I was very pleased to finally hear my favorite sound and that is the beep of your detector which has been missing from your previous videos. It sounds a lot like the Whites I have been using for the last 22 years and responds exactly the same as yours to a tiny bit of silver to about 5or6 inches deep even while discriminating ferrous junk which are absent to hear except lower tones for a horse shoes and very large junk. Despite the fact it is a VLF unit I have learned to understand what it says and the ground balance and pinpoint is on a single press button next to my thumb on the handle for ease of use in difficult ground. So good finds are quick and plenty.Hope to see more hunting vids from you again soon and cheers from Sunny Australia or down under as we call it.
+John Korhonen hello john, thank you for your kind words! I'm happy to hear you like my video! I love to use the speakers of my machine to give the viewer an idea about how the different objects sound like under the coil. I like detecting videos where you can hear the sounds! thank you for watching and commenting!!! all the best, GL&HH! hans

Hallo Hans, great finds you've made! I enjoyed watching the video, especially the German Mark looks quite nice. I agree with you that this field is very interesting and it is worth going on it! I am looking forward to seeing the next vids from your hunts in general and on this field! Best regards and "Gut Fund" Chris
+Chris Görk hello chris! thank you my friend, I'm glad to hear you like the finds! I love the one mark. . it's a quite rare find for me. . it's the third one in 25 years! I can't wait to give the field another go :) thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best GL&HH! hans
+TerraGermania Hey Hans, my friend and I started to be metalldetektorists last autumn and he was already lucky to find this silver coin, as well, but from 1875. I think the big eagle is that what makes these coins from the german empire so special, even bronze ones! However, we're living in the south of the "Münsterland", where we keep finding many copper coins from the netherlands and sometimes belgium from around 1740-1770. These coins are often in a very good condition. In the next months we want to get a permission for an area next to Xanten, where we'll hopefully find nice roman coins, too:) Best regards Chris
hey chris! I'm happy to hear that you enjoy the hobby! make sure that you also obtain the permission of the archaeologists to detect. . otherwise it's illegal and can cause you trouble. . . GL&HH! hans
+TerraGermania Hey Hans, thanks for your advices :) It's for sure that we need the permission of the archaeologist, as well as the permission of the farmers. However, in the area for that we already have the permission of the archaeologist we have problems obtaining the permission of the farmers because they are afraid of military finds like bombs or granates. They say it causes a lot of bureaucracy work for them, what I can unterstand. For the other area it's not that difficult to get the permission of the archaeologist , but metalldetectorists have to wait around 2 years. I'm looking forward to watching your next hunting video! Gf and best regards Chris
sorry for my smarta...comment. . haha. . but I know that some people aren't aware of these laws. I hope you will find a great site soon! you can also try to explain to your farmer that you can reject iron and that you will only dig small obects!?!? worth a try. . GL&HH! all the best, hans
+Russ White hello russ! thank you for watching it my friend! yes, that's what it's made for. . the tiny thin sectioned pieces we all looking for :) thank you for your kind comment! all the best, GL&HH! hans
You lucky guy finding such nice relics. I found a clay marble yesterday but nothing else like you find, mostly iron and tin all rusty and falling part. Not much history here unfortunately. Thanks for sharing
+get in hello :) it is hard work. . I know that it looks like the finds would pop out of the ground but believe me, It's far away from that :) thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, GL&HH! hans

