It says "every Spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh the same is of God and every Spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God and is of that antichrist of which I have told you it is already in the world" I asked the Lord about it because I was terrified about the subject and He said when the angels sinned they fell from heaven and they died and their DNA devolved into what they had become and they could no longer enter into the corporeal dimension. So they cannot confess Jesus is come in the flesh because the flesh is the corporeal dimension. I confess it Everytime I get nervous. The Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is not Cussing, Adultery, Rejecting, or Bullying the Holy Spirit it is attributing the works of Jesus to the Devil or denying the witness of the Holy Spirit to Jesus works. So it is impossible to commit it, it is possible if Jesus comes back and reigns for 1,000 years.

I dont think Jesus was telling the Pharisees they would not get forgiveness. Jesus is a teacher. He was teaching them and us, a valuable lesson of what blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is, which is any person through spiritual wickedness take on the role of the Holy Spirit, whether through witchcraft or sorcery etc.
The devil does not shoot arrows in a graveyard. If you’re getting blast, missed thoughts, this is because the devil is angry that you have such a trust in Christ Jesus. The unforgivable sin is context, dependent upon Christ, being on earth, performing miracles, then having someone deny it. It is because Jesus is undeniable, and that he is the true son of God, and to blaspheme his miracles the way it describes dead would be unforgivable. He is not on earth now, so the context is not there.
I have blasphemous thoughts from Time to time for the past several years I wanna say 4 or 5 I beg to get rid of them to God and cried many nights I seeked for help many times reached out to my family and christans that came up on Instagram or my TikTok. First of all. As you see in the comments of videos like this, many believers deal with unwanted thoughts. You are not alone. Unwanted thoughts show up, when you are afraid of committing blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and they lose their power as you lose that very fear. So, in order to lose your fear, look at what the bible says: If you have faith in Jesus, you will be in heaven (John 3 16 and John 6 47).
If you have no thoughts of converting and constant push away the Holy Spirit to the point of no return. You are doomed. If you come with a repentant heart and want to follow the way of the Holy Spirit, you are not doomed.
So let me get this straight, if there is a “GOD” then he can forgive you of ALL SINS BUT if you blasphemy against the Holy Spirit he doesn’t? Reading the scripture, I don’t see how what Jesus said should be interpreted to equate specifically the actions of the Pharisees as the only blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. Well it’s the only time when the blasphemy against the holy spirit was applied to an actual situation in the bible, which was the Pharisees situation. Jesus also said that the Pharisees blasphemed the holy spirit because they told Jesus that his spirit was unclean, meaning that they accused him of being demon possessed instead of being spirit filled.
John MacArthur interprets it like this, when Jesus was on earth and the religious leaders saw Jesus perform in the miracle and they said that it was satanic activity, that was the incarnation version of the unpardonable sin. But it could still be repeated today because the holy spirit is out delivering the gospel to people and people are still to this day regarding the gospel as unclean. So many people choose not to accept Jesus as their savior. Therefore those people will be "subject to eternal condemnation"

