You can iron with mod podge too. Put it in your project, let it dry completely. Then put your graphic, parchment paper, then iron. This works for paper, napkins, fabric, just about anything. Love doing it this way. No bubbles, wrinkles, etc.
How high do you set your iron? On cotton setting if I was doing it on card stock, or scrapbook paper? What’s your suggestions @ Cathy Powell?! Thank you !
@@mamashanshan2772 I would try med - NO STEAM - in a scrap to see what works. Usually use hi - no steam for most projects but would test for paper . Hope that helps
Love the rustic bunny tray. It's superb !I'm thinking that wood dice might make good beads. You would have to use a small drill bit so you don't break the blocks ! I saw a bead garland at J.C. Penny's that they originally wanted $ 30.00 for. It was on sale for 1/2 off, but at $ 15.00 it still seemed expensive to me when you can make them for si much less.
Teresa, What a fun and creative video! I am coming for air as I have been busy reorganizing my craft room and just shipped off some handmade gifts for some disadvantaged kids at my cousin's Classroom in AZ. It was so enjoyable to see your video lighting and quality improve. You Go Girl, so proud of you and all you do! Thank you for your inspiration!!! Idaho's Color Lady!!!😘❤
I can't believe I didn't listen to Sherry at least a year or more about you, and it took Annie and the Collab to get me here. I will definitely be binge watching your channel and subscribed immediately!!!! I love almost every single thing you do and though I have never been into dolls and their houses I love miniature's and all the things you can make for them. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent.
Wow! I never had a doll house to work on. You are so lucky to have found one. I will be watching you decorate yours. Love the idea of using scrapbook papers for your walls.
Love all of theses . That doll house i know it's going to be adorable. The beaded garland is my favorite i will be trying that one. Thank you for sharing all these beauty's. Have a wonderful and blessed week. Happy Valentine day.💗💞💕❣️❤️💖
I had that exact doll house that I got for free from my neighbor who was throwing it out, but with my life being torn apart with breast cancer, a messy divorce, didn’t know where me & my youngest son with autism would end up, etc., I started downsizing, so I put it out with a “FREE” sign on it in hopes of maybe a little girl getting to use her imagination with it, but yours is going to look absolutely gorgeous when you’re done & I can’t wait to see it! Take care, 🎀 Lily 🎀
Hi Teresa, I sincerely love watching your Channel... Not only do l think you’re an extremely talented crafter, l love your accent! It reminds me of my late Aunt who lived in West Virginia. I’m surprised you didn’t know about the “Cling Wrap” trick because, we’re about the same age. I was doing this way back in the late 70’s as a teenager. Mod Podge has been around since the late 60’s but it was expensive especially for a teenager. We use to make our own Homemade version of Mod Podge by mixing a 3 to 1 ratio White Glue and Water. Another groovy craft we were making was Crayola Crayons T-shirts! 🖍 Just in case anyone is interested: - Remove the paper wrapping off of your crayons and grate them using the smallest holes. - Iron your T-shirt smooth - Place several (4) sheets of paper towels “inside” your T-shirt. (It prevents the crayon from soaking through the front of your T-shirt onto the inside! This is an extremely important step, do not skip it!) - Lay your crayon gratings onto your T-shirt anyway you desire. Or even into a simple design! ♥️⭐️🌙🌸🌈🔥⚡️ You can use all of the colors you want! Although keep your layer of crayon shavings on the thiner side. You DO NOT want a thick layer! - Cover your design carefully with Parchment Paper (DO NOT USE WAX PAPER!) - With your Iron set on High (USE A DRY IRON, NO STEAM NEEDED!) Just press for approximately 90 Seconds, let your Parchment paper cool for 10 seconds then peel off. If you laid your crayon gratings into a Design, then when you’re pressing your Parchment paper just go a little slower and longer as not to disturb your design. Important Note: I strongly recommend, the first three times you launder your newly designed Crayon T-shirt... Use Cold Water and wash it separately or with your darkest colored clothing! Also, wash it before wearing it the first time! P.S. Several times over the last 45 years, l tried cheaper brands of crayons. I’m not sure why but, the washed out or bled. Perhaps it had something to do with the pigments the less inexpensive crayon manufacturers used. Also, you don’t need to use a box brand new crayons! You can use the broken ones or the tiny nubs your children or grandchildren can’t hold anymore. Also, you don’t have to limit yourself to T-shirts... Several years ago, l made my Granddaughter some Ombré Curtains for her bedroom. P.S. Teresa you wood doesn’t have to be totally smooth, just put 2 or 3/pieces of Cling Wrap and iron it a little longer. Make sure your Iron is totally DRY. DON’T EVEN HAVE ANY WATER IN YOUR IRON.
