As a Controller that also flies. I am glad that I am not the only one that gets that " look" when you are told to go fast as possible,, now slowest practical. ( nope he didn't use that) ... Great demo on the AP. It feels like texting and flying when working on approach plates and keeping airplane level in IMC conditions. It truly is an important safety enhancing capability...
Ha ha...the looks give it aways sometimes. I cut them the slack though....they are a VFR tower with no DBRITE. You nailed it with the texting reference. Easy breezy programing the GPS, checking weather, briefing the approach, communicating with ATC, etc. You going to make it up to OSH this year?

310 Pilot so I’ve gotta ask-what was your biggest obstacle in getting more familiar with flying IFR? I’ll openly admit as a new guy I worry about spatial disorientation probably more than I should. Hey Kevin, you and Jaime made the Avidyne Facebook page, I noticed this morning that someone there had a shout out for you two and this channel! Good job! Can't wait to get mine installed with the ADS-B/transponder in the back!
Thanks for letting us know about that Wayne! I need to get a Facebook account one of these days...I may be a little behind on that. :) I'll do a bunch of videos showcasing their stuff after I get the rest installed in the mean time, I'll be using the IFD550 for everything and am LOVING it!

Kevin it’s incredible watching pre auto-pilot versus post auto-pilot Kevin. You’ve transitioned incredibly. It’s been a pleasure to watch it happen. Jaime still entertaining with her nerves, and you deal with it with respect. Nice. I’m sure videos to come will demonstrate true IMC. Looking forward to it. Keep’em coming.
Thank you Jay! I really enjoyed the past 20 years of hand flying but I'm loving having the autopilot to help take the load now. More time for other things, less fatigued and safer. Friday's video is our departure from Sun n Fun and we do have a bit of IMC in that video. :)
Jeepers Kev... that sure is one very sweet Auto Pilot..!!! I was Navomatic 300 current which was a "coffee chucker" at best. It would engage in level flight ONLY - and wait until everyone had a cup of steaming coffee from the flask - and then VIOLENTLY pitch down..!! Just as you were recovering from the searing liquid - it would violently pitch up - in :altitude search mode". Thanks for sharing.
Ha ha...too funny Kimi. You gave me a funny mental image coffee flying all over the cockpit. That hits near to me. My old 400 developed the violent pitching as well. Like being on a roller coaster. Loving having a super advanced digital autopilot that isn't trying to surprise me every time I turn around.
@@310Pilot During one of the 100hr inspections an Instrument Tech showed me a solenoid behind the rear bulkhead that "apparently" was the cause of the pitching problem - he also gave me a can of "Pitching Preventer" (some sort of lubricating spray) with the instruction on how and where to spray before every flight - No matter how much convincing spray was applied it NEVER cleared the coffee chucking habit. The A/C was sold with the problem intact. But this made ALL future working APs so much more to me. Everytime I engaged an AP today - I always think of those days.!!
Awesome. I really like the combination of steam and glass in the panel. I wish they'd make all glass round gauges with analog representation (like a tach with a digital needle) too. The new camera angle is great. Picture in picture is amazing. It's great to see 1BC getting all dressed up for the places it's going to go.
Thank you Michael! I really like the mix as well. I'm taking advantage of all the new safety features but keeping a bit of the nostalgic look to her. Thanks for the feedback on the new camera! :)
A great video. Really interesting to a non pilot like my self. I will watch it a few times just for the education. As always thank you for sharing. Love those breakfast flights. Very glad you don’t cut the ending short but you keep it recording until you park. A small suggestion, it would be nice to see the outside and inside of the restaurant if you are allowed. Just a thought And now that I am hungry, time for breakfast but mine is just a walk to the kitchen nothing like yours. Thank you again
Really great video guys!! You videos are getting better and better with the content you're starting to provide! I'm in ground school and the adventures and fun you show through your videos helps keep me motivated!