For this reason, Got Questions and other Baptist pastors interpret this story as the “Only form of blaspheme” possible. Justifying accusing someone speaking in tongues as demon possessed, which is a slippery slope when speaking about an unpardonable sin.
If you are actively working against God, this is blasphemy against the holy spirit. If you are seeking forgiveness and believe in God then odds are you have not committed this sin. People think way too hard on this. A blasphemer of the holy spirit will not be forgiven because they find no power in his works. This is why it says there is no forgiveness, it is a state of Sin and mind rather than a sin itself. These blasphemers do not believe in the Son of God because their minds have become reprobate, they have hardened their hearts and seared their conscience. The very fact that you are worried about this means you are not guilty, the guilty ones will not worry about it. Ask yourself are you seeking God? Or could you care less? If anybody is frightened about the unpardonable sin and they don't know what it means about blaspheming the spirit, they should totally take a look at your explanation. That was really good. 15 months ago when I had no idea what it meant, I felt so scared and horrified that I committed it. I remember just crying and being paralyzed with fear. But then my mom showed me Joseph Prince's book Destined To Reign and it revealed to me that he went through a very similar torment as well. But then he pointed out that the audience whom Jesus was chatting with were the religious leaders, the guys who plotted to kill him on several occasions, not people who accepted him as Savior who are as a matter of fact indwelled in the holy Spirit. Matthew 12:31-32 can only be defined by context and other scriptures. 1 John 5:16-17 is a parallel passage. 1 John 5:16-19 "If anyone becomes aware of his brother having committed a sin not unto death (Numbers 15:28-31 - unaware sin), they shall ask God for forgiveness and God will give life unto those that commit a sin not unto death. There is a sin that is unto death, for such, I do not say that you should pray for it! (Numbers 15:28-31; James 5:20, Hebrews 10:26-29; Matthew 18:15; Psalm 19:12-13) All wickedness is sin, but there is a type of sin not unto death (unaware sin - Psalm 32:2). We know that whoever is regenerated of God does not choose to commit sin, because he that is regenerated by God guards himself and the devil does not corrupt him. (1 John 3:3; 1 Corinthians 10:13; Romans 6:16; Psalm 19:12-13) By this we truly know that we are of God, though the majority of the world lives in wickedness (sin). Jesus and John both knew the Old Testament and were referring to a scripture from Numbers. Im really scared and afraid for what I've done. I dont reject Jesus, i have faith in him and believe in him. But one time when i promised to God, Lord Jesus and to the Holy spirits that I wont lust again. But I lusted and I didnt want to do it. It is already months since I started to get away from lust but this time, after many days, my hormones has gone significantly up and made me feel lust, and I mastrbated because of that. I’ve spend years on my own spiritual path. I’ve gotten deep into non duality and have studied a plethora of religions and worldviews. I just want actual truth. When I read the Bible it’s barbaric. I love love. I love the teachings of love. I love mercy and forgiveness. I love the idea of Jesus. Part of me wishes he is real. But I can’t reconcile that with the ignorance and evil I see when I read the Bible. The Old Testament makes God seem like a monster to me. I just want to figure it out before I die. So.. I am still a bit concerned about something I did before I was saved, I was in a very bad state of life, in a bad stage of my life, I was homeless, living on the street, and I was very angry because although I was not yet saved, and not yet repented, I professed to be a christian, but did not know what it meant to be saved, I was homeless on the streets in winter in Lakewood Colorado, and I became angry with god after repeated prayers and no answers, no help came, no support came, nothing I prayed for came. Well I became angry and I cursed at God, I Cursed at the Holy spirit, and I cursed at the father who is Yahweh. I told them I am sick of praying to no one and I am tired of being here and hearing about them and praying to them and hearing that if I had faith in them I would be spared, pain, torment, anguish and that I would be provided for, and I called them names and blasphemed against them. That was more than 20 years ago, I have since then repented and changed my ways, I have been saved, and born again in Christ, but now with this Bible verse, I still have to wonder if I have the indwelling Holy spirit, and if I have committed an unforgivable sin by doing what I did. It makes me sad to think that even though I have repented, renounced everything, asked for forgiveness and turned to Jesus, I might still not be saved because of something I did this long ago and knew what I was doing at the time, but was so angry I did it anyway. Yes, When he saves you, he forgives you of ALL of your sins, and completely removes them from you, he actually removes them from his memory as well so even he will not remember him, he puts his Holy SPirit in you, and gives you Salvation for all of eternity. We are Saved through Grace, by our faith alone in him, it is a free unearned gift to us. All we have to do is have faith in what he did, He was God, he left a throne in heaven to come down here, Fully God, and Fully man, and was Crucified, He did this as the Ultimate Sacrifice, and the last sacrifice, so that ALL sin would be forgiven, THen he arose and was resurrected after 3 days, he is alive, and he is back in heaven, and he will be coming back for those who believe in him soon, This is called Rapture. We will be given Glorified bodies and we will dwell in glory in the kingdom of heaven forever! This is really exciting. All you have to do is call upon him and ask him to save you if you believe in what he did. I purposly set out to blasphemy the Holy Spirit. Even saying if I have not committed the act, I want to. I read the scriptures in Mathew 22 and repeated what the pharasees said. Is forgiveness possible for me? I am very active in my church, but have not gone to my pastor yet. I just want to know where I stand.
Unbelief or refusing to believe on or except Jesus even when your heart is being convicted by the Holy Spirit to believe on Jesus as your Lord and Savior is Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit....Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the "Unpardonable Sin".