A dollhouse would be sooo fun!!! 🥰🥰🥰 when I was little my mom got one from a garage sale, where we got most of our stuff... I played with that forever 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I think the messed up ones were just as beautiful because of the imperfections, it gave it more of a aged look. Loved them love love all your creativity. It's amazing.
Wow that saran wrap is genius!!!!!!!!!! Everything turned out gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your dollhouse looks so cute so far and those accessories are so adorable......those little spindles.......omg
I ALWAYS enjoy any video subject you bring to us, especially the wood things like your little sign boards or bird houses....okay, rabbits are my MOST favorite, LOL. I've never been much for miniature doll houses, but watching you paper the walls on that white painted house was kind of fun. And I think that changed my impression.....all those colors that a little child might enjoy just scrambled my vision of it. I have a friend I want to introduce to this world, because I think she might really enjoy it.

I loved this video...all of it. The dollhouse is such a great idea! And I just couldn't believe the colorful toilet paper! I remember when I was a girl, they use to sell colorful toilet paper. I believe they stopped selling it because it caused yeast infections. Great video.
I love love your videos! I need to send you a picture of my doll house. It has a country store at the bottom, several floors with all the different rooms, electricity and real parquet flooring. I purchased it for my mother many years ago. She had already been collecting miniatures for about 30 years. She has at least 250 pieces, maybe more. The majority of them are very very old, some new, and some she made herself. Unfortunately, she never really got the chance to do anything with it. Your video has truly inspired me to take it out and start working on it. I can see my mother looking down, just tickled pink! Thank you! 😌
I've often thought about decorating a doll house Teresa, and I am so excited to watch you do yours. Don't you just love the miniatures Hobby Lobby has? I have bought some for making shadow boxes. I'm new to your channel and I can't wait to see what you do with this dollhouse.

Aww I have one from my great grandmother. Just the other day I was in my attic and found the furniture for it. So it’s been through 4 generations. How sweet is that. I should redo it using what I already have. Sounds like so much fun. Love all your projects.
Hi Theresa. I just found your channel and I'm so excited because I love shabby chic! Most channels farm house and thats not my taste so when a came upon you. Subscribed right away. I like the more roses and pearls but the other kind it cool to I also like the fact you DON'T use all dollar tree items I've been having a green acres marathon today. Lol. I can't wait to watch you put together you do house I've always wanted to make one but I've never had the room so I've had to doing fairy gardens which I do love I make my own houses and such. like I said I can't wait for the doll house gotta run, I have more green acres to watch 🙂
I love the large bead and wood garlands. I’m going to look for those blocks and make one. As always, I love all of your projects! After watching the process of heat and cling wrap, I have some of the houses that I plan to try my luck with that. I think I have Saran Wrap, hope that will work. Have a great day and take care!❤❤
I'm was so happy to see that you are working on a doll house. I bought one at Goodwill about a year ago thinking I would redo it. One of my friends who has an antique booth told me not to paint it. After seeing your video, I think I will go ahead and paint it because I can't figure out how to decorate it the way it is now. Thank you so much for all of the tips. It came with a few pieces of furniture, some I will use but some I won't. Thank you for the links to doll house furniture.
You have so many great ideas and you just know so much about shabby chic! I’m trying to change out a few pieces in my home to shabby chic. I just do a little bit at a time. I shop differently now that I’ve been watching you. Like today, we went to a thrift store and I got so many things to make over I bought a big box of books and three huge bags of different items for 11$. Can’t hardly wait to get started on them. 💕
Hi ; all your DIY so beautiful ❣️ you make it like magic and every thing looks so great!!! u are the best 💖 happy valentine's Day to u and your family too.