such beautiful and informative videos. Thank you. I love to watch each one, generally a few times each. So well done and I really love the way the natural surroundings are brought into the video.
hello patrick, thank you for watching my videos ( even a few times ) and for your kind words about them :) it makes me happy to hear that you like my channel! all the best, hans
you are so welcome for my first comment. I do truly admire your way of detecting and your presentation of the finds. I too like the ancient relics and coins. In America, we don't have the rich history that Germany does. Ours is different but, of course interesting. Nothing like the great thousand year old relics that you find. Thanks again and continued good fortune.
Hello Hans, outstanding silver finds! Wow.what is next? Been a warm Fall here in U.P. of Michigan U.S.A. and an El Nino winter ahead, wam and dry,all the best,GL&HH! Barefoot Frank
+Frank D'Alberto hello frank! thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear you like the silver finds! haha. . you never know :) same here in germany . . .unusual warm temperatures! I hope for a real winter this year even though it means less detecting ;) thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, GL&HH! hans
Hello Hans, A great prrmission and some nice silvers, hope it is a celtic silver quarter stator would be a great find for you, all the very best, REGARDS richard.
+booeddie100 hello richard! you are right. . .it so amazing and exciting to detect this place! the small silver is most likely a silver celtic quarter stater as many viewers confirmed. . all I need now is the confirmation of the archaeologists! thank you for watching my friend! all the best, GL&HH! hans
+Brian Oakes hello brian! thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear you like it! that's a fantastic guess! I can imagine that quite good! thank you!!! all the best, GL&HH! hans
Wunderbar. I work hard all day as a plumber, but my phone notifies me you have posted a new vid and the day goes quicker. Get back home, kiss the wife, put the kids to bed, then kick back with a beer and enjoy Metal Detecting Germany. Thank you Hans!

+Matthew Summers (Diggin' Maryland) hello matthew, believe it or not, but I don't have a collection. I hand over all my substantial finds and I only keep things like some pfennige starting from 1875. . these are not archaeologically relevant. so I can't show you a display or something like that :) I hope there might be an exhibition of my finds in the future that i can film :) thank you for watching my friend! all the best, GL&HH! hans

Hallo Hans. Das Objekt bei 3:00 dürfte Teil eines "Speichelfangs" einer alten Pfeife sein. Bild könnte ich Dir zuschicken. Sehr gut gemachte Videos! Grüsse Stefan

+chihene thank you my friend. . .they can actually talk to a certain extend :) but I know what you mean and I totally agree! I would be great to listen to them! thank you for watching! all the best, hans
Hi Hans, nice to follow you on this field finding a lot of silver coins and beautiful relics :-) The little silver looks really interesting. The DEUS is a king finding some tiny little things and impressed me every time. Sometimes it's only a tiny little lead shot from hunting ;-) The tube could be the end of some sort of hydraulic tube like this buschef.de/images/product_images/popup_images/219_2.jpg which is used very often in agricultural vehicles. I thought this because of the hexagonal. Wish you all the best, GL&HH, Paul
+hotliner hallo paul! thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you liked to follow me on my day out detecting :) I have the first confirmation that the small silver could be a quarter stater :) that would be amazing! thank you for your helpful comment and link about the pipe piece! that's most likely what it is! all the best and thank you for watching my friend! GL&HH! hans
hello friend thank you for your book advice have put in order at the library My granddaughter took the round balls to school we found and her history teacher said they could be pistol shot wow really amazing just a few miles from the centre of London the mud is very sticky and the smell is powerful but the fines are in good condition could be the mud? Can't wait for tides and weather to have another go my grandkids love it thanks again for your advice can't wait for next video david
+David Mercer my pleasure! pistol and musket balls are cool finds! congrats! you are right about the mud conserving the finds. . .as soon as the objects are isolated from oxygen they corrode very slightly. . . GL&HH! on your new trip ! all the best, hans
Hi my friend well went to car boot sale with the family and one of my grandson saw a m d for sale £5.00 tried it out and it worked so off we went to the river and spent a great hour apart from tin cans rubbish we found some old penny's from the 40s a couple of horse. shoes and a couple of round lead balls the size of marbles great fun could you recommend a good book to learn more by the why your latest video great brilliant finds keep it up david
+David Mercer hello david! cool. . I bet you all had a lot of fun and obviously you were quite successful too! you made a good bargain with the detector :) I can recommend you "advanced metal detecting" by john lynn (the norfolk wolf) it's the most professional one I know. . but there is another one that is quite good : "handbook for detectorists" by gerd gesink thank you for watching and for your kind words! all the best, GL&HH! hans
Great finds keep up the good work we love what you find, I would love to find roman coins lol but alas i live in Wyoming lol I dont know if the romans made it here lol