Question 1: Where in the New Testament is the scripture that says, "There are those who teach that they and their group are the only ones saved and everyone else is deceived and going to Hell. These people walk according to the flesh and are condemned."? Over the years I have asked this question of many people. Learned men with impressive degrees, men believed to be profits, evangelist, preachers, teachers, and well meaning people believed to be experts in all things scriptural. Same answer every time regardless of the person. "Not in the Bible!" Since you were kind enough to answer a question of mine with scripture. I will leave you with this. The scripture does exist and it is located in one of the NT books between Romans and Revelations. You got to ask God for this knowledge.
Here's how it will end for you and for me: Philippians 2:10-11: "... at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Romans 14:11: "...every knee shall bow to me [God], and every tongue shall confess to God" Isaiah 45:22-25: (22) "Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. (23) By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance. (24) Only in the Lord, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come and be ashamed all who were incensed against him. (25) In the Lord all the offspring of Israel shall be justified and shall glory." The Greek word for "confess" in the first two verses, "exomologeomai," is also used by Christ to praise His Father in Matthew 11:25 & Luke 10:21. It's never used in any verse to mean forced praise. Please consider the implications of Isaiah 45:25 especially. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is Never being saved to begin with. Apon hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ we are sent the Holy Spirit. The job of the Holy Spirit is to reveal Spiritual truth of who Christ is (not just what we read and understand, But Spiritual Knowlege of the Son of God). Without this truth we face death alone (unsaved). We as Christians here the gospel the, spirit is sent and instead of going to Prayer and God for interpretation we go to man and a religion of men. In this we Never come to Spiritual truth and in doing this Blaspheme the Spirit by ignoring Him and instead putting faith in man, not God. The Pharisees Jesus was talking to were literally hearing and seeing the Word of God right before their eyes and yet they not only did not see who he was, but by saying that he was of the devil was in essence exactly what we do when we don't listen to Him and judge those who do understand Spiritual things. There is only ONE sin that is unforgiven, NEVER being forgiven in the first place. Because of our lack of Spiritual Knowlege.. Thats It, this is why they were in "danger" of never being forgiven and not "On the spot going tpo Hell". because if they continued to think this way and die without understanding they would not be forgiven seeing that they (as we) are without excuse, having been given the opportunity to believe and listen to the Spirt. but instead, we (as they did, and still do) follow in a religion and physical works and knowledge of men.. He is quite literally explaining How to come to Christ in this verse, and the danger of being carnal minded and following a religion and putting faith in our own understanding or the understanding of other men. Only God reveals Spiritual truth. The importance of prayer and reading your bible for yourself is PARAMOUNT.. Loose the religion for a while until you get a foundation built on God. Trust me, the Spirit is waiting patiently for this.. Watch that bible come to life. Stop putting the bible up as a golden calf. the bible is only there to bear witness of what GOD reveals to you in Spirit. You will NOT understand it spiritually unless God be the one to show you, so don't rely on your pastor or any man for this. Because they cant and you can't hear the Spiritual meaning of it even if they themselves know it and give it too you. I know this because EVERY author of the bible already has this truth written down and yet you can't see it or what they are saying Spiritually, and wont until God opens the eyes and ears..

So if someone believes that someone else has done something wrong and the accused has not done any of the things they are supposed to have done but the accuser claims that The Holy Sprite is telling them their information. Is that the same as blaspheming the Holy Spirit?
You've missed the whole idea of what Jesus was talking about. He was admonishing them to br CAREFUL of attributing His works with Satan. Alot of men were probably running around at that time, pretending to do miracles, and perhaps these leaders through IGNORANCE, thought He might be one of them, doing miracles by Satan's power. People can definitely blaspheme in this day and age: thoughts of offense, degradation, insulting, and profane accusation towards the Holy Spirit, as well as the spoken word. How is it you do not understand this?
I'm sorry but this seems like a stretch. (let me add I've watched other videos from this channel and enjoyed them, like the Armor of God videos) You can't blaspheme the Holy Spirit with words because the Pharisees had Jesus healing people in front of them and we don't? Where in the text does it even remotely suggest blaspheming the Spirit with words only counts if Jesus is physically there? Doesn't God know all our words? I suspect this conclusion was made because of a need to understand how all sins are forgiven and blasphemy against the Holy Spirit isn't forgiven can both be true at the same time. Here is a possible alternate solution to that: You CAN blaspheme the Holy Spirit with words. As the pharisees did or at least were in danger of doing. But perhaps the only people capable of truly blaspheming the Holy Spirit are the same type of people who are incapable of asking forgiveness from Christ. Reprobate minds. Wilfully remaining unrepentant is blaspheming? Seems more like a symptom of a dark spiritual state than the blasphemy itself.

I would think if you feel convicted that you’ve done this blasphemy then that’s proof you haven’t because the heart that does this blasphemy is incapable of feeling convicted by it since it’s so defiant.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is to defy the Holy Spirit's leading after you have been truly converted and received the spirit of Christ. Sin unto death is defiance or willful sin. (Hebrews 10:26-29)
Sin committed in ignorance can be forgiven. This includes all sin that had been committed before a true conversion and having received the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-23)

@@lilynorris5230I was in the same situation, I pushed the Holy Spirit and it came to a point in my testimony where just a few months ago it led me to be saved. But before that I remember clearly as I was getting closer to the lord but still remaining in my flesh desires and when I tried to pray, it was a disciplinary answer. I didn’t know what the unforgivable sin was before but when I got saved and started learning about this sin, all sin was forgiven. Thinking and looking back, the spirit convicts me to not do it again because I do now hold the knowledge of what it is, thus having no excuse

I particularly value the line "cannot be duplicated today". When I was a new Christian, I had I nagging memory of when I was a non-believer, I had been pressured to go to a revival at a VERY charismatic holiness pentacostal church. Had a bad experience & heard talk of a strange Baptism taking place. This event caused me to walk away from the faith for years into lukewarm, nearly non belief.
The memory that was nagging however is how I handled and discussed the event. I said all kind of terrible things about this revival, that church, that baptism etc.
Again this was years ago~ I was worried sick I had committed blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.. it wasn't until much Christian growth that I realized that worry was silly.