You're welcome Bob! It truly is amazing and as you mentioned...this was just the surface. I'll do a bunch of instrument approaches on the next one and show full T's, HILPT, procedure turns, missed approaches, holds, etc. :)
Had to do a double take, I thought Jaime was wearing hoop earrings larger than Hailey Baldwin’s until I realised it was her headset. You two are a lovely couple, love your videos, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the nice comment! Glad you're enjoying the channel. Ha ha...several people have thought initially those headset hoops are big ole earrings. :)
Another fun video! I was riding in the Jumpseat into ORD last week and I could’ve sworn Jaime worked us in on the BENKY! So tell her good job, unless you guys have a lot of coworkers that sound similar!
Very possible it was her. We work all the scopes in the building and there aren't very many ladies at the TRACON. I'll let her know. :) Glad you enjoyed the video Shane!
Right now it’s 317-0! No thumbs down! You are loved! Sooo jealous; when I flew a rented Cherokee PA-161 in the early 90s, i was folding and re-folding a paper map with a highlighter and keeping an eye on the panel to see when I was approaching or crossing a VOR, etc... GPS was just a distant/expensive rumor. Anyway, excellent video as always! Keep it up!
Glad you enjoyed it! I started in 1999-2000 and was doing the exact same. My IFR check ride was NDB's, LOC/LOC BC, VOR-A etc. No GPS's in the rental world back then. Loving all the new tech that has made it's way to the GA cockpits!
A very nice surprise to see one of your videos posted for us to enjoy. One word for your flying skills, amazing. The weather was perfect and I found it very interesting having you guide us through the workings of the new equipment. Thanks again, fly safe.
Thank you Dave for the compliment! Glad you enjoyed the video. I figured I'd do my version of tech Tuesday every now and then with some autopilot/GPS videos and maybe some maintenance related ones from time to time. :) Friday will have our SnF departure video.
I managed one of those in the Garmin G1000 on XPlane: coming in to Chicago O'Hare in the Cirrus jet, somehow the GS wasn't engaged on an RNAV approach, I had to go around, I went into the Procedures menu, hit the Missed Approach Button, and I was gobsmacked that the plane went right into a pattern, turned me back out over the lake, and reset my initial approach, and then the RNAV worked just fine, captured the GPath, and that was that. Was really great.
Thank you Franklin! I'm also going to try to increase the frame rate as I heard that helps as well up from 30 to 60. Your wish is my command...I will make a video dedicated to autopilot instrument approaches where I will do T's, HILPT, procedure turns, missed approaches, holds, etc. :)
1Bravo Charlie! Great video as usual guys, really cool to see and learn about your new avionics equipment and the split screen close-ups are mint! Your mastery of the system is evident during your narration explanation of all the system features. Very impressive. Have a good week, see ya on the next 1 Doug@ the "ranch"
Nice tutorial with the S_Tec, thanks. It's a good presentation with the camera where you had it. Looks like it wouldn't take long to learn and acclimate to it's functions. I do view one other guy that gets down to the nitty gritty with navigation, flying a 414 (Air Wagner if you ever want to take a peek) and he flies all over NorCal.
Thank you David....glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback. Always working on improving some of the avionics shots. I think I've seen one of his a while back...I'll have to check it out again.
Another great video and great updates of the new additions to the plane. Good little surprise for the seat belts, new screen and the new comm panel. Having the name of who your talking to on your comm box is a super cool feature and makes it easy to know if you got the right frequency in there. Great job guys!
Thank you...glad you liked it!! Loving all the new additions we have. Making flying safer/more enjoyable. It really is handy having the freq identified as to who it is. :)
I think you made a great choice of the S-TEC autopilot. I love it's ease of operation and should make your job as PIC much easier. It was very nice of Jaime to get up early and ride along. Maybe when you told her you were going for breakfast she had hunger pains! Just kidding of course. Great video. Again A great choice of an AP!
