  • I tried to slow things down a little further with this video as suggested. Hopefully this explains the processes of making a panel from scratch, from creating a paper pattern to the final metal finishing. Please let me know what you want to see more of and how I can improve these videos.
After moving the back wall of the cab backwards on the sills 60mm and thickening the pillars in the previous video, there was a large vacant space at the back of the floor that needed filling. I tried to make the pieces flow smoothly from the tunnel to the back off the wall as well as being strong in its form to structurally support the cabin.
In the next video I'll start chopping the front of the cab and pillars in preparation for rust repairs and the roof chop through the A pillars. Hopefully soon I can start fabricating the roof skin. Please be patient as these videos can take me months to compile the footage as I can only work on the Stout for 1 day per week :)

BTW this year I have 8 9:00 girls who think that a "chick" doing high quality work is "pretty fricken cool". Their words.

To have the ability to beat a piece of flat steel into shape and make it fit the way you want is a pretty high level of skill. To then duplicate and mirror that part exactly is SEVERAL levels above that. I am always astonished with your work. Extremely enjoyable to watch these parts come to life. 🤘🤘

You have an amazing talent and I love that you just get the work done and don’t stand around talking about what you’re going to do. the attention to detail is outstanding. It must take days to actually do one panel completely, but the patience pays off and it shows. This is what people don't understand why something cost so much. By hand takes time, and quality by hand takes even longer, and your time has value and people need to realize they have to pay for that time. Keep it up. I have subbed and wait patiently for the next video.

Thankyou! Yes it sure does take a lot of time, this is my personal build so I’m not concerned about the hours involved.
I couldn’t imagine anyone who would be willing to pay for the hours involved but hopefully they’re out there as I’d love to make a career out of this in the future.
      Thankyou for the sub!