The fact that you are concerned is a sign of eternal life. The Pharisees were hardened in their hearts towards Jesus. That's the difference. Also remember that Paul (Saul) prosecuted Christians and Jesus saved him.

Unless you’re literally seeing Jesus do a miracle right before your very eyes AND THEN blaspheme Him, you should be worried. Theres a difference between ignorant sin and meditating on something like that and then willingly ascribing it to the works of the devil. God knows our hearts and if you’re genuinely worried about this or your salvation, then you have nothing to worry about. Your heart is still softened and there is forgiveness in Jesus.
When the Pastor of my Church was saying that there’s no forgiveness of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, out of no where I was imagining cussing the Holy Spirit yet i didn’t do it by mouth…i pray God had mercy on me! I don’t wanna go to Hell

I often think I have blasphemed and it scares me beyond belief. I am in a very rocky state in my faith and have often lashed out on anger, not towards God but to myself and sometimes think me praying in anger has caused blasphemy

I am also very terrified that I have committed this sin. I have only been a believer since 2016(age 26), but prior to that I was a Agnostic(despite growing up in church) and very anti-religion. I remember thinking about Jesus and wondering about his miracles and was wondering how he did them and even wondered if it had happened(this was before I was saved) and had different ideas about it. I also made fun of Jesus, Christians, and the Bible. Now that I do believe, it is something I feel horrible about and have asked God's forgiveness Several times. I also constantly praise him and share Bibke verses to make up for the times I blasphemed. I still feel guilt over it.
Ask forgiveness and accept his forgiveness. Blasphemy against Jesus is forgivable and you didn't know better. Rejoice and thank him that you are forgiven!

I had lived with the fear of commiting this sin for almost 15 years, but know that God is not unfair and unjust. I had even developped an OCD about it, i was even afraid of mentionning the Holy Spirit. But I cried out to God, and many times He responded me, but i didn't have enough faith for realizing it that many times He gave me the answer. For sure, what Jesus said is really scary. But that sin is not simple as it looks. If it was that simple, satan just has to make people commiting that sin to make them lose heaven. But look at this verse in 1 John 1:9 "9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." It is said ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, no matter what you've had comitted. People who sins against the Holy Spirit don't even have the feel to ask for forgiveness. Remember that by works (meaning doing things to earn God’s favor )you are not saved but by faith in Christ (God in the Flesh) you are saved. I’m in the same boat as you in terms of thinking I committed this sin. Worrying is not the spirit of a believer . We have to deny the devils lie and know that jesus knows our hearts and knows every hair on our hands and knows our heart . There is nothing we can physically do to make God want to bring us into heaven except accepts Christ as Lord , spreading the gospel , helping others and treating others like Christ would and repenting of our sins .

Some months ago I said "many of most examples of faith healings are of the devil". When i said that, I had in mind the many dramatic "healings" of TV evangelists as well as more pagan oriented healings, and at the time I viewed healings mediated by the Blessed mother in that category. My thought/point was that the devil could reward someone who is on the wrong path in order to trick them into staying on the wrong path. I certainly experienced that when i was on the wrong path.
I absolutely believe in Jesus Christ and that there are legitimate faith healings.
But after learning of the unforgivable sin, I'm worried that i have blasphemed the Holy Spirit and I'm am terrified.

You need only apply Jesus' words to the Pharisees in this passage as being ONLY to that particular group at that point. Don't worry! I made the same "mistake" as you and I am still being patiently led by God. It's always ok to question supernatural experiences and exercise discernment. Jesus was simply condemning the Pharisees at that particular moment in time, and it isn't a sin we are capable of committing. Peace. 🙏

As Jesus said, "The only way to the Father is by me."
Which makes sense, if you choose to not believe Christ will save us, then you are blaspheming the Holy Spirit. And you will not enter his Kingdom.