Thank you James and I completely agree! Our flights are safer, more enjoyable and less fatiguing. On Friday I'll put out our SnF departure and we had weather to contend with on our flight path and having the STEC 3100 to take the flying workload off me allowed me to analyze the upcoming weather and make good/safe decisions. :)
That thing is amazing! Doesn't look like much sitting in the panel, but wow is that thing powerful. Mind blowing tech right there! Thanks for sharing, Kevin & Jamie! 🍻
@@310Pilot - I can imagine! I still remember the first vehicle I got that had a working cruise control in it. Even that was huge to me! I can only imagine if it handled navigation, too.😎
Thank you Randy...glad you enjoyed it! I figured I would try to do my version of tech Tuesdays with some dedicated autopilot, GPS, maintenance type videos. Sun n Fun departure will still be out on Friday. :)
I think that AP is going to add years to your life! Can't wait to see the instrument procedures on that thing. I hope you'll also do a vid on the Avidyne with all the cool features they demoed at Sun n Fun. The new camera view is great.
I agree on that Larry...already feeling much more relaxed on my flights. I'll do some dedicated instrument approaches, procedure turns, holds and missed approaches to show it all before too long. As soon as I finish the rest of the Avidyne install in the next month or two I'll make sure to do some Avidyne specific videos as well.
Really interesting video which shows how intertwined the system is, highlighting the GPS and Auto Pilot working with each other. You are obviously chuffed with the whole system Kevin, while Jaime exudes a cool persona (masking her own excitement !) haha ! Hope the breakfast was good.
Great improvements to your panel. Since I’ve been watching your vids, I’ve gotten current after 13 years off and joined a club. Got checked out in their Archer just today. Far cry from your panel, though!
Enjoyed the video. Very interesting and the company should incorporate it into their training package! You two are always great to watch and good to listen to but you did panic me as I thought it was Friday and I had not got my weekly video out!
Ha ha...figured I would do an occasion version of tech Tuesday myself to show off some of the avionics details. Glad you enjoyed it Tim! Our regularly scheduled programing will be out tomorrow morning. :)
You: "I think this GPS Steer is amazing!"Jaime: "I don't think these ponds are usually here." Lol. Great video. Loved the in-depth look at ops using your auto pilot. Keep up the good work.
Excellent, love that extra camera view almost as much as the new AP. You just got another AMEN brother. That would make for a great video at night when you were explaining the button lighting at 21:15 just to show how great it looks a night. This is probably a dumb question but does this aircraft have a TCAS warning system? Another great job Kevin, you and Jamie are well on your way to being one of the top airplane channels. Thanks for taking the time to do all the extra work you do for us.
Thanks for all the continued support! I will be sure to use the new mount from time to time to help show the avionics better. I need to do another night video as well. I don't have TCAS but I do have traffic warning. The difference is TCAS will talk with the other plane and tell you each how to deconflict and issue you a climb or descent. I still have to make the best decision to avoid the plane when I get an alert. That is one of the reasons I'm going with Avidyne's active traffic. Right now I only get planes that are properly equipped. On tomorrows flight there is a Cirrus that passes by 500 feet in front of us and he was never displayed on my current traffic system. :)
@@310Pilot Wow, 500 feet is getting pretty close. I know your safe up there and some times the air traffic looks as bad as it is on the ground, can get kinda scary at times. Thank you for explaining TCAS, that's one of the things in my opinion that makes you a top aircraft channel. I know one day you won't have time to answer all the comments you get but I'll always follow and watch your channel grow to the top. Be safe Kevin and thank you again buddy for sharing your video's with us.
Looking forward to some more Avidyne IFD 550 videos. I recently transitioned to a cirrus running dual ifd 440s. It was a little bit of a learning curve after years of using Garmin products. The new camera set up is great. Hopefully you can share some tips.
Thanks for the feedback John! If you haven't yet, Avidyne has an IFD app for the iPad that is nice to figure out the functionality outside of the plane. I have my plane scheduled to go back into the shop in 2 months to finish up the rest of the Avidyne install (IFD540, remote transponder and active traffic). I plan to do some IFD specific videos after that to help folks who are transitioning or trying to decide what to upgrade to.
