Thanks so much for the review. Yours was a nice offering as many seem to underplay the 00’s strumming capabilities since it’s supposedly primarily a fingerpicking or “light touch” kind of guitar. I’m a light-touching fingerstyle player myself, but it was good to hear what it sounds like when someone really goes at it with the strumming!! My only disappointment was that, mid-story, I had been looking forward to hearing whether the manufacturing produced consistent results across multiple specimens, only to find out you were comparing 2 different guitars!😂😂 I am small framed, small-handed, and short-armed, so the 000 is about 2-3 inches too big for my right arm’s comfort, so I am excitedly shopping for an excellent used 00- like you said, SOOO comfortable to play!! Thanks again! 🌹🌹🌹
@@SistahRev thanks for the comment. I have played several of this model by now and it’s pretty good across the board. Out of probably 5 guitars only one felt a little different. Try the 00-18 also. Love that little guitar and own one now and not the 00-28. Although I have been tempted to get the modern deluxe version soon.
I just bought this guitar at a guitar shop in Santa Cruz, CA. I played many high end guitars, and I'm with you; it felt the most comfortable and being a finger picker, it was perfect for me. Thanks for the video.
That’s awesome. I was over there on business yesterday and stopped into Sylvan Music. Was really impressed by an ebony backed Lowden they had. Congrats on the guitar!
Wow, what a great review and playing right there. Bravo! The new Martin is super. What you have to appreciate is playing a three thousand dollar guitar is a lot different than someones "excellent couldn't spend that much" seven hundred dollar guitar. Very special. Nice arrangements too.
Thank you! I’ll be doing a review of an awesome little $400 guitar soon. Honestly you don’t have to spend much these days to get a great guitar. In fact I think I might order a GS Mini soon for Travel.
lols-i would argue that many of us are here for: equal parts story / guitar demo! :) thanks as always for your rad reviews. suggestion: check out a martin 000-15m. i stumbled upon one on fb marketplace and am in love with it. surprising bass presence, amazing balance and resonance, and clear as a bell. the trebs and mids are sooooo lovely and round!
I had the 000-17sm for a brief time and that was really nice. Did a video on it and moved it along. I was impressed with the 00-15m I tried. I’ll have to check that one out though. I do need an all hog guitar!
Hey man, nice video always enjoy your Guitar choices my opinion of this Guitar projection sound is good also a balanced EQ i’m potentially considering HD 35 reimagined but may have to wait awhile Agot a western classic on order and a 1957 Sj 200 reissue what was your experience of playing at D 35?
I really like the D35. Much warmer than a 28 and I like that. I just have so many dreads I have to be really picky about which ones I’ll own. I have a D41 that I’ll be reviewing soon as well.
goodbye cold, goodbye rain, goodbye sorrow, goodbye shame... Nice playing and the guitar looks/sounds amazing. Do you feel it sounds boxy at all? That's a complaint I hear sometimes about 00 but I didn't hear it here. I think I would prefer the size of a 00. I currently have a little martin and it does sound boxy.
Occasionally I got the boxy feeling right when I got it, but after a set up and string change and a week of play it’s all gone. I just posted this one for sale on the usual FB groups though as I found a guitar I’ve been after for a while. Still might sell something else as this one might be that diamond in the rough lol. I think I have 3 or 4 more L-00 size guitars to demo in the next couple weeks so it will be fun to listen back and compare. Maybe I should do a side by side of this one and a Gibson L-00 Original. Very different guitars but near the same size.

Awesome review and great guitar! May I ask which strings do you use for this particular guitar?
@@fakhriakhundov1031 those are daddario flat top phosphor bronze 12-53.

Thanks for the video and your description. Is that a 00-28 standard or 00-28 modern deluxe? thanks Ben
@@Mr.World52 that was the standard. I played the deluxe and loved it just a little more.