Well, the Bible talks about satan having limited power to perform those miracles and trick people. Jesus knows the intent of your heart even better than you do, so would know exactly where you are coming from. If you haven't already done it, have a serious talk with Him about it, and know nothing can snatch you from God's hands if you refuse to be snatched, there is plenty of Scripture to back that up. then, remember where fear comes from, it isn't God. The Bible also says to resist the devil and he will flee Be enccouraged.
I continue to disagree with this. Why do people continue to say blaspheming the Holy Spirit is rejection of Jesus when Jesus says, specifically you can speak a word against him, and it shall be forgiven. However, if you speak a word against the Holy Spirit, you shall not be forgiven. What’s so hard to understand about this?
I believe we have a hard time understanding is because of fear, and so much fear makes us overthink we panic. Atleast for me. What does it mean to speak against?
because the Holy Spirit is not a second Son of God. The Spirit is not the Christ. For blasphemy against the Holy Spirit you need to essentially say there is disagreement in the Trinity, because you would need to have the Holy Spirit and say the Jesus in Person that his actions are against the will of the Father.
The unforgivable sin is interpreted by Christian theologians in various ways, although they generally agree that one who has committed the sin is no longer able to repent, and so one who is fearful that one has committed it has not done so.
I don't buy it without scriptural proof. You could regret an act for which there is no forgiveness and have no hope.
In Matthew it's worded differently (and more accurately I believe, since it's more detailed):
"And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come." (Matthew 12:32)

I once new someone who attended a Christian School I went to, he was an atheist, I tried to get him to Accept Jesus, but he refused to except Jesus as his savior, he told me that h would burn any Bible that was given to him, I am a Mormon, I recently renewed my faith when my family parted away from the church and refused to go back, May Jesus bless all of those who are willing to seek Jesus as their savior

I used to say that bible is bullshit. I laughed at people who goes to church. I cursed God. I was an atheist and my life was a mess back then. I repented. Im a solid christian now. I believe in the Holy spirit. My Faith has become stronger than ever. I have surrendered everything to God.. I left my parents long time ago due to conflicts, Im all alone now and God has been with me all through out my struggles and my journey. He guides me all the way. God has given me so much blessings since then..once you experienced the love of God, theres no turning back.

Reading the verses in The Gospel of John Jesus talks about his Helper and Advocate that The Father wil send in His Name. What you are talking about - unwanted thoughts - is a common problem among believers. So you are not alone even if you think that you were alone. These thoughts can come up when you are afraid of committing the unforgivable sin and they lose their power when you lose this anxiety. The bible says that you are going to heaven if you have faith in Jesus (John 3 16 and John 6 47). So, what to do now? It's likely that watching thousands of videos about this topic wouldn't help you. It could help you for a while but then you become anxious again and you need further videos. You have to understand this: These thoughts will definitely pop up in your mind when you try not to have them. Why do you try not to have them? Because you think that they would bring you to hell. But the truth is found in John 3 16 and John 6 47.
BTW: I experienced a very similar situation. I read Matthew 12 and thought that if I had a thought that would say something bad about the Spirit, I would go to hell and had no hope. Then I thought, that if I would only think it, it was okay, but if I would speak it, I would go to hell. I even dreamed of it. It was very terrifying. But now I can say that I am not afraid of it anymore. I have experienced that God is still with me. John 3 16 is true! Don't think that you are hopeless. There is definitely hope for you. I am not a theologist so don't take it as a sermon or something like that. I'm just someone who went through a tough time and now tries to help other people.

It would seem that just by virtue of the fact you don't want to blaspheme should help you to not do so, and trust God to help our understanding not to do so. Sin is willful disobedience, and God's Word encourages seeking wisdom and getting knowledge. QUESTION : What is the unforgivable sin?
ANSWER : Would you believe it’s BLASPHEMY? Insulting the invisible guy in the sky or making jokes about him, apparently you can commit the most heinous crimes against humanity including mass murder, rape, incest and theft but if you convince God that you’re genuinely sorry and promise him that you’ve embraced his doctrine you’ll be forgiven and permitted to live in bliss in his magical fairyland after your death here on Earth.

If we are judged by our actions, then we would all go to Hell because not one of us is righteous and able to make it into Heaven ourselves. This is why Jesus came to earth, was killed, buried, and then rose again. God is a just god, meaning that he is going to punish those who justly deserve it, which is all of us. The rules that God set out must be upheld and if they are not, the offender must take responsibility. However, we humans cannot uphold them. Just try to be utterly perfect for a day. No mean thoughts, no cursing, no ignoring homeless people on the side of the street, no griping at friends or family members. It's impossible. We can't do it. Only God can. This shows God to be a merciful god too because he gave us a way out of our predicament while still upholding the law. This means that those who believe that Jesus paid for their sins, and was qualified to do so because He is God, will go to Heaven. This is all to say that, Jesus himself said that yes! It is that easy! You just have to be sorry for what you've done and try to stop doing evil (repent) and believe in what He did for you (aka. have faith). That's it. No more. The end. If you believe this, then you can go to Heaven without being perfect because Jesus paid for the consequences of our sin already. I'm not going to address the Trinity in depth because I don't understand enough about it to truthfully telly you. However, the basic gist is that God is 3 persons in 1 being. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus talks about the Holy Spirit and implies the trinity by saying "the father" in John 14:26 and John 15:26 in the NIV translation of the Bible if you would like to look it up.

