Just to clarify about the onboard logging: Since the specs were originally released, it is now more flexible. It now supports 5 groups of channels, with each group having its own sample rate (maximum 1kHz), and I think each group can have up to 100 channels if I remember correctly. This means that you can reduce memory usage by logging most channels at a lower rate and only use the 1kHz rate for channels where it's worthwhile. Also, it has loop-logging, so you never have to clear the memory when it's full.
If you have hundreds of channels, then going through and setting the rate for every single one would be a pain. In the real world, 5 rates is plenty and makes it easier to set up.

New to Zac, not to the industry and he's specifically talking about the fact it is integrated, as in you do not require an extra module for it which is the norm🤘 I'm not familiar with the MAPECU 3 but at a guess, it will have an additional module for WiFi (that you probably purchase for an extra fee) rather than being integrated into the ECU correct? - Taz.
@@drjdmtuning4982 it's not cheaper than relays and fuses. I don't think I've spent a combined $4000 on relays and fuses over the course of my entire life.
@@magnetic0314 $4000 is expensive for any one single item in a build. You are actually correct. Especially in the long run. And also if you're starting from scratch (Which most people are not). But this infomercial isn't for everyone. You would have to have lots of money just to get this thing wired in. And set up/programmed correctly. IT IS NOT CHEAP. Even if there's less wiring over all to be done. I do agree with you. But I don't 😅
Depends one one's needs and one's budget - for some it will indeed be rather expensive - especially if they don't need much of the potential! But for others it's actually a darn cheap product - not just because of the hardware itself, but because it is a single unit and so reduce the installation expense for wiring, there being a single unit to place in the vehicle and if there's a suspected problem, it's a relatively easy swap out, and other reasons that don't come to mind at almost 3:30 am.

Weird, on the Link ECU, any channel can be any frequency from 1-1000Hz

This is NOT the first performance product with wifi. I believe MAPECU 3 had this option for at least 8 years.