+BiGMiN1000 hello! the places I detect are ancient settlements that's why I find coins there. the archaeologists instructed me to detect on these fields to rescue artifacts, relics and coins from the plow. . . thank you for watching! all the best, hans
+Mendi Mundi hello! thank you, I'm glad to hear that you like the finds! for me the 9" coil is the best as I'm detecting very trashy settlement fields and the small coil has a fantastic target separation! it depends on the sites you want to detect :) best wishes, GL&HH! hans
+Michael Hopton hello michael, thank you my friend, I'm glad to hear that you like the finds! It looks quite good! several viewers told me that the small silver is most likely a silver quarter stater :) thank you for watching!!! all the best, GL&HH! hans
Hi Hans, did you notice the initials on the buckle when you turned it over in the video? Just above the spike it says 'HS'...or I'm seeing things and need to have another coffee 🤓
+Emma Golding hello emma, yes I did. . It's a makers mark. It would be cool to be able to find out who it was! haha. . don't worry you 100% sane. . It's the letters HS as you correctly noticed :) thank you for watching and for your comment! all the best, hans
Bravo Hans,as always very informative and well presented.I have many similar finds as yours and would like to ask you a question. Hallo Hans, wieder ein Spitzenvideo, mich würde echt interessieren ob du einfach auf Programm GMP läufst ohne sonst was zu verstellen ! Bei all diesen MÖGLICHKEITEN

. . LG und danke fürs anschauen, hans
Hi Hans ! Great new field with great finds ! Do you still use the GM program on your Deus or do you have allready a customized program that you worked out ? I'm beginning to know the detector very good now and I'm very pleased with its performance. GL & HH ! Johan
+Johan de vlieger hello johan, yes it is. . I knew that It could be a good field. . It's very flat and next to my dream field. . I can't wait to give it another go! Hans HELP !!!! i'm a novice and torn between buying a C Scope CS6mxi and a xp deus lite with 9' coil and ws4 headphones what would you advise i value your opinion
. .dachte aber dann auch an einen schrötling. . .wir werden sehen :) LG, hans

+John Korhonen hello john,
thank you for your kind words! I'm happy to hear you like my video! I love to use the speakers of my machine to give the viewer an idea about how the different objects sound like under the coil. I like detecting videos where you can hear the sounds!
thank you for watching and commenting!!!

+TerraGermania Hey Hans,
my friend and I started to be metalldetektorists last autumn and he was already lucky to find this silver coin, as well, but from 1875. I think the big eagle is that what makes these coins from the german empire so special, even bronze ones! However, we're living in the south of the "Münsterland", where we keep finding many copper coins from the netherlands and sometimes belgium from around 1740-1770. These coins are often in a very good condition.
In the next months we want to get a permission for an area next to Xanten, where we'll hopefully find nice roman coins, too:)
Best regards Chris
hey chris!
I'm happy to hear that you enjoy the hobby! make sure that you also obtain the permission of the archaeologists to detect. . otherwise it's illegal and can cause you trouble. . .
GL&HH!
hans
+TerraGermania Hey Hans, thanks for your advices
:) It's for sure that we need the permission of the archaeologist, as well as the permission of the farmers.
Gf and best regards
Chris
sorry for my smarta...comment. . haha. . but I know that some people aren't aware of these laws.
I hope you will find a great site soon! you can also try to explain to your farmer that you can reject iron and that you will only dig small obects!?!? worth a try. .
GL&HH! all the best,
hans

You lucky guy finding such nice relics. I found a clay marble yesterday but nothing else like you find, mostly iron and tin all rusty and falling part. Not much history here unfortunately. Thanks for sharing

hello patrick,
thank you for watching my videos ( even a few times ) and for your kind words about them :) it makes me happy to hear that you like my channel!
all the best,
hans
you are so welcome for my first comment. I do truly admire your way of detecting and your presentation of the finds. I too like the ancient relics and coins. In America, we don't have the rich history that Germany does. Ours is different but, of course interesting. Nothing like the great thousand year old relics that you find. Thanks again and continued good fortune.
This field is awesome. Great finds!
+CarlosPathfinder yes it is :) I can't wait to return there :)
thank you for watching! all the best, GL&HH!

+booeddie100 hello richard!
you are right. . .it so amazing and exciting to detect this place! the small silver is most likely a silver celtic quarter stater as many viewers confirmed. . all I need now is the confirmation of the archaeologists!
thank you for watching my friend!