I think you misunderstood. He said anyone who blasphemes against the Son of Man will be forgiven. So, in this context Jesus does not need to be here on Earth. Whereas, the Holy Spirit still is; and he does still do wonder and shows us sings through healing and deliverance. In this case, I believe, that anyone who attributes true works of the Holy Spirit to the devil even in our age or the age to come will be held accountable before the Almighty God.

I felt very guilty afterwards as I never intended to curse at the Spirit of God. If the only unforgivable sin is blaspheming the Holy ghost, then everyone eventually going to hell has done so. Many of these preachers are doing the same thing the pharisees and sadducees did to Jesus every Sunday. I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous but I feel awful because someone commented something about the “Holy Ghost” and I didn’t not realize that meant the Holy Spirit. I said there is no Holy Ghost, it’s the Holy Spirit. Like 5 seconds later I realized it’s the same name. Some people just use Holy Ghost. I felt a huge sinking in my chest and prayed to God asking for forgiveness and telling him it was a lapse in realization and I didn’t realize we were both speaking about the Holy Spirit. If you look at the scripture and it says not in this age or the age to come. Strong arguments for the cause of dispensation states that this age is the age of when Christ was on earth performing miracles the age to come would be when he returns. Therefore it is believed strongly that this sin can only be committed and it’s fullness when Christ is present on earth. He was here right before the church H and then he will come again to rule again, therefore when Christ is present on earth if someone was to accuse him of what the Pharisees were accusing him of they would be guilty of the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. This is because they had complete proof that Jesus Christ was working with God because he was doing godly things to deny what Christ was doing was blasphemy. Therefore the exact Ness of the sin cannot be recreated in this time. It is not something like a mistaken word or being misled by some heretical teacher. One would have to see the true evidence of Christ and his works and then when they deny that that would be the unpardonable sin.

I’m really worried for myself now. These past weeks I’ve been questioning Jesus and asking him "why haven’t you healed me yet? I’ve asked my mom "if Jesus is good and powerful why hasn’t he healed me yet?" or I would tell my mom "if you don’t want to keep seeing me suffer and complain to you with what I’m going through than pray for me since you’ve heard Jesus speak to you" the reason I said that to my mom is because I’ve never heard Jesus speak to me so I told my mom to pray because I think that Jesus would hear my moms prayer and because I think Jesus doesn’t hear mines or wants to heal me. Let's get something straight here. During Jesus's walk the Holy Spirit hadn't been delivered into the world at that time. Blasphemy is actually attributing God's work through the Holy Spirit to the enemy.

That was actually the closest explanation I've heard so far. But there is still more to it. The pharazees traditionally ascribed certain miracles to their messiah. They agreed unanimously that only the Messiah would be able to perform these miracles.
Jesus then was the one who performed them - they actually saw Him doing it, but they still ascribed his works to the devil.
There is a scripture in 1st John ch.4 that proves wether or not a person has committed unforgivable sin. It says "every Spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh the same is of God and every Spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God and is of that antichrist of which I have told you it is already in the world" I asked the Lord about it because I was terrified about the subject and He said when the angels sinned they fell from heaven and they died and their DNA devolved into what they had become and they could no longer enter into the corporeal dimension. So they cannot confess Jesus is come in the flesh because the flesh is the corporeal dimension. I confess it Everytime I get nervous. Also it says in 1st John " now no man can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Ghost" the Lord told me when He said "they are in danger of eternal damnation seeing they blaspheme the Holy Ghost" and I said Lord how could they only be in danger and my eyes fell upon the verse that says "whoso speaketh a word against the Holy Ghost has never forgiveness" and I saw the word "against" and He said "punctuation is of the heart" and then He told me "some people parrot satan " so i knew they would have to say it with their heart an horrifying subject so scary that's why I went into detail here for you guys. The Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is not Cussing, Adultery, Rejecting, or Bullying the Holy Spirit it is attributing the works of Jesus to the Devil or denying the witness of the Holy Spirit to Jesus works. I dont think Jesus was telling the Pharisees they would not get forgiveness. Jesus is a teacher. He was teaching them and us, a valuable lesson of what blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is, which is any person through spiritual wickedness take on the role of the Holy Spirit, whether through witchcraft or sorcery etc.
The devil does not shoot arrows in a graveyard. If you’re getting blast, missed thoughts, this is because the devil is angry that you have such a trust in Christ Jesus. The unforgivable sin is context, dependent upon Christ, being on earth, performing miracles, then having someone deny it. It is because Jesus is undeniable, and that he is the true son of God, and to blaspheme his miracles the way it describes dead would be unforgivable. He is not on earth now, so the context is not there.

