I totally agree with you, Lori! Yes, Playa Knip is my favorite beach as well. You just can't beat the white sand and the absolute crystal-clear warm ocean water. Gosh, I miss the beaches of Curacao when I see this video. The drone footage is awesome. Great presentation of the beaches. Thank you for putting our island in the spotlight. Hi there! Ya, you might want to Google Mambo Beach, the one we tall about first in our video. That beach has got various different oceanside restaurants, lounge chairs, mini resorts, a small shopping mall and bathrooms. Everything available right on a man-made lagoon that might serve your needs well. Hope this helps! Thank you for your great video! Going to Curacao next spring with Royal Caribbean. Is there a charge for any of those beaches? Thanks again for sharing! 👍😊
In this video we talk about our top 5 (really too 10!) beaches in Curacao. And out of OUR list in this video only the very first beach mentioned, Mambo Beach has an entrance charge (which you CAN fund eats to get around if you need/want to). Thank you watching @RAPA Ent.! Your cruise sounds lovely! Which of Curacao's beaches do you think you'll be able to see once you dock?
@@PlanFree Thank you for your reply!! We would like to rent a jeep and do our own tour. We would like to rent a jeep and do our own tour. As for the beaches.... definately Kokomo Beach, Playa Porto Marie, Grote Knip (Playa Kenepa) & Piskado. I'm going to look into more that you have in your video. Oh that is a fabulous idea, having a vehicle is a MUST because the island is quite large. You'll only be able to see a handful of awesome things in a short stay but we're quite confident you'll have an excellent time! Go Mavic Go! Haha (We love ours also)
Hi @ths4168, Sounds like you have a trip to the island coming? We hope one of our other viewers can answer this for you because we chose to live on the island for 6 full months and we bought our own car at that time. So, we have no idea what taxis or other transportation costs would be. Sorry we couldn't be of further assistance to you but again hopefully one of our other viewers can answer you hear. Enjoy the island! It's large! Ayr & Lori
Hi @tenis1212, actually if you rewatch our video, at 2:24 we mention the fee for Mambo beach. Then, we don't mention any other fees on any beaches because we did not pay any! The rest of the beaches on our list in this video were free because we put a towel down on the beach and did not rent a chair form anyone! Yahooooo Cool hey? Thank you so much for your question and we are glad you found us and our channel! Ayr & Lori
Hi @Tina Peng, No. The only beach beach that we talk about in this video that requires a fee is Mambo Beach. And, you can still enter the Mambo Beach area for free at the entrance and walk around, go to the restaurants and shops, lay on the sand and swim all for free but if you want to sit on a beach lounge chair (there are a hundred chairs or more there!) while relaxing and enjoying the man made beach area at Mambo Beach then someone will walk around and see you on a chair in their "area" and come over to ask you to pay. We simply found an area away from the chairs to put our towels down on the sand to lay on and enjoyed Mambo for free. But we are told that some times they don't really allow that! Maybe we got lucky!? Do you plan to travel soon to visit Curacao? We appreciate your comment, thank you!
Just watch the video out of all the beaches which one would you say would be the best to swim out with the least worries of giant aquatic things approaching you.
Hi @Rich C, First of all thanks so much for watching our video of our top 5 (really top 10!....you'll get what we mean if you watch the video from the beginning right to the end) beaches in Curacao! Your question is actually more complex than it originally seems. We could easily just tell you: oh, well it would be our #1 beach playa Kanepa! But you know, we don't really know if you're asking for open bays, open to the sea? or beaches that have been man-made, blocked off to create a protected safe swimming area? We don't know if you're asking for a beach close to Willemstad, in the city or more natural and way out at West Point? Remember, and again, like we mention in our video, there are between 35 and 40 beaches on Curacao! So, would you be able to narrow it down for us in terms of an area to focus in on or man-made vs natural? We'll do our best to help! We appreciate the question and hope you clicked the LIKE button for us! 👍
@@PlanFree sorry for the vague question. So I'm planning this vacation to do triathlon train as well. All my swim training is typically in a pool or a lake. When I do go swimming I'll go typically a thousand yards out and back. I don't feel too comfortable doing that in an open ocean. so I guess my question would be what beaches would be the best to maybe go not as far but something that's more bufferd like a man-made rock buffer from the open ocean if that makes any sense lol or even a beach where there's just lots of boats out in the water can I get that little security
Well you know then @Rich C, we might recommend Mambo Beach. You have to pay to use a chair but what we did is just put our towel down on the sand and then it was free for us! You could swim left to right, right to left within the rock wall that they've built up there. No open ocean at all and so the ovean water that comes in splashes over the rock wall and into the large area. So you wouldn't be swimming from shore out into the ocean and then back to shore again, you would be going parallel to the shore if that works? 110% safe for what you are looking for. And, as a side bonus is it's really close to Willemstad and where most people stay we would say. Does that help? Way to go both on your vacation and your triathlon, that's pretty cool stuff!
