I got on medication for my thyroid after having my second baby. I’m so glad you are talking about this because so many people ignore their bodies being tired because they think it’s just part of being a new mama. Ladies, if you don’t feel like yourself ask you doctor for a full blood panel!
Replacement hormone is not the solution. Treat the cause.
ok this is an important issue and i am going to have to ask you: don't be ignorant like this. thyriod issues is a pain in the ass. many of us who have it (myself included) have gone through things like trauma and/or child birth, both which are very heavy for the body to deal with. a COMBINATION of medication and a change in life style is essential.
do not say stuff like this again, please, cos you really do not know what the next person is going through (and yes, even if you do have the same condition, we all lead very different lives, and you just do not know what others deal with on a daily basis!). do not assume stuff or have opinions about what is best when it comes to physical and mental illness, as a rule of thumb, i'd say! you will only upset people, like myself, who is really struggling with their own shit right now. we all do our best in the life we have been given.

Also random note to the part where you asked Nick not to double dip, it’s ABSOLUTELY true! When I was around 12 my dad had the h pylori infection (when you have WAY too much of it and it’s painful) because his medication was so strong he would stop taking it and continue to be sick and this happened for a while. Anyways my Mom would tell me not to use his cutlery or drink from his cup and I would ignore her sometimes when my dad offered me a bit or drink of his food and later that year I too got the h pylori overgrowth and got really sick. I ended up developing chronic IBS after my treatment. Anyways a lot of people (including me at one point) thought nothing of sharing food but now I’m much more careful about it.
Hi Julia, just a comment to say I love your content. I don't have children myself but love seeing your journey as a mum with Honor and the everyday tasks you get up to. I find your videos comforting (probably because I came across your channel at a time during lockdown in the UK and you gave me inspiration to find intention and joy in the everyday tasks we have to do!)
A book that I found helped me increase my veg intake was a book called The Roasting Tin by Rukmini Iyer (there's various versions you can get - including a vegetarian book, dessert book, time efficient recipe book and more) but they're all great!

I’m French and every summer I eat ratatouille for lunch or dinner almost every day. My mother usually makes a batch for the whole family and week: a bit redundant but I never have to worry about my vegetable intake lol

Congrats on your engagement! I am living in Belgium and we eat a lot of vegetables every day. An easy way to eat enough vegetables is to make fresh soups. You can also make cold soups such as 'gazpacho'. And an absolute favourite vegetable dish here at home is 'ratatouille': lovely with pasta and grated parmesan, or can go with fish or meat. Or just steam simply some brocolli or other vegetables you like as a side dish.
I live in Australia & years ago I bought a thing called yonanas off our shopping channel. It takes frozen fruit & turns it into “ice cream”. When my kids were little we used it all the time. I went looking for it & I still have it surprisingly. I think it’s something you would like. Looks a bit like a juicer I guess. Just an idea. Love watching your family grow & fab news about your engagement. I was engaged for 15yrs and now married for 18. Getting married was great for us. You are the coolest mum ever💖

About veggies; I've been making yellow squash by cutting it as you normally would, sauté it on a pan with some butter, salt, pepper, and chili flakes 🤌🏼💋 super easy and yummy if you are good with some spice.

Congrats on your engagement!! I'm so happy for you both. I am the same way with showing excitement, always have been. With Honor not liking the bottle, my last child I solely nursed until she was 15 months. Around 6 months I started giving her juice in a sippy cup so there was no nipple confusion. Then when there was a situation where I couldn't nurse she was used to the cup and actually liked the cup so much better. Just an idea! She's getting so big and adorable! Good luck with everything ❤❤❤

Stick a wet washcloth in the refrigerator for an hour or two! My son loved gnawing on that when he was getting teeth. It feels good on their gums and it is easy for them to hold! Also, congratulations to you and Nick and Honor!

Julia, you have a Bullet blender let's use that to add more veggies to your diet. I know you make smoothies. You can add greens to your fruit smoothies . I love a spinach,banana, strawberry and blue berry mix, I tried kale yesterday instead and it wasn't bad.
I also love veggies of just about any and love to roast them with oil, herbs and some spices. Brussel sprouts, onion, zucchini , yellow neck squash and sweet potato , drizzle with olive oil (you can make an infused oil. I made a rosemary and thyme infused olive oil that's great for roasting veggies), shake some Mrs. Dash garlic and herb all over or Italian seasoning and mix, making sure everything is nicely coated. Roast in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes and check for desired doneness. 😋 Add some cheese if you like.
Sauteed peppers, onions,mushrooms , broccoli and zucchini are great and add some spinach at the end . Doesn't look all that pretty but the it tastes fantastic.
Instead of spinach in your smoothie add field greens. Add field greens to you salad.
If you do stir fry you can add your greens there too.
If I think of any more I'll let you know.

So I don't know either of you, and I have no say in this, but I have a feeling this was a bigger step to take for both of you than to have a child and I feel very happy and proud of the both of you, how you were trying to deal with your issues throughout the years and working on it and both of you, and not just one person.
