I was 6 when I first played this game when the movie came out and fighting Barricade scared the hell out of me because of how he flailed his arms around.

I definitely agree they still do hold up I can only imagine what it would look like if they would have had the models of the transformers when taking damage take away the pain and give them burnt marks and stuff that would have been cool 🙂
The graphics do, but the lighting is really strange.
The graphics were terrible even in 2007 to be fair. The lighting is awful even for its time. Remember, that we already had games like Bioshock or Crysis at that point which easily look one generation ahead.
Fun fact blackouts prototype design was originally meant to be Soundwave but at the last minute they changed him to an obscure character with that being blackout
Yep I know! Explains why he shoots out EMP’s and has a minion!
Also starscreams head design was a scrapped head design for megatron
Playing this on my PS2 was such an experience, just blowing everything up as Bumblebee

Is a bit of a Shame that Ratchet was the only autobot we can't controll in this Campaing, neither a boss in the Decepticons campaing, i think his Buzzsaw could do some crazy melee combos.

@@benpretend_ also their was some weird theory that barricade was once the autobot prowl but it is still unconfirmed at this point and also while we all know the doritoscream meme from starscreams movie design but he wasn’t originally gonna look like that and his original design would’ve made him look more like blitzwing from the BM also starscreams head design was originally made for Megatron but it was later used for starscream and Megatron was given the head design he has in the 1st movie which would be improved over the two films
Also it was used for the biggest attack helicopters in the 07 movie DS games. The color options in both versions allowed enough customization for Shockwave himself, “Astro Magnum” aka Radio Shack’s “Galactic Man” the all-black toy that Takara adopted to make G1 Shockwave, and even an homage to Energon Six Shot!

The last level in Hoover Dam was very difficult, until i know what to do
Just keep blocking until your health low then attack the "Silver Cockroach" to get Heal then block again until the Time is over

Well, technically, you be right you just don’t get to use any of them no matter who you are
Such as with barricade wailing his fails around you don’t get to do that in the actual game but ROTF game they all have abilities
Ahh.. good times, I was 7 when I played this game and Barricade's boss fight scared the shit outta me because for a solid two weeks I didn't know how to beat him, I would either rush him or ground pound.
Imagine the relief I felt when I randomly picked up a tree and threw it at him and saw that stun animation.

I played this on the Wii as a kid and I have no idea how I got it but it was so much fun. I'm not sure if you know about this but there's a 2.0 version of this game.

@@benpretend_ the ds version for both factions is great, you get to make your own transformer, with different vehicle models and color schemes. Though it is the ds version so its less action packed, but it still did a good job

The PC version has mods, which make the game even better. Id recommend trying em out when you get the chance
What all do they have?
@@benpretend_ for example theres a mod called "2.0" completely revamps the game's missions. Quality of life improvements, Cut Content reenabled, theres even some new content like the ability to swap characters in the hub instead of just playing as the characters the game gives you, missions/chapters are also revamped. There are also skin mods for characters that simply change their look, and even some ui skins. And there are multiple other big mods like that 2.0 one i mentioned that are in thr works

Back in the time, My pc could barely handle this game. This was a lagging game for my PC. Oh my poor ass childhood PC 😅

I hated the Hoover Dam chapters with every fiber of my being, hated it as a young teenager when I played it on the PS2, nothing I liked about it then and I still hate it to this day, I definitely struggled with the preventing the Decepticons making it to the car shop that I had to find ways to make sure they don't make it but overall I liked the game just minus the stuff I mentioned, even some of the Decepticon levels I found hard but not as annoying and stress inducing as the Bumblebee Hoover Dam chapters
The Hoover Dam levels were wild fr especially the last one
@@benpretend_ indeed, I didn't like the one where you had to destroy what came out behind each door, hated the destroy fan chapter mission mainly because Bumblebee rather hit support beams and also the survive until the Allspark has finished shrinking