I was on TikTok and a healing video came up a woman was healing 2 men and they kept falling, getting back up, falling, getting back up I can’t best describe it but compared to all the other healing videos I saw this didn’t seem real so my mind started drifting saying “fake,fake,fake” qnd I tried to remind myself it’s not fake she doing something good as a child of good than I got a random thought that said demonic I rejected it but I still feel terrible and still extremely worried
First of all. As you see in the comments of videos like this, many believers deal with unwanted thoughts. You are not alone. Unwanted thoughts show up, when you are afraid of committing blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and they lose their power as you lose that very fear. So, in order to lose your fear, look at what the bible says: If you have faith in Jesus, you will be in heaven (John 3 16 and John 6 47).
If you have no thoughts of converting and constant push away the Holy Spirit to the point of no return. You are doomed. If you come with a repentant heart and want to follow the way of the Holy Spirit, you are not doomed.

Well it’s the only time when the blasphemy against the holy spirit was applied to an actual situation in the bible, which was the Pharisees situation. Jesus also said that the Pharisees blasphemed the holy spirit because they told Jesus that his spirit was unclean, meaning that they accused him of being demon possessed instead of being spirit filled.
John MacArthur interprets it like this, when Jesus was on earth and the religious leaders saw Jesus perform in the miracle and they said that it was satanic activity, that was the incarnation version of the unpardonable sin. But it could still be repeated today because the holy spirit is out delivering the gospel to people and people are still to this day regarding the gospel as unclean. So many people choose not to accept Jesus as their savior. Therefore those people will be "subject to eternal condemnation"

For this reason, Got Questions and other Baptist pastors interpret this story as the “Only form of blaspheme” possible. Justifying accusing someone speaking in tongues as demon possessed, which is a slippery slope when speaking about an unpardonable sin.
If you are actively working against God, this is blasphemy against the holy spirit. If you are seeking forgiveness and believe in God then odds are you have not committed this sin. People think way too hard on this. A blasphemer of the holy spirit will not be forgiven because they find no power in his works.
This is why it says there is no forgiveness, it is a state of Sin and mind rather than a sin itself. If anybody is frightened about the unpardonable sin and they don't know what it means about blaspheming the spirit, they should totally take a look at your explanation. That was really good. 15 months ago when I had no idea what it meant, I felt so scared and horrified that I committed it. I remember just crying and being paralyzed with fear. But then my mom showed me Joseph Prince's book Destined To Reign and it revealed to me that he went through a very similar torment as well. But then he pointed out that the audience whom Jesus was chatting with were the religious leaders, the guys who plotted to kill him on several occasions, not people who accepted him as Savior who are as a matter of fact indwelled in the holy Spirit. And then I read Billy Graham's teaching on it and that brought me so much comfort. It really showed me that Jesus is death on the cross really was powerful after all

Matthew 12:31-32 can only be defined by context and other scriptures. 1 John 5:16-17 is a parallel passage.

