You can see how happy and enthusiastic the band was at this time for American Idiot. Tré is really playing hard as fuck and the band sounds fit and powerfull

God I wish Green Day still had this type of energy during live performances nowadays.. Green Day are still fantastic live these days, but the during the American Idiot era Green Day was far more energetic. Especially Billie when he used to run and jump around onstage during those faster paced songs such as American Idiot and Saint Jimmy. I’m not saying that he doesn’t do that anymore, but he used to do it with a lot more energy during the American Idiot era.