You are making my choice harder each time. One day I'm GFC500, then you come back with this and I'm on the 3100 again.......decisions, decisions! Another great video though. Looks like the weather is awesome. I hope it is like that in late July. The wife and I are planning on flying up there for a convention that she has to attend. Planning on making Aurora our destination airport.
Glad you enjoyed it Stan and good luck on your autopilot upgrade! If you're having a hard choice now, wait till I do the dedicated instrument approach 3100 video. :) Give me a heads up when you're coming in and if we are around, we can say hi.
Thank you...glad you enjoyed it and thought it turned out okay! I'll do a few more to highlight different things. Planning to do a dedicated approach one soon. :)
Thank you! I figured I'd do my version of tech Tuesdays on some of these videos and still put out our normal ones on Fridays. The next one is our departure out of Sun n Fun. :)
Thanks for the excellent overview! Congrats on the new GPS as well. Hopefully you’ll do the same overview for the GPS? It would be great to see a full procedure approach or a DME Arc approach on the GPS. Keep up the superb work.
Glad you enjoyed it Daniel! I for sure will do the same with the IFD/Avidyne stuff. Probably just going to wait a couple months until I get the full suite finished (I'm installing a IFD540, remote transponder and active traffic). I will be doing a full instrument video soon though that will show T's, HILPT, procedure turns, missed approaches, holds, etc. :)
Fun to watch for a person who knows nothing about flying @310pilot. Just a suggestion, how about explaining the flight language a little bit when you have time for us non flying people. Thanks
Glad you're enjoying it Jordan and thank you for the suggestion. I will try to put something out like that one of these days. If a couple months go by and I don't please remind me. :)
@@310Pilot Thanks for the reply. I re read my suggestion and hopefully i didnt come off the wrong way. I know you are busy with flying and communications. I listen to your radio commincations with the towers and i wonder what turn base and stuff like that means. I watch your channel to learn and listen about flying. I recently took a flight in an airplane for the first time in my life and it was a Ford tri motor plane. It sparked my interest and i found your channel. Congrats on your new systems and will look forward to more videos! Thank you!
Kevin/Jamie, awesome, awesome, awesome! It is great to see you with the new Avidyne equipment! You have some great capabilities now for either VFR or IFR flights. I hope you are able to do some upcoming IFR flights with somewhat low approaches to see the equipment in action! :-) Also great to see that safety equipment with the shoulder harnesses. One suggestion is, if you see the shoulder harness rubbing your neck raw, consider Jamie or other to sew a small cover with Velcro to attach it to the harness in the neck area from either sheep wool or silk like material. My sister made me one for my shoulder harness and it made a real difference. Again thank you for improving the VID's with the new camera equipment! Your quality has gone up immensely! Don :-) FYI Kevin...I just shared this VID with our "Avidyne Pilots Club" closed group on Facebook. The group has 581 members already. Since you are an Avidyne ower, you should join the closed membership group. There are lots of information from Avidyne themselves as well as Avidyne users on how the products are being used. Avidyne even makes new announcements about their products. We certainly welcome you & Jamie! Just go to Facebook and search for "Avidyne Pilots Club" You are already known entity in the club! :-)
Thank you Don...glad you enjoyed it!! I will get out and do some dedicated approach videos and hope the ceilings are low for that. Thank you for the heads up on the shoulder harness. Jaime may be having a problem with that and I may be reaching out to you about that. I'll try to join facebook soon so I can join the Avidyne club. I'm a little behind on the times. :) As soon as I get the rest of my Avidyne suite installed in the next month or two I plan to do some dedicated videos showing the ins and outs of that as well.
If more people start doing that I'm going to have to up my videos to 4K. :) I usually just do 1080 to not take up so much data considering most people don't watch on 4K devices yet. We'll see how long that last...I need to get more SD cards. :)
Kevin, Your panel is sweet. Nice job on everything and great job on the video. Looks like the autopilot is really cutting down on the pilot workload. Maybe someday I can look into one. Have a great week.