I'm sure everyone would love to see your collection. I don't care if it's in German or English. Please! You find the most spectacular historic items.
+Matthew Summers (Diggin' Maryland) hello matthew,
believe it or not, but I don't have a collection. I hand over all my substantial finds and I only keep things like some pfennige starting from 1875. . these are not archaeologically relevant. so I can't show you a display or something like that :) I hope there might be an exhibition of my finds in the future that i can film :)

Hallo Hans. Das Objekt bei 3:00 dürfte Teil eines "Speichelfangs" einer alten Pfeife sein. Bild könnte ich Dir zuschicken. Sehr gut gemachte Videos! Grüsse Stefan

thank you for watching!
all the best,
hans
Hi Hans, nice to follow you on this field finding a lot of silver coins and beautiful relics :-) The little silver looks really interesting. The DEUS is a king finding some tiny little things and impressed me every time. Sometimes it's only a tiny little lead shot from hunting ;-) The tube could be the end of some sort of hydraulic tube like this buschef.de/images/product_images/popup_images/219_2.jpg
which is used very often in agricultural vehicles.
GL&HH!
hans
BTW perhaps the mystery piece is a dagger hand guard end.
The 1915 silver Mark is a magnificent coin.
it's indeed beautiful and a quite rare find. . thank you for watching :)
hello friend thank you for your book advice have put in order at the library My granddaughter took the round balls to school we found and her history teacher said they could be pistol shot wow really amazing just a few miles from the centre of London the mud is very sticky and the smell is powerful but the fines are in good condition could be the mud? Can't wait for tides and weather to have another go my grandkids love it thanks again for your advice can't wait for next video david
+David Mercer my pleasure! pistol and musket balls are cool finds! congrats! you are right about the mud conserving the finds. . .as soon as the objects are isolated from oxygen they corrode very slightly. . .
GL&HH! on your new trip !
all the best,
hans
Hi my friend well went to car boot sale with the family and one of my grandson saw a m d for sale £5.00 tried it out and it worked so off we went to the river and spent a great hour apart from tin cans rubbish we found some old penny's from the 40s a couple of horse. shoes and a couple of round lead balls the size of marbles great fun could you recommend a good book to learn more by the why your latest video great brilliant finds keep it up david
+David Mercer hello david!
cool. . I bet you all had a lot of fun and obviously you were quite successful too! you made a good bargain with the detector :)
I can recommend you "advanced metal detecting" by john lynn (the norfolk wolf) it's the most professional one I know. . but there is another one that is quite good : "handbook for detectorists" by gerd gesink
thank you for watching and for your kind words!

you never know? They may have lol we dont know for sure? lol
Is it possible to date one of the plain bronze rings with analysis of the metal?
I'm sure it would be possible. the question is wether the scientists are interested enough to initiate this procedure.
I enjoyed this.
Your little tube find is the end of a barrel tap.
+Rob Lane hello rob!

Hi, I have a question !
How do you choose places where to metal detect ???
I go search on field where was old house but i cant any coin !!!
+BiGMiN1000 hello!
the places I detect are ancient settlements that's why I find coins there. the archaeologists instructed me to detect on these fields to rescue artifacts, relics and coins from the plow. . .
thank you for watching!
all the best,
hans
Hi Hans. Great finds, again. How about the 9" coil behavior. Is it definitely the "one"?
+Mendi Mundi hello! thank you, I'm glad to hear that you like the finds!
for me the 9" coil is the best as I'm detecting very trashy settlement fields and the small coil has a fantastic target separation! it depends on the sites you want to detect :)
best wishes, GL&HH!
hans
NICE FINDS , HOPE YOUR SILVER TURNS OUT TO BE CELTIC gl+hh
+Michael Hopton hello michael,
thank you my friend, I'm glad to hear that you like the finds! It looks quite good! several viewers told me that the small silver is most likely a silver quarter stater :)
thank you for watching!!!

die kleine silberne ist mit ziemlicher sicherheit ein keltischer viertel stater. und höchstwahrscheinlich aus elektron (gold/silber legierung), nicht silber.