So.. I am still a bit concerned about something I did before I was saved, I was in a very bad state of life, in a bad stage of my life, I was homeless, living on the street, and I was very angry because although I was not yet saved, and not yet repented, I professed to be a christian, but did not know what it meant to be saved, I was homeless on the streets in winter in Lakewood Colorado, and I became angry with god after repeated prayers and no answers, no help came, no support came, nothing I prayed for came. Well I became angry and I cursed at God, I Cursed at the Holy spirit, and I cursed at the father who is Yahweh. I told them I am sick of praying to no one and I am tired of being here and hearing about them and praying to them and hearing that if I had faith in them I would be spared, pain, torment, anguish and that I would be provided for, and I called them names and blasphemed against them. That was more than 20 years ago, I have since then repented and changed my ways, I have been saved, and born again in Christ, but now with this Bible verse, I still have to wonder if I have the indwelling Holy spirit, and if I have committed an unforgivable sin by doing what I did. It makes me sad to think that even though I have repented, renounced everything, asked for forgiveness and turned to Jesus, I might still not be saved because of something I did this long ago and knew what I was doing at the time, but was so angry I did it anyway. Yes, When he saves you, he forgives you of ALL of your sins, and completely removes them from you, he actually removes them from his memory as well so even he will not remember him, he puts his Holy SPirit in you, and gives you Salvation for all of eternity. We are Saved through Grace, by our faith alone in him, it is a free unearned gift to us. All we have to do is have faith in what he did, He was God, he left a throne in heaven to come down here, Fully God, and Fully man, and was Crucified, He did this as the Ultimate Sacrifice, and the last sacrifice, so that ALL sin would be forgiven, THen he arose and was resurrected after 3 days, he is alive, and he is back in heaven, and he will be coming back for those who believe in him soon, This is called Rapture. We will be given Glorified bodies and we will dwell in glory in the kingdom of heaven forever! This is really exciting. All you have to do is call upon him and ask him to save you if you believe in what he did. I commend you for including the only context in the Bible for the unpardonable sin. Most people just parrot what they heard others say about it without considering the context. Question 1: Where in the New Testament is the scripture that says, "There are those who teach that they and their group are the only ones saved and everyone else is deceived and going to Hell. These people walk according to the flesh and are condemned."? Over the years I have asked this question of many people. Learned men with impressive degrees, men believed to be profits, evangelist, preachers, teachers, and well meaning people believed to be experts in all things scriptural. Same answer every time regardless of the person. "Not in the Bible!" Since you were kind enough to answer a question of mine with scripture. I will leave you with this. The scripture does exist and it is located in one of the NT books between Romans and Revelations. You got to ask God for this knowledge.
Here's how it will end for you and for me:
Philippians 2:10-11: "... at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Romans 14:11: "...every knee shall bow to me [God], and every tongue shall confess to God"
Isaiah 45:22-25: (22) "Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. (23) By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance. (24) Only in the Lord, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come and be ashamed all who were incensed against him. (25) In the Lord all the offspring of Israel shall be justified and shall glory."
The Greek word for "confess" in the first two verses, "exomologeomai," is also used by Christ to praise His Father in Matthew 11:25 & Luke 10:21. It's never used in any verse to mean forced praise. Please consider the implications of Isaiah 45:25 especially. They are very hopeful.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is Never being saved to begin with. Apon hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ we are sent the Holy Spirit. The job of the Holy Spirit is to reveal Spiritual truth of who Christ is (not just what we read and understand, But Spiritual Knowlege of the Son of God). Without this truth we face death alone (unsaved). We as Christians here the gospel the, spirit is sent and instead of going to Prayer and God for interpretation we go to man and a religion of men. In this we Never come to Spiritual truth and in doing this Blaspheme the Spirit by ignoring Him and instead putting faith in man, not God. The Pharisees Jesus was talking to were literally hearing and seeing the Word of God right before their eyes and yet they not only did not see who he was, but by saying that he was of the devil was in essence exactly what we do when we don't listen to Him and judge those who do understand Spiritual things. There is only ONE sin that is unforgiven, NEVER being forgiven in the first place. Because of our lack of Spiritual Knowlege.. Thats It, this is why they were in "danger" of never being forgiven and not "On the spot going tpo Hell". because if they continued to think this way and die without understanding they would not be forgiven seeing that they (as we) are without excuse, having been given the opportunity to believe and listen to the Spirt. but instead, we (as they did, and still do) follow in a religion and physical works and knowledge of men.. He is quite literally explaining How to come to Christ in this verse, and the danger of being carnal minded and following a religion and putting faith in our own understanding or the understanding of other men. Only God reveals Spiritual truth. The importance of prayer and reading your bible for yourself is PARAMOUNT.. Loose the religion for a while until you get a foundation built on God. Trust me, the Spirit is waiting patiently for this.. Watch that bible come to life. Stop putting the bible up as a golden calf. the bible is only there to bear witness of what GOD reveals to you in Spirit. You will NOT understand it spiritually unless God be the one to show you, so don't rely on your pastor or any man for this. Because they cant and you can't hear the Spiritual meaning of it even if they themselves know it and give it too you. I know this because EVERY author of the bible already has this truth written down and yet you can't see it or what they are saying Spiritually, and wont until God opens the eyes and ears..

You've missed the whole idea of what Jesus was talking about. He was admonishing them to br CAREFUL of attributing His works with Satan. Alot of men were probably running around at that time, pretending to do miracles, and perhaps these leaders through IGNORANCE, thought He might be one of them, doing miracles by Satan's power. People can definitely blaspheme in this day and age: thoughts of offense, degradation, insulting, and profane accusation towards the Holy Spirit, as well as the spoken word. I suspect this conclusion was made because of a need to understand how all sins are forgiven and blasphemy against the Holy Spirit isn't

Here is a possible alternate solution to that: You CAN blaspheme the Holy Spirit with words. As the pharisees did or at least were in danger of doing.
But perhaps the only people capable of truly blaspheming the Holy Spirit are the same type of people who are incapable of asking forgiveness from Christ.