Thank you Mark...glad you thought it turned out okay. I'm LOVING the autopilot and how much workload it takes off me. You'll see in the next video that I have tons of time to make weather avoidance decisions downfield with it. If I didn't have it on that flight I would have probably landed short to check the weather and make a plan. :)
Very cool. (Whew! You got my heart rate up for a second, right after the "Make a right 360" comment, when you sped up the video. I thought for just a second that the plane was doing something wonky.) Enjoy!
Very cool and good job as usual. Glad you got the 3 point shoulder harnesses. Looking forward to seeing more flying with the Avidyne systems. Can you take us along when you do some instrument work. I'd like to see how it handles a complex approach with holds and misses.
Glad you enjoyed it! I'll do a video soon where I show them both doing a bunch of approaches with full procedures, VTF, procedure turns, holds, missed approaches, etc. I'm hoping to have the rest of the Avidyne suite installed in the next couple months and I'll do several videos showing off all their features as well.
Thank you Jesse...glad you're enjoying them! Jaime loves the autopilot. It helps give me more time to interact with her and I'm less fatigued when we get places. :)
A Tuesday Video! I can get be spoiled pretty easily. Thanks for this explanation. I'm not a pilot, but as an aerospace enthusiast what I'm sure is basic and mundane to a working Pilot is pure technical candy to an instrumentation scientist like myself! Thanks as always for sharing! =]
I had to do 5 hours with an instructor for insurance purposes in our club's 182. It was the 1st plane I'd ever flown that had autopilot. On my 1st long trip I nearly fell asleep.
All Aboooard! And a big AMEN! I laughed right at 20 min when you demonstrated the yaw damper disconnect, it made those 2 loud beeps, and I thought it startled Jaime and thought at first that SHE said G@d damn her disconnect! I seriously thought just for a moment the volume of it startled her and that was her reaction! Doh! Then I understood it was Yaw damper disconnect. I have to say I am so amazed with the aviation tech now days, and blown away by how much these systems help pilots in so many ways, from just plowing you to relax and monitor everything during routine, to really helping during bad weather instrument flights and I I think every pilot needs a system like yours, I think during high stress times or an emergency they are life savers. I'm really happy you got this! I'm enjoying watching the details of how it works as I've always wanted to fly and still want to learn but at the very least I'm going to be starting to play around with x plane 11 and see what I can learn just from that. Interesting approach, "transitioning from speed up to slow down" was great! Too bad the shout outs you get dont get time to identify themselves. Sorry for the long letter! I really enjoy the heck out of your videos!
Loving your upgrades... The "other" twin engine plane UA-camr who is a "Pilot" that fly's a "Baron" was asking where "HIS" shout-out was when I mentioned ya'll when we flew over Mineral Wells when you were getting your autopilot installed.... I guess I will have to give him one, you know cuz he needs my 200 subscribers too - HA!!!
Great Video! Good demo of the STEC 3100. I guess you won’t be coming to MLB to get your Avidyne installed LOL. I look forward to the Avidyne video. What made you choose Avidyne over Garmin? Can you bluetooth your FP to the Avidyne from Foreflight? I hate fat fingering 430 so I had a flight stream 210 installed during the annual. You have peaked my interest in Avidyne. I just might have to stop by their HQ. Their hanger at MLB is close to mine as well. Anyway keep up the good work.