Another great video...definitely going to try the plastic wrap and iron... Enjoy the dollhouse my dad built one for each of my daughter's after they were born...they still have them. He made them larger than the regular ones you buy we had so much fun with them over the years. They are all grown now.
You show things so beautiful thank you and I have a dollhouse I’m so excited to start in mine so don’t stop putting pictures or yours to get ideas because you have the best taste
I love these projects! Beautiful! I used to spray paint my beads until I seen another creator put them in DT containers, add a dab of paint or antiques wax, a few spritzes of water, shake and then lay them on a paper towel to dry. It's faster, inexpensive and you get full coverage. If you want the wood grain to show through add water accordingly. For a more opaque look add just a few spritzes as I mentioned. I don't have to worry about the beads sticking together of fighting to get the middles covered. I also like to add the painted beads in another color and making them look distressed easily. It's been a game changer for me. I'm so glad you showed the saran wrap technique. I've wanted to try it but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm a weird one. I use the bubbles from Mod Podge to my advantage. I love the distressed look so I lightly sand over the bubbles after the Mod Podge is dry. It distressed the image beautifully. I love chippy, distressed, perfectly imperfect yummy goodness. I like my images to match the distressing of whatever my blank may be. Love, love , love you, your projects, your channel and Facebook group. Thank you so. Much for sharing. I love the doll house. I've been wanting to find one to do so badly. I love doing miniatures but my eyes don't like to do them. Idk if my bad eyes and spasming hands could do well with that hobby but I would love to try. In the meantime I will live vicariously through you. 💘🌹
Teressa, I think I will stick with the modpoge, I really don't have a lot of problems with it. Sometimes it wrinkles a little or something but I like that it looks more vintage or old. I love those pictures and pieces you used they are beautiful. And loved your ideas with the flips everything looks beautiful as usual. I love the little doll house, im excited to fallow along and see what all you do with it. God bless and have a fantastic week.
You are amazing. I love everything you do!! I am not a shabby decor person but I take your ideas and translate them into industrial farm house. 4 years ago my husband and I built 2 dollhouses for our granddaughters out of 3x3 cube storage units. They were amazing. My grandmother and I build one together from a kit when I was in my 30s. She always wanted one so it was such a fun project. Thank you for all or your ideas and energy. Blessings.
I don't have much in the shabby chic style, but you always tempt me. I'm just afraid mine would end up being messy-looking instead of warm and cozy like yours. I've never thought of doing a doll house, but just finished making a little Valentine's bench for my grandson's Momma and I had so much fun. I might just make one for fun and then give it away since I have no place for it. The fun would be in creating it anyway. On the plastic wrap. I've tried it. It worked okay with a smooth surface, but not at all on anything slightly porous. The plastic melts into the cracks. I tried using multiple sheets too and that wasn't much better. It might work better if you sealed the surface with a coat of chalk paint first, but I don't know if it's worth the effort. Geez, I wrote a book. Sorry - you just always make me excited to craft. Cheers!
About 30 years ago our neighbor asked us to put together a large Victorian dollhouse kit he'd bought for his daughter and had given up on a few years earlier. My husband and I were up until the wee hours of Christmas Eve gluing down about a hundred little cedar shake shingles one by one by one! It was a BLAST ... but I'm sure glad we had all boys and didn't have to do that again! 😆
Haha! I don’t think I could glue that many shingles on either 😊 I may have to have a metal roof! I bet the dollhouse looked amazing and your neighbor’s daughter loved it. Victorian dollhouses are the best❤️
Dollar Tree has wooden dollhouse dressers, tables, and beds. I bought up all the dressers I could find at several DTs in my area and use them in my booth as miniature examples of what my paint will look like on furniture. It was a lot of fun and they look really cute!
Our Dollar Tree used to carry the wood furniture and now that I want some, they no longer have it!! I think I’ve seen your paint display on a UA-cam video the other day. She video-ed a booth that had those little painted dressers as paint samples. I loved it. I wanted all of them for my dollhouse ❤️❤️ Thank you for watching!
