I greeted my husband this morning saying “good morning…I have a new Terra Germania to watch!” He laughed and told me I had better get started! A delight as always.
One has to wonder what was taking place on this landscape 2000 years ago…. A marketplace? A villa? A fortlet? A workshop area? A rival encampment? Clearly something was happening here! Thank you Hans for another exciting episode. ❤
Constantine II (316 - 340) was Roman emperor from 337 to 340. The son of the emperor Constantine I, he was proclaimed caesar by his father shortly after his birth. He was associated with military victories over the Sarmatians, Alamanni and Goths during his career, for which he was granted a number of victory titles. Constantine II was the enemy of Hans's ancestors (the Alamanni and Goths). He was also the enemy of my ancestors (the Sarmatians).
Thank You Hans, from nearly 1/2 a world away, here in Alaska, USA. IT brings joy each time we find another glimpse into your activities. May God Bless..
wow..where? anchorage? I have been there a couple of times. the 10 hours time difference is killing me each time but nature there is amazingly beautiful! thank you for watching and all the best!
You’re absolutely correct-the rest of the fragments are always there. Many detectorists in the United States say that one can never find the pieces, but this is false. As long as the field is plowed, they will eventually show. Sometimes it takes years. I’ve dug pieces after over 10 years on the same field. Thank you for another beautiful and calming video.
It took me 5 years to find a missing piece of a celtic bracelet. I kept coming back to the same area and one day I found it. It's absolutely worth the patience :) thank you for watching!
Hello Hans, its pleasing to see your latest finds and hearing comments, my days of detecting are over due to age so I make sure not to miss your vids, thanks and looking forward to the next.
Metal detecting, great finds, peaceful surroundings, beautiful sunny day - this is what happiness looks like. Watching your videos is always a pleasure. Thank you for making them 🙂
I only saw a couple Constantine III coins online and they go from $600-1500. They're definitely rare. Nice find! "Constantine was a bit over-ambitious though, as his attempt to enter Italy failed. Attacked by his own general Gerontius and eventually the troops of Honorius, he was killed in AD 411."
Your efforts are truly appreciated. Thank you. At 76 I still detect every week. Your finds are so unique and exciting. Like nothing we ever find in America. I get thrilled finding wheaties, Indian heads and Mercury dimes. These would likely bore you. Ha!
you always have to see the finds you make in context to the history of a country. If you do that the finds you make are amazing! thank you for watching!
I believe that Constantine II coin is from 334-335 ad. I was curious and had to look it up. I live in the US and wish we had that kind of history to find. Love your videos!
Dream field indeed! The excitement shown on your face says it al! I’m not there with you and I’m just as pleased as you are with you’d finds! Beautiful! Thanks for taking us along and documenting it all. I eagerly await your future finds. Be well and take care.

LG, hans

Amazing way to start the weekend. The field has become magical & the treasures are "begging" to be discovered! I am feeling a "silver thimble" is just over the hill. 😅😅 Happy hunting Hans!!!
hello pamela :) you should see the face of the responsible archaeologist of this area when I bring him the finds...haha... he said years ago that he don't think that I will find that amount of coins for a longer time there. it is an extraordinary site. I hope that I will find you another thimble soon again :) thank you for watching and for your support my friend :)
Well done Hans & what some great finds, I think we all have a favourite field to keep returning to, been digging near a DMV for 33 years (30 with Dad) & it still gives lovely finds year after year, not the same without Dad but still enjoyable.
settlement places are never ending sources of finds especially when there is a lot of iron in the ground that camouflages finds until the plow brings them in a better position for the detector to find them. we can be grateful to have a site like that to detect :) I'm sure your dad still comes along with you every time :) thank you for watching my friend!
It's really great what you're doing, especially directing videos professionally and fun, regarding Romanian silver coins why they are rare, thank you very much and have a good day.