Thanks Mark! I'd still like to take you up on the offer one day if/when we make it down that way. :) I just played with both of their equipment, listened to their sales pitch and did a bit of research and the Avidyne system just seemed more intuitive, customizable and presented the best information for me. I really like the option of knobs and buttons combined with a great touch screen for the bumpy days. The IFD comes with built in wifi and bluetooth so there's no need for a flight stream type device. It sends the info back and forth easily to the iPad. Inputting the route into the IFD is so easy and the geofill feature populates what you are looking for before you have to type it all and it shows the route on the map automatically as you are building the flight plan. When you are selecting an approach it quickly shows all the different IAF's on the map to quickly visualize the best entry. The VNAV works awesome and shows your TOD nicely. The 550 has a full synthetic vision AI that shows your route, traffic, obstructions, terrain, fixes, velocity vector/flight path marker, CDI/VDI, etc. I could go on and on. :) If you have a chance to go by there, I'd see if Dale Ferrer is around to show you their systems. He was the guy in the video and does great showing all it is capable of.
@@310Pilot I asked Shaun"Corporate pilot", what would happen if he lost all tech control in his Jet, He said you could land it , but it would be very difficult. So don't forget those basic bird skills. Keep exercising those arms:0 Reminds me of the old "Red Skelton: comedy routine. As Heathcliff" he said 'Boy, I just flew in from Dallas, and are my arms tired! cheers, Rik Specter
That is an impressive system, looks like alot to remember. Was wondering if they have a auto pilot system to fit my Peterbilt, sure would make my life easier. LOL!!!! Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it! It was really second nature after a couple flights. A testament to how well they designed it. My buddy just got one installed in his Massey Ferguson. It's unreal to watch that thing plant perfect rows with no hands. :)
I have AMX240 plus the IFD-540 Avidyne. Love them. My stuff is coupled to the TruTrak Vision. It’s turned the Cessna into CNC FLYING. It works flawless. Bluetooth music in is very cool.
Thanks for the intro to the flight control system, especially the instrument view. Audio is improved as well. Would like a tighter view of the map screen showing your route if you can.
Thanks for the feedback Richard....I'll keep working on that. Glad to hear the audio is improved. It sounded like that for me but was hoping ya'll would think the same. :)

Another great video! The amount of work to integrate modern features into a 40+ year old airframe is awesome! Congrats.
Thank you David...glad you enjoyed it! Project modernize this old bird is coming along nicely. :)
Another great video. You two are great.
Thank you Dean!!
Really great video guys!! You videos are getting better and better with the content you're starting to provide! I'm in ground school and the adventures and fun you show through your videos helps keep me motivated!
Thank you Bill...glad you think so! Good luck on finishing up your ground school/license. :)
Shoulder belts good for safety, bad for the view. Love the video and all the upgrades you've made. Great job guys.
Thanks JT...glad you enjoyed it!
The mount worked out well and your explanation was on point
Thanks for the S-TEC tour, Kevin. That's an amazing setup - and I get the impression you just scratched the surface!
Hi Kevin, Like you've said a couple of times, your airplane is now outfitted like a mini airliner. Amazing technology.
LOVING it! No more TSA for this guy....or at least a much reduced amount of it. :)
Seat-mount cam is fine. Wide-angle lens dampens vibration and shakes very well. Bravo. Like to see the AP execute a missed approach...
I managed one of those in the Garmin G1000 on XPlane: coming in to Chicago O'Hare in the Cirrus jet, somehow the GS wasn't engaged on an RNAV approach, I had to go around, I went into the Procedures menu, hit the Missed Approach Button, and I was gobsmacked that the plane went right into a pattern, turned me back out over the lake, and reset my
initial approach, and then the RNAV worked just fine, captured the GPath, and that was that.
Have a good week, see ya on the next 1
Doug@ the "ranch"
Thank you Doug...glad you liked it and thought it turned out okay! :)
All this technology amazes me seem to make flying that much more fun and safer. great video.
It really is Michael. I love how much more relaxed and knowledgeable I am in the cockpit having all this at my fingertips. :)
Travolta's plane is gone! Now going to watch the rest of the video. Way to go with the 550!
Noticed that right away too!
Not sure where it went. Think they may have moved it to a different spot on the field. LOVING the IFD550. :)
I really enjoy your videos. Thank you. The close up of the panel, I really liked. Please do more on your videos.
