What stood out to me about Charlie was no intro, no ads, no lighting, cgi, or sound effects or music and his bedroom looks worse than even mine…yet this guy has 12 million subscribers? I only leaned about this UA-camr a couple weeks ago but I must say he is one of very few genuine, uninhibited and honest content creators I've seen. Keep on keeping it real man! We need more strong and positive character in the world, especially in young people. The fact that he's direct and unapologetic on his views while also very respectful of individual choice and autonomy shows an ineffable contrast between him and the majority of content creators. He's a fellow old soul amidst the hordes of confused young adults. Great video btw! 🙂

Even though it was Charlies signature monotone voice, I could still feel his pain when he said he had hit rock bottom. It put a lump in my throat to hear him talk about not having a job, his girlfriend leaving him and all he ever wanted to do was have a positive impact on the world. I’m glad he worked through it and became the man he is today.

Thanks for this video, honestly changed my feeling about Charlie. I was introduced to his videos by my ex, and really hated the way he talks... This informative video really gave me some perspective of Charlie and I really respect him knowing his youtube journey. I later checked out more of his commentary videos and subscribed his channel. He shouted out this channel in one of his videos I watched about EDP.
I found Charlie through this video. I’m a forever fan now. Literally watch his videos every single day. I love his voice and humor. Thank you for introducing me to him via this video.

I really like his content because of how just genuine and upfront he is. I see too many old UA-camrs I used to enjoy as a little kid trying to keep their channels alive or running by pumping out bad content that just isn’t their personality and it hurts to see people have to resort to being fake. This is a really sweet video, I love Charlie. Seeing him so vulnerable in his rock bottom videos is so jarring because of his usual tone and levelheadedness. I’m so so happy he’s doing better now, you can really tell how much he and his friends love each other :)
Charlie is a genuine guy, I was drawn to his videos like a moth to a flame. Super genuine and like able. My girlfriend asks why I like to watch his videos so much his humor is so bland. Yes, omg I think I was still a freshman in high school when he did a face reveal, well, not technically a face reveal. He also appeared as a guest for one gaming group I can’t remember right now. He was wearing a grey top and his hair was cut, I thought he was so handsome.
I was so shocked to even see his face because in one his videos, well multiple, he said he’d never show his face and talked about how private he was in 2013-2014 videos. Man, it’s so nostalgic to even think of this because I was in middle school (2013) when I first subscribed to him and seeing his channel grow and what he became today is like…woah..i’m so proud

Man, as someone who recently started watching Charlie’s content (after it was recommended to me several times in recent years), I find this video to be so heartwarming and wholesome. It actually brought me to tears at one point, knowing that this man who represents so much good and genuine charity in this world today had actually been through a really rough time in the past. It’s crazy to think about, knowing the Charlie of present day. Nevertheless, I’m glad he’s living a happy and fulfilling life nowadays, and will always support his content knowing the profit is ultimately going toward something good.
It's pretty motivating watching videos like this when you're trying to get to your first 1000 subs. Inspiring stuff!

Found out about Charlie earlier this year. It's so refreshing to see a content creator on this platform who doesn't sell out to advertisers and ends with a simple "and that's about it, cya" along with simple content quality with no cringe video effects, pretty backgrounds or overlays promoting his social media. As well as the deadpan humour and presentation.
