    If you're not into audio books, something like a kindle can help cut down on space too while still being able to read instead of listen :)

    • @MsVictory1945
      @MsVictory1945 9 років тому +2

      You can usually listen to books on a kindle, too. I got a Kindle Fire for a recent trip and you can do both. One thing about audible - you can usually get free ebooks through your local library online free - without all the ads and hassle that can come with audible. FYI!

      @Magic_beans_ 9 років тому

      You can also find public domain books for free at Project Gutenberg (text) or Librivox (audio). They're made by volunteers, so the quality varies a bit, but they're generally quite good.

      Calicido I agree. I usually take paperbacks for travel, not heavy like the book she showed. Also, I often take a book I don't mind leaving somewhere after I have read it, lighter on the return trip.

      Calicido Agree. I do carry my kindle everywhere, but I always look for a local bookshop to get new books as a souvenir.

    From the end of the video, I'm assuming by 'pack' you mean put in your checked bag. For me, 'pack' means 'bring' lol. So I definitely wouldn't say don't pack your medications, I would say make sure to pack your medications in your carry on and not in your checked bag!!!

      +LorraineVirginie Yeah that was going to be my carry on. I wanted to see Kiev, Seems like the Ukraine has a good train depot to all the big cities. See what the Nazi's left standing and what the Russians really want with that place. You know Putin wants something besides to help out somebody.

    Medication, Travel documents, and Jewelry. Yeah I bring those in my Carry on bag not, in my luggage, if you are referring to bringing those items in our carry on, whereas not bring them at all, because without bringing my travel documents, such as a visa, how does one suppose to travel. Lol

    I'd take one book! Specially if you are travelling long term- most hostels have free book swaps so you only ever have to buy one book but can read hundreds! Also in a restauraunt alone books stop people bothering about why you're alone idk why but it works!

    I'd just never bring jewelry on a trip, even in a carry on. Too risky and potentially sets you up as a 'mark' when you're out and about in a foreign place.I'm a scarf fan...they're colorful, multi-functional and accessorize perfectly. xox

    Yeah... not bringing medication is not the greatest tip haha. Usually there's a reason you need it... Better tip would be to bring your prescription as well (and scan it and put it in your deopbox or something incase it gets lost) incase something does happen to your medication.
    Also, never travel with prescription medications without a prescription, especially if it's a drug that has abuse potential, like oxycotin or something.

      I find that there's many options for this! You can find a solid perfume at many stores, or you can find travel size perfume holders to save space, you can even find one time use perfume wipes online - so you could smell different every day. If you're not looking to save space or bend the 3-1-1 rule, I'd double bag it.

    Anyone who brings power bank to Mainland Chinese airports? Unless if you're departing or in transit stop over.
    Make sure your Power bank has a label on it and it supposed to be less than 160WH. 160WH ÷ 5V = 32A ÷ 1000 = 32,000 mAH.
    If it does not have a label, the security will confiscate that unlabeled power banks.

    My chef friends would be appalled at such a breach of knife etiquette. If for some reason you do have to travel with kitchen knives, spend a few bucks and do it right.
    A $5 knife guard could have kept that blouse from getting mangled. You can get either a thin sleeve or a hard plastic locking shell. If you want to travel with a set of knives, a $20 bag will keep all your blades safely bundled together. That's $50 or less to have your kitchen tools doubly protected and neatly organized.