Thank you for the feedback Joe and glad you enjoyed it! I will make sure to add that from time to time.
It is crazy how impressively game changing that little box is Smitty. :)
@@310Pilot - I can imagine! I still remember the first vehicle I got that had a working cruise control in it. Even that was huge to me! I can only imagine if it handled navigation, too.😎
Another great video. A nice surprise midweek. Loved the speed up/slowdown on final. Nice work Kevin.
Thank you Randy...glad you enjoyed it! I figured I would try to do my version of tech Tuesdays with some dedicated autopilot, GPS, maintenance type videos. Sun n Fun departure will still be out on Friday. :)
Jamie is looking so cute today, very pretty..... love the videos, the plane is looking sharp too!!
Lol pilot... not so.much! 😁😁
No disrespect here but I see a little Emma Peel thing here. Jaime, I know that is "before your time".
Ha ha...thanks guys. I'm a lucky guy! :)
Really enjoyed the demo. Like the 47-400 I used to fly
Sweet set-up...solid single pilot IFR platform now.
Thank you Frank...It really is a tremendous help making single pilot IFR much easier/enjoyable.
Thank you Barry. :) Breakfast was great!
Your wife has a great voice. She could either be an ATC or a disc jockey.
Awesome videos!👍🏻👍🏻
Great improvements to your panel. Since I’ve been watching your vids, I’ve gotten current after 13 years off and joined a club. Got checked out in their Archer just today. Far cry from your panel, though!
Congrats on getting back up and knocking the rust off!!! That's awesome. :)
Great meeting you and Jamie the other day. Hope you guys had a good flight up to Bessie’s with your friends from Tampa!
Nice meeting you and hope you had a nice flight as well! Bessie's was great (as usual) and they had a fun flight. See you around again soon.
Glad to see you finally got your AP and shoulder harnesses. Great video.
Thanks Travis...things are coming along with her. :)
Great surprise this morning. Love the video Kevin especially the new camera. Jaime must really love you to get up early. 🤣🤣
Ha ha...she sure must! Glad you enjoyed it Christopher and thanks for the feedback!
very well done. new camera mount worked great. auto pilot looks like a smooth ride... keep flying 😉
Thanks for the feedback Wayne...glad you enjoyed it!
You: "I think this GPS Steer is amazing!"Jaime: "I don't think these ponds are usually here." Lol. Great video. Loved the in-depth look at ops using your auto pilot. Keep up the good work.
Ha ha...glad you enjoyed it! I'll try to do some more tech Tuesdays coming up. :)
Love flying with y'all. Come too Cleburne,Texas and we'll buy y'all dinner.
Thanks for the offer Todd...I'll keep it in mind for whenever we are down that way. :)
@@310Pilot I sure will, I'd love to meet you guys. I'll be looking forward to that approach video.
Great video ! I’ve always wanted to know how the autopilot works and now I have a better idea.
Great explanation on the Genesys/S-TEC 3100 autopilot, as usual you are very thorough Thanks for showing. Keep up the great videos.
Thank you...glad you enjoyed it and thought it turned out okay! I'll do a few more to highlight different things. Planning to do a dedicated approach one soon. :)
I really envy you both. Great kids, great mates, great plane.
Always look forward to seeing your videos. Thanx for bringing
Us along.
Thank you Wayne...I'm a very lucky man! Glad you're enjoying the channel.
Don't know if it's the plane drone, or the subject matter, or how you guys talk to each other, but I really enjoy your videos.
I'm happy you're enjoying them no matter the reason! :)
Great job syncing the panel & regular cam. Nice to see all the improvements, especially the long awaited shoulder harnesses. :-)
Thank you James!! That does add some time to the editing for sure. Loving how she is turning out for us. :)
Your videos are much appreciated!
Great instructional video Kev. Jamie looking good as always, can't wait for the next one.
One word; Impressive 👍 thanks guys , cheers from Aussie 👨✈️
Thank you Paul!
Thank you!
