Such a bummer that most who post this omit the "Frondi tenere" recital in front of it - it adds a lot of spice to the aria. Alas no version that includes the beginning, so nice with harpsichord, to be found on YT.

That's because accompaniment for recitals is led by the singer and not the orchestra/conductor. It would limit the singer in his/her expression. Voces8 has uploaded a version by their countertenor, which has the recit.

Il recitativo e' fondamentale per contestualizzare questa magnifica aria, ma anche molti cantanti professionisti lo "dimenticano" un vero peccato.Ma si puo' cantare a cappella senza accompagnamento per poi attacare l'aria con l'accompagnamento.