@@OurGreeneAcres I think I have some extras - let me know if you want some! I can also check to see if they have any more tables and beds left at the store.
Also! Me and my granddaughter that’s 4, we’re making a Barbie home!! It’s so much fun!! We’re using cardboard to make furniture!! We’ll have to buy some pieces, it’s absolutely so much fun however!! She’s drawing/painting all the pictures to hang! They’re so adorable! She’s painting the frames! A lot of pink going on!!😁😘 we’re making rugs! We cut cardboard shapes the shapes she wants, and using thicker yarn, and/or thin material stripe pieces I cut for her, she’s twisting them, and changing the different materials she wants! This is so good for her on shapes, colors, coordination!! I’d hire her to make me a twisted rug!!
I have waited all day for your video! And you never disappoint me with all the inspiration that you send my way! I don’t do much in my booth for Easter, until now🥰. I can’t wait to get the P. Cottontail stencil so I can make some things. I am not good at stencilling but you make it look so easy! And I love seeing what you add to the precious doll house. Have a lovely week and see you in your next video! God Bless.

Love all your creative ideas!! Can’t wait to see more of your doll house 🏡
Love the placemat in the frame. Very cute. The tray is good too. So many great ideas. All are very pretty & sweet. Thank you!
Thanks so much!
Oh I loved everything you did, gonna find me a dollhouse. Loved your little "roughies", they displayed very well, Teresa. Lovely xoxo
Love all the diys you did the doll house is going to be beautiful
Hi ; all your
DIY so beautiful ❣️ you make it like magic and every thing looks so great!!! u are the best 💖 happy valentine's Day to u and your family too.
Another great video...definitely going to try the plastic wrap and iron... Enjoy the dollhouse my dad built one for each of my daughter's after they were born...they still have them. He made them larger than the regular ones you buy we had so much fun with them over the years. They are all grown now.
Loved your DIY’s. The Doll house is adorable.
I am so excited for this dollhouse!

Love everything it’s so beautiful and can’t wait to see the outcome of your little doll house 😊💕💕
Thank you ❤️
Love the block garland and you could put the blocks at the start of the garland with one ball in between and paint your house number on the blocks.
Love the doll house
You have an eye for crafting, a talented lady
Teressa, I think I will stick with the modpoge, I really don't have a lot of problems with it. Sometimes it wrinkles a little or something but I like that it looks more vintage or old. I love those pictures and pieces you used they are beautiful. And loved your ideas with the flips everything looks beautiful as usual. I love the little doll house, im excited to fallow along and see what all you do with it. God bless and have a fantastic week.
Love the doll house can’t to see what you create !!
Thank you ❤️
You are amazing. Blessings.
Susan - what a sweet thing for you to do with your grandmother - my grandmother died in 1990 and I still miss her terribly 😰
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe due to the covid 19 pandemic?
I love all the doll house stuff ..I have a miniature vanity I built with match boxes
Can't wait to see the dollhouse completed. I have a grand-daughter and I'm sure she would love this
I love the transfers on clear glass! W have never thought
Cheers!
Love watching you Teresa. Can't wait to see the doll house come together. Love that one of your first items in the doll house is a Bible.
I love that frame ! I never find frames like that !
Really real cute items & the doll house is really adorable & fun. Love it all! Good finds & ideas! I would love to do a doll house.
Everything is so pretty! I look forward to everyone of your videos. I get so much inspiration from your creations!💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Lovely ideas thank you look forward to seeing the doll house progress
Loved all of your creative ideas and art! Happy Valentine’s Day to you and all here, many blessings!! Much love💖💫💖
Hi Teresa!! Love the vintage picture frame and the doll house accessories soooo cute. Cant wait to see the result
Love love love the money tray
I love the little imperfect bunny on wood. When I saw the jute and embellishments you added to it I just smiled. I knew you’d make it beautiful!
New subscriber, found you through Julie's Designs & Signs. Just love your creations & beautiful style. 🥰💕
Thanks so much for coming over and subscribing. Hope you have a great weekend God Bless. 💚💚💚💚
God Bless.