Great explanation of the upgrades, very good video keep up the great videos and be safe.
Very nice..getting all fancy with your gizmos and such. Looking good guys. Makes life easier.
Loving how much easier life is with the new goodies. :)
Just about to go to bed and then this dropped , who needs sleep anyway lol nice vid guys
Kevin whoever gave this video a thumbs down either needs a life or is getting paid to be a jerk. Great vid. Very informative.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the support Bill! I learned early on doing this that I can't please everyone...especially on the internet. :)
@@310Pilot Thanks for the reply! I understand. You and Jamie are my favorite flyers. Enjoy each and every vid.
First time watching your videos on my 4K monitor... really great! Take care! 😎
Great video love learning about aircraft systems and operation.
Glad you enjoyed it Gerald!!
Missed you guys. Thought you had gone under the radar. Lol. As always great vid and info. Looking forward to the next.
Bart . Jax fl
Bart Young agree, but a lot of bad weather making flying less fun.
Under the radar?? I've been putting out weekly videos for a while now. :) Next one will be in the morning for my usual Friday release.
Cool new toys kids! Enjoy in good health. ✈️
Thank you Mark...we are having fun with it all. :)
Yes my bedtime video as well, amazing technology, thanks for sharing.
You're welcome Kenny! :)
Ok thanks can’t wait to see that as well
Very cool. (Whew! You got my heart rate up for a second, right after the "Make a right 360" comment, when you sped up the video. I thought for just a second that the plane was doing something wonky.) Enjoy!
Ha ha...sorry for the hear check Mike! Always looking for ways to shorten them to that 20 something min sweet spot. :)
Always great videos. AP looks wonderful. Does Jamie like it? I never get tired of watching. Thanks and take care.
Thank you Jesse...glad you're enjoying them! Jaime loves the autopilot. It helps give me more time to interact with her and I'm less fatigued when we get places. :)
Great job Kev and Jaime.. Love the new AP and mount, best panel shots ever!... Hey P1D beat that!!
Ha ha....thank you Kevin!!
Great video J&K, things have certainly advanced since the piece of string auto pilot. I hope your 310 is “systematic, hydromatic and ultramatic,”
Ha ha...thank you James! It is all those things and more.
Ha ha...ain't it great! Love how much it frees the pilot up to do other necessary things. Especially single pilot IFR stuff. :)
Excellent overview of your new equipment! 👍
Thanks Harold...glad you liked it!
Looking good! Nice video. Good to hear from you!
Thanks Randy...glad you enjoyed it!
Really nice video and intro to the S-Tec...thanks!
Great Video Kevin! Very informative
Thank you...glad you found it so. :)
Very nice upgrade. Whole new aircraft.
Thank you...we're loving it! :)
Good instruction video. I'm not a pilot but much more informed how things work in your plane. Looks like good upgrades.
Thank you Eric...glad you enjoyed it! :)
Smooth as silk, I like the new Avionics
Thank you...me too...LOVING them!
Modern Technology...Wow
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Loving all the new high tech equipment that has made it's way to general aviation recently. :)
@@310Pilot I asked Shaun"Corporate pilot", what would happen if he lost all tech control in his Jet, He said you could land it , but it would be very difficult.
So don't forget those basic bird skills.
Keep exercising those arms:0
Reminds me of the old "Red Skelton: comedy routine.
As Heathcliff" he said 'Boy, I just flew in from Dallas, and are my arms tired!

Sounds like you have an awesome setup as well! Loving all this tech that has made it to our cockpits. :)
Cool video, I like seeing how you work the instruments and the check list, super cool. I’m always looking for the speedometer when taking off 👍
The auto pilot gives you more time to feel up jaime.... just sayin... I saw that episode. She sure is purdy. You are a lucky guy in that respect.
Thanks guys for sharing. Keep going !!!!
Greets from North México.
Glad you enjoyed it Gustavo! We haven't been to your country in a few years need to get back down there. Mexican beer is my favorite. :)
