Getting me a pair! These seem a lot easier than the ones for my gen 1 xB.

Thanks for the vid bro! My NRG set is the same exact thing with the hood slightly raised towards the back, not a deal breaker at all. I got my NRG kit for about 53 and change. I notice your kit raises the hood much higher than mine that's a plus. You can still bump your head on mine if you're not paying attention.

Thanks for watching! And yea I agree, not a deal breaker, I like mine! And wow I didn’t even think about that, (probably because you only notice that when it’s not good and you bump your head lol)

Hey bad news I have some good news. I just installed the same kit you did and after installing the rear of my hood was raised slightly with gap just like yours. To fix this I removed both hood brackets, exchanged sides with them, then I loosened the lower bolt of the hood bracket and mounted the arm bracket under the hinge brace with the top bolt. This allows the strut arm to be another 1.5" toward the outer edge which allows for the strut to land on the outer edges of the rubber strip on the cowling. I shut the hood and bingo the hood was flat on all edges, no more bulge up by the windshield.

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to try that! And I appreciate the pics for clarity.

Will they also work on a 2008 scion xb?

I think you put them in the wrong place…should have probably mounted them to the top of the fender inside which would have allowed for a better fit without pushing on the hood

I just mounted them to the bolts that were shown in the instructions. But if I'm understanding where you mean, (the bolt on the top of the fender next to the one that is used for the headlights), that would actually place the bottom end of the shock higher on the car than mounted to where I did in the video. I don't really think that would make the hood sit lower, and it might even be putting stress on the ball joints of both mounts since that would be a pretty extreme angle for the shocks to pivot. (That's just my guess though).
I think the real issue is that these things are just inherently pushing, (since that's how they do their thing). I think that force is just enough to push out on any area with any sort of wiggle room.
But I might try moving them just to see what happens.
      Thanks for your suggestion!
