One of my repeat watch movies. Next should be Smokin Aces n Lock Stock n 2 Smoking Barrels. All in the same vein... Kooky, star-studded action heist movies.
Michael Nyqvist plays Viggo in John Wick. Boris is played by Rade Šerbedžija. I think I saw another reaction recently that was also confused with that, maybe Syntell.
Funny trivia Tyrone the get away driver was actually a security guard on set before they cast him in the roll. Such a gem. So funny. His delivery about the dog dribbling on his seats gets me every time. Haha😂
This is incorrect. It's been parroted from video to video. Ade is an actor and was known to Richie for years before Snatch started filming (then called Diamonds).
Fun fact on the Pikey accents. There's that scene where Turkish and Tommy are trying to strike a deal with the Pikeys with the rabbit... If you have the subtitles on for the Pikey dialogue? At one point in the conversation, it just goes to questions marks like, ???????? Because it's implied that the subtitles doesn't even know what the hell they're saying. It's the funniest gag.
Rock’n’Rolla is an underrated Guy Ritchie movie. Gerard Butler, Idris Elba and a young Tom Hardy along with a good story is definitely worth a watch / reaction.
Just as a FYI for anybody. In the UK, calling a traveller a "Pikey" is SUPER offensive! Never call a gypsy/traveller a pikey unless you're looking to get beaten by a guy who's been boxing since he was 3 years old. 99% are nomadic and even they young guys who are born and bread in the UK still have the thick accent, it's almost like a secret language. Also, Brad's accent is absolutely spot on, which is unbelievably hard to pull off. Without a doubt, this is his greatest acting performance!
As an Irish man myself I can confirm that Brad Pitt absolutely nailed that Irish Traveller accent most of them sound just like that 😂 also John was wondering how Brad Pitt got the role he was a big fan of lock stock and wanted to work with Guy Richie
Really lad you must be from Cork or Kerry or somewhere sorry 😂😂. But the traveller community in Carlow we can understand them just fine but all the same 👍 lad.
@niallburroughs2897 I'm from Louth sure it's different all over but in the movie there showing how hilarious the really thick Irish traveller accents can be
@@ethanholgate2512 OK have to admit i don't really know the Louth accent but could you only imagine what the Cork or Kerry one sounds like or even a Donegal. Like wee Daniel O' Donnelly. 🤣🤣
Jason Statham being an action star is the real OUT OF HIS ELEMENT, he started doing characters like these, he stars in THE ONE with Jet Li, never punching anyone in that movie, just guns.
Great movie and so many brilliant actors. Brad Pitt in one of his best roles. Check him out in his early movie "Kalifornia", which is great, underrated and nowadays almost unknown. Again Vinnie Jones was perfectly cast. And Statham had his international breakthrough here. Also a great (twist) ending. Thanks for the upload and reaction.
I cannot emphasize enough what a breath of fresh air this movie was to discover in the theater. We went in cold. It was so much fun - I got on the phone to get a group to see it immediately because something this wonderful has to be shared. And quoted often.
The funny thing about Brad Pitt’s accent, there’s a video of Irish people reacting to it, and most of their reactions are, “I can understand everything he’s saying.”
Bricktop and Mickey One Punch are two of my favorite movie characters of all time seriously. Such great writing and Brad Pitt's ridiculous pikey accent is gold!
46:40 it’s interesting you say that because in an interview Edgar Wright was asked if he took some of his camera techniques from Guy Richie and he said no I stole them from Martin Scorsese just like he did
There’s an infamous video where they dubbed Brick Top’s lines over Darth Vader. Worth a watch, if you haven’t already seen it. I think it was called Snatch Wars.
I read that the bank robbery scene where they get trapped is actually taken from a news article from London lmao. It happened exactly that, two robbers got trapped inside the bank until a random woman opened the door from the other side and they escaped.
Yes John, was not expecting Oasis - Fu*k*n in the bushes to get a mention here, that's a good ear sir 🤝 massive fan so I can't pick my favourite. Great reaction guys, I hope you continue on the journey of those you've not seen yet, Guy Ritchie's got a fair few movies that diverge from his "normal" offerings over the last few years.
Guys, Snatch is one of the greatest films ever made! It’s also one of my favorite movies, too! I highly recommend the films The Gentlemen and Wrath of Man, too, if you enjoyed this film, too!
Ritchie's finest hour - Pitt is a howl & literally packs a punch (the revenge is *chef's kiss*) & Farina (...Tony do something terrible...) is always the welcome MVP of everything he was in.
Brad Pitt wanted to be in the movie after seeing lock stock so Ritchie made a role for him. Wasn’t British so made him Irish with a messed up accent. Also pitts right hand man in snatch is Tom from Lock stock and 2 smoking barrels. Guy on the bridge at the end.
This is essentially a more polished "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" with a LOT of the same cast, minus the famous American actors. The details are different, but the whole 'pieces coming together' with the comedy/action thing is the same. I like them both fairly equally, though.
Oh yeah, and a bit I forgot, the accent Brad Pitt does is apparently fairly authentic, as most of the others with the accent are just people that really had the accent that they used in the film. The "P" word is apparently a slur against the Romani people, which are the wanderers he is supposed to belong to in the movie.
When Vinnie Jones's character was introduced, Lucky Star by Madonna was playing. At the time she was married to Guy Ritchie........I always thought that was funny as hell for some reason.
Like many others, this was my introduction to Jason Statham. So when he popped up in every other movie after kicking ass and taking names I was like, "Turkish!?" 🤣🤣
7:08 that's Rade Šerbedžija, he's been in Taken, X-Men First Class, Shooter, Mission Impossible II, Stigmata. He's also been in alot of TV shows. I remember him from a season of 24, the Blacklist, Downton Abbey etc.
Is this the best Brad Pitt character? You can argue for Tyler in Fight club, but he's too unhinged, almost unreal. Which is fun, but I enjoy Mickey more.
Ade/Tyrone is one of the millionaire card players at the poker table in Casino Royale. When Bond orders a Martini, he says, "I'll have one of those too". Although a fairly significant role (screen time) it's his only line......because Ade has that South London accent he can't hide. Not many posh millionaires in South London (roughish, Bohemian part of London. Equivalent to Bed Sty/Harlem/Bronx in New York).
Please react to Big Trouble it’s probably my second favorite Dennis Farina role after Snatch and the rest of the cast is a huge ensemble including young Ben Foster and Zooey deschanel

Pants means underwear in the uk lads. So yeah... lol. Also , A caravan is what you call a trailer. They were originaly horse drawn and called caravans back then too. The director intentionally created pitts character to be impossible to understand. Specifically to trigger haters of lock stock and 2 smoking barrels, who criticized the accents as being too hard to understand
