  • it’s easy to think of your skeleton 💀 as a hard, immovable, and non-living part of your body. but that is not the case.
    instead, picture your bones 🦴 as coral 🪸, a living, breathing, and yes, sturdy BEING, allowing your softer tissue - the striations of your skeletal muscles, the web of your fascia, and the bone-to-bone connections of the ligaments and the muscle-to-bone connections of the tendons - to literally “hang” on.
    because your skeleton is a living part of YOU, it’s important to keep them strong and expanding, and much like your skeletal muscles (your “traps” and “glutes” and “abs”) you bones thrive under pressure.
    that’s why astronauts come back from space with osteopenia - gravity is a great friend of your bones.
