Hey world travelers! Are you in the market for a beach getaway? Well we can highly recommend Curacao. Check out our full Curacao playlist to see why! ua-cam.com/play/PL6WgaSma-oe2aJaDRIJ71qPuAoTHAwZO3.html
Hello! Just wanted to jump on and say a big THANK YOU! My hubby and I just returned from a week in Curaçao (our first) and we watch all your Curacao videos before and even during the trip! The information and details you provided were OUTSTANDING and I think really played a big part in the success of our trip! We visited many of the beaches, restaurants and “spots” you highlighted in your Curaçao videos. So again thank you for the great content and we are looking forward to seeing and exploring your other world travel videos as we consider and plan our next adventure.
Aww, that's so great to hear! We're so glad our guides helped your trip be a great one! We loved Curacao and are glad you had a great experience in part due to our videos. Enjoy exploring our other destinations on the channel. There are many more destinations to come if I could just edit faster. 😉
Thanks! We're moving to Nashville and going on our honeymoon in Curacao in September! What airline did you fly? It's looking like American Airlines is the most efficient from Nashville?
Very useful, thanks so much! Headed there soon, hoping to make friends who I can get around/go exploring with as I am not an experienced driver and wouldn't feel comfortable driving around alone.
Nice! Driving in Curacao is pretty easy so don’t worry even if you have to go alone. Just make sure you have international data so you can use Google maps or at least download maps for offline use.
We were there on our honeymoon in 2016. We stayed in a good resort just 20 minuten from the airport. We had a rental car so we saw alot of the island. Friends of ours just build their house over there and if we want we can stay there so hopefully ill be back in Curaçao.
It is not called Mardi Gras(French) . It is called Karnaval (Papiamentu). Love your review. The old market, for those who may not know, is called Marshe Bieuw or Plaza Bieu. This place is undiscovered and absolutely amazing. Karnaval is a great time to go, so is Seu (harvest, Easter Monday), Christmas and New Year. Get a mini surge protector because the current is not stable. The current is not the same as in the US.
Thanks for the surge protector tip. Also, we said Mardi Gras intentionally because we are talking to mostly American tourists who know when Mardi Gras is as it is also celebrated in the US.
enjoyed your "CURACAO TRAVEL TIPS" thanks for sharing so much valuable information verbally during the video looks super festive @6:34 Great video ! LIKE
We stayed 28 days in Curacao and in Aruba. We're digital nomads though so we can do that. If you are looking to go for vacation, 5-7 days is a good amount of time to stay.
Excellent video...thank you so much for providing it. We will be there the last week of Nov through the first week of Dec. I just found out that the house we are renting has AC in the rooms, but not through the main house. The whole back wall that overlooks the private pool and ocean opens up, as well large side doors on both sides of the living room. It shows temperatures to be in the high 80's to low 90's during the day there. Are we going to be miserable in the house? Is it breezy there to make it bearable?
Yes, that's very common in the Caribbean, and I think you will be fine. There is a breeze, so it's not unbearable. It will probably be warmer than you are used to, but still enjoyable.
Thanks, great tips! I have a question for you, did you ever see anyone who worked in the business section of Willemstad? If so, what were they wearing----ever see a suit or other dress clothes? In Utila, business wear is a Hawaiian shirt, cargo shorts, and flip flops----but I'd rather have at least some business wear if I need it?
This is where we stayed. www.airbnb.com/rooms/53793199?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=f280bf9b-ce99-4a09-b600-8db9aeb1ca2f Affordable places are all based on availability, so you just have to search Airbnb to see what's available.
Can you give us an idea of the cost of buying food? Prepared food, not ingredients. We'll be going in October and trying to decide if its worth going all inclusive.
The rainy season is the best time to visit the island... why is that, you crazy panlomito??? Because IF it rains it is only for 10-30 minutes and the sun will come back in no time. The other reason is that nature is at its best during the rainy season: lush green with flowers everywhere. The worst part of the year is in August/September when it is very hot and dry, so no green nature and you will not be able to walk around in Willemstad during the early afternoon. And on the beach/in the sea you will get burned lobster style while snorkeling. Living on Curaçao from Summer 2022... living and loving it !
@@alexc1981 It's is true there are more mosquitos during the rainy season (October-January). But not unbearable. It depends where you are on the island. We live at 65 meter above sea level with a lot of wind and less mosquitos.

@LucasWorldTravel oh wow, that's epic 😲. If you have 10days, would you take 5/5days per island? Or 4days Aruba/6days Curacao?
@@coolaidtrippin9118 Yes, 5 days per island could work well.

We didn't see a single suit while in Curacao. We weren't on the look out for business people though so we can't say with any certainity.
I want to work remotely like you and stay for a month! What did ya do?
Teach English online. I created an online course in 2016 and it still sells so it's all passive income.

Hello, where did U exchange money?
We just got money out of the ATM.
@@LucasWorldTravel at the airport? Thanks for the answer :)
What is the immigration card for?
When you arrive you need to get your passport stamped at immigration before you can enter the country. It's the digital form you need to do that.

One thing to add to "what to bring" would be anti mosquito spray! Or buy one as soon as you get to the island!

Thinking about going first week of March , and stay in sun scape. What is the average taxi cost ?
I believe it was $28-$30 USD tip and from the airport.
